As a lawyer, I like that they took the time to write a truly shitty one-sided and incomplete contract that I doubt you'd see anywhere in the real world 0:19 It incorporates writings not specifically named in the document or attached as exhibits (allowing for shenanigans by the label), attempts to severely limit any amendment or arguably even redlining of the contract, has no term, no defined compensation, and, of course, surrenders all rights to their music and other intellectual property to the label.

@@mortalkonlaw I don't know what jurisdiction you practice in, but presumably as a lawyer, you're aware that these matters vary from area to area, and there are in fact jurisdictions where economic duress is a valid claim, especially in situations where both parties are already in a contract with eachother, that is under threat of cancellation if new demands aren't agreed to. IE: Exactly what's occurring here. This depends on how the case pictured in the scene would actually play out in the world of Metalocalypse, but I don't think your response is by any means universally accurate.
