I have faced the same issue in tamilnadu too., Its simple., This exhaust wont sound that loud if you ride below 40kph., ride slowly or pull clutch and let the bullet roll while crossing cops.. If they stop you just show all necessary documents before they start to look at your bike.. Even if they ask u to rev the bike or start it to hear the exhaust note., just show them politely and say I got this exhaust from showroom from the time of purchase of bike and RTO approved the bike with this exhaust installed., You can see the part number under the bike.. Even if they are hell bend in challaning you., Just take with you the DB killer and install them before their eye sight and say its legal now… Most cops wont stop a bullet with exhaust as they know the feeling for which the customer buys a bullet… But rude cops as you described will insert mic into the stock exhaust and will fine you for not wearing Yellow innerwears… 😖 No logic goes into their minds.. Even if RE CEO explains the legality of this exhaust., they will challan u 😔

@@MidhunVM-z2c it has very low diameter perforated tube and ceramic wool packing... On idle it acts like free flow, on revving, part of the gas goes thru perforated tubes and then into the ceramic wool packing producing enough backpressure... You can learn the concept in google... Its not free flow, but has ceramic wool packing which gives enough backpressure for proper functioning... It wont work like other aftermarket exhausts which has wider diameter pipes, which is actually freeflow..

@@MidhunVM-z2c Yes to an extent,, But backpressure is produced by the turbulence in the exhaust,, There will be backpressure even if you use, hollow bend pipe... the more the outward pressure, more the turbulence, hence more the back pressure... in this specific exhaust...

No the front clamp is of Indori exhaust and rear clamp is Original... I havent welded any clamps.. You can use any single bolt clamps available for indori exhausts...

@@RowdyCA yeah bro.... Thwre was no stock... I mailed RE directly as u said and they sent the exhaust to the neaarest RE showroom. Then i bought it from there... Cutting the weld was very easy. It seems RE volutarily made the weld very light so that it will be easy for us to cut. This is a business trick i think... So we can get the thump without compromising anything like mileage of engine life( which will be affected in 3rd party exhaust).

The exhaust has enough back pressure even without DB killer.. That DB killer is just there to pass RTO approval.. (RTO requires an device to stop fire sparks from exhaust, and Noise under 80db ) Hence slapping a DB killer to circumvent RTO rules is the best idea.. and to please Customers they have given option to remove DB killer instead of welding it completely.. RE should grab the exhaust market.. there are much worse exhausts selling for 5k+ price.. 🤔😅.. The Exhaust produces good thump after riding some 500 kms..

Both exhaust are essentially same.. Peashooter will have better thump and vintage looks, while Slashcut will be modern.. Db killer removal is also similar.. If you own Vintage type classic like Chrome, black, then use peashooter.. If you own more modern colours like, chestnut, ash , Stealth black.. then use Slash cut.. 😇

No not at all, But Its hard to convince cops, You can always show the underside of the exhaust which states Original RE accessory, and Website says RTO approved. But if you get caught by making unnecessary noise or over speeding, Its definitely Illegal 😞. It crosses DB limit when revved hard. In normal usage its just a bit louder than stock exhaust, hence its Legal. Based on usage. They wont even stop you, if they ask about it, just say RE launched it recently and it got approved by RTO, Show them the official RE page, Never let them start the bike and rev like nuts, Even scooty will cross 100 DB limit if revved like nuts.

Yes its noisy, But it goes away if I rev the bike hard, and returns back after few days.. I said the same to service center, and they said, its normal with Bullets 🤦🏻‍♂️… It’s Hydraulic tappet, there is no way to adjust, or else I would hv adjusted it myself… And also, I suspect the sound is from failing Sprag clutch😥, as sound can be located to left crank case cover…

Yes it is legal!! Its not that loud under normal riding conditions., It doesn’t crosses 80 DB, while measured properly at idle and normal revs from the So if they stops you, just show all the necessary documents, If they ask about the exhaust, say it was fitted by the RE at time of delivery as they customize the bike with Make it yours program.. And they wont mind as its not loud at normal riding conditions…. Disclaimer : This exhaust produces very loud sound at higher revs!! So, dont rev unnecessarily when a cop is nearby.. Even if its company made and legal, it does sounds louder like Red rooster at high revs!!! You can’t escape, once the cop hears you revving the Bull!! Yes.. I have checked it, But the reply I got from RE ASC is, its Normal, and they asked me to put the bike in Center stand while parking.. It is caused by improper oil circulation 😑... Is there any specific fix for that Engine sound? whatever I complaint, the reply I receive is .. "Its normal sir". 😐😐😐

And to add to this, this sound vanishes once i rev the nuts out of this engine and , comes back rarely... Only on Mornings.. Are you sure its Bearing Noise?.. It feels like some part is rubbing another part due to lack of oil,.. And once I rev (really hard) , it will vanish..

No reduction in Milage,. TO BE HONEST.. The bike returns good milage even on My harsh riding Habits,.. and About pickup, From stand still the pickup got hampered, reduced a bit.. But while Accelerating from running speed, the pickup increases drastically, it pulls effortlessly till rev limiter in every gear except 5th.. (Common with every Free flow exhaust)
