Kos4Evr You see how when the camera person accidentally interrupts the short haired person with glasses or the long haired person, the camera person apologizes? It’s because she values what they’re saying but not what the person they’re attacking is saying. SJW’s are all common in that they ask their opponents questions but always interrupt or cross talk them is because SJW’s don’t actually care about what their opponent is saying. SJW’s aren’t talking to have their mind changed or have an actual discussion, they have already made up their mind that they are indefinitely right so it doesn’t matter what the other person says to refute the SJW’s claims. They literally crowd people they don’t like and use a surprise tactic so the person they’re attacking will mess up so other people that see it will join in attacking. When people are suddenly talked at and are asked to answer questions they didn’t prepare for, people are more likely to say something they don’t necessarily agree with because they haven’t been given the chance to really think and appropriately reply the opinions they honestly believe because SJW’s don’t ever really give them a chance. Side note: having to use vague words like “person” when having to describe someone so I don’t accidentally misgender them is exhausting.

@jadecoolness1014 жыл бұрын
• h a z y d r e a m s • first off, it’s the LGBT, don’t shove a literal slur on the end and alienate real gay men who have been assaulted and had slurs thrown at them, k thx. Second, the LGBT isn’t about CHOOSING to "identify" as something. Lets not use conservative christian talking points. No one chooses to be gay, the only people choosing things here are the non-binaries, which is WHY they need to be booted out. They are a poison tainting the whole community and making it look like we’re all just trying to be trendy and cool for "choosing" to be gay or bi, or "choosing" to have dysphoria and transitioning to cope with it. Third, it’s not a thing, therefore you can’t "identify" as it. Non-binaries have no reason for being non-binary aside from "i don’t like dresses" because they’ve never heard of what a tomboy is. They don’t have dysphoria, they don’t transition, all they do is cut their hair short and demand you call em all "they," which is extremely self centered and self aggrandizing because you are essentially demanding that people speak a certain way when you aren’t even around. You don’t often use people’s pronouns to refer to them to their face, you use it to reference someone outside of the current conversation. common coversation would be "that was so fun, right Sarah?" Not "that was so fun, right she?" Whereas when referencing someone not present, you would say "I went to the park with Sarah." Or "I went to the park with her." Aka, 90% of the time you say "she/her" when Sarah isn’t present. So. Fuck it. The real LGBT is sick of people weasling their way in and behaving like complete and utter assholes, then justifying it because "I’m oppressed uwu." We’re sick of people changing our flag to have brown stripes, tacking every label under the sun, PLUS A LITERAL SLUR on the end. Sick of people who aren’t even LGBT forcing their way in, and derailing remembrance day to be about how they’re ~so oppressed~. We’re done with people who don’t belong coming in and fucking everything up for us, because when the backlash comes (and it is, LGBT acceptance is going down in gen Z) WE’RE the ones that have to take it. All the nonbinaries and demisexuals can just go "oh actually nvm I’m cis/straight" when shit really hits the fan. That’s the difference between real LGBT and the fakers.

I personally see it as a problem. People get so angry over something as small as a pronoun and harass people over it. Being called what you want isn't a right. Deliberately calling someone a man when they're a woman when you know they aren't is childish and is truly disrespectful. Some people call people by certain pronouns by instinct. Don't blow up or make a big deal over it.

@@destinysoblivion3268 its a problem when someone blows up because they get gendered on accident. but if someone is refusing to call you a pronoun you prefer (given that you are actually going by that pronoun and not for attention) thats also a problem. Im not gonna blow up on someone for getting it wrong the first time, but by the fith or fourth time in a row, im done talking to that person. its not something you can just get over. If you have gender dysphoria, which this comment proves otherwise, then you can say 'just a pronoun" or "get over it" The nonbinary people in the video are definetly not what represents anyone who identifies as a gender they werent born as, but i can somewhat see where they are coming from.

Lauren Ketchum No actually im not in 7th grade. (There is also an error in the sentence where you asked me if i was, since you didn't use a question mark at the end) And the grammatical error is that "woman" is used when speaking of one female. "Women" however is used when speaking about multiple females. Examples: Look at those women. Talking about multiple females Look at that woman. Talking about one female. So when you say " If a man doesn't want to live with a women that's his choice" Then you are basically saying "if a man doesn't want to live with a females that's his choice" Females is plural, so you are speaking about multiple people.

@@peppermintgal4302 Not stalking you, but this is the second comment I've seen you make, in as many threads, criticizing the professor's substance abuse issues. First, clearly, it's a straw man argument. Completely irrelevant. From the small handful of your other comments that I've seen, you're clearly intelligent. So it's hard to discern what other reason you have to keep referencing this besides...juvenile pettiness. Second, I don't believe for a second he's over-medicated in this video. It's strange you would even suggest it. Fifteen years living in Philadelphia I have seen more people nod out on public transit than I care to count. I've seen people *slightly* fucked up. I've been panhandled by people who are *very* fucked up. And everything in between. Not to mention the myriad family members I've unfortunately also had to witness in every possible degree of narcotic intoxication. So I'm just saying, this is something I have an unfortunate eye for. Not that it's terribly difficult to notice when someone is so impaired they can't be "enthusiastic" in a debate. I would guess clinical training, or personal experience, wouldn't even be necessary. I'd also guess, of all the comments in this entire comments section, *yours* is likely the only one bringing up intoxication at all. Just sayin'.

If you insist on being referred to as "they" or "them", then I first INSIST that you show me your diagnosis of Multiple Personality Disorder AND you must also refer to yourself as "us" or "we". An individual person is not PLURAL, but I'll consider making an exception IF you can furnish a legitimate diagnosis from a licensed medical professional... and live by that diagnosis. If you want me to say they/them, then you're FORBIDDEN from using singular pronouns to refer to yourself. You can't say "I", or "me", or "myself" anymore, it'll become "we", "us", and "ourselves", etc...

"A guy killed himself because his care workers missgendered him" Well that's fucked up, but what was fucked up was him, he needed severe care and his own mental problem doesn't mean other people are at fault. Just because somebody kills themselves it doesn't make the "cause" of it instantly deplorable. A person taking their own life is tragic in almost any circumstance, but just because something is tragic doesn't mean people are at fault and should be legally forced to restrict their freedom of expression. I know this is a shitty analogy but when Hitler killed himself in the bunker as Berlin was getting razed, does that mean that the Allies are at fault because this poor man was driven to kill himself? It's shitty logic no matter the scale of it, not to compare hitler with trans people, it's just an example to prove how fucking retarded it is and how you need severe mental gymnastics and cognitive dissonance to justify it. I'm speaking as a person who is trans, these people fucking piss me off the most out of anybody.

Its very simple: You CANNOT legislate against 'hate speech' that can be defined on an individual level. Eg. Shouting bomb in an airport is universally bad (if there is no bomb), regardless of ANY outside factors. 'Proper' pronouns can be decided on an individual level, so anyone can decide at will that what you just called them was 'hate speech' You CAN politely inform someone of the title that you'd prefer and most respectable people would be okay with that and call you what you want. You don't need to force the majority to accept your gender rules, most people are willing to just let you get out with it and are happy to accommodate...UNTIL you start forcing your rules on us. Then you isolate yourself and make it harder for the majority to live alongside you without serious disagreement.

God-tier level of patience on display here. That creature isn't letting anyone else even express their opinion. You can't say you went there to engage in a dialogue when all you want to do is scream over people about how they aren't catering to you enough. That is so fucking absurd. What is with this generation? They're so fucking coddled that they can't even exist without crying about how some other group of people are discriminating against them when their problems are entirely an invention of their own mind. If you want me to take you seriously perhaps stop tacking on letters to your acronyms and raising hell wherever you go just because you weren't referred to by "the proper pronoun". If you have to cut the acronym off mid-sentence and just go with a "+" because the acronym itself has become so unwieldy that you need a dedicated paragraph just to define said acronym, we have a fucking problem. I'm absolutely against discrimination in all of it's forms, but this is getting so out of hand. Are you for free speech or only the speech that wraps you in overly soft language and caters to your excessively sensitive feelings? At the end of the day, the simple fact of the matter is that there are only two genders. If you want to assign some kind of abstract meta definition to it, that's your prerogative, but it doesn't mean the rest of us have to go along with it. You're literally just making things up at this point. She even admitted that their condition is acknowledged by psychologists, so that being said, I have to wonder why I should treat it as anything other than a mental illness. Why is one required to have psychological screenings before undergoing gender reassignment surgery? Why do so many trans people suffer from depression or commit suicide after completing their transition when they finally have what they've so desperately wanted for so long? What else do they need? To what extent do they expect to be babied by society? Why should I enable somebody playing into their mental illnesses? I'm not saying that gender dysphoria isn't a real thing, we should absolutely help people who struggle living with their own minds in any way that is reasonable, but blowing smoke up their asses and perpetually coddling them just so they don't get hurt feelings isn't the way.

Even as a Trans person, the crowd surrounding this professor infuriates me to an alarming degree. I don’t understand why they believe this should be legislated. If someone that you barely know doesn’t call you by correct pronouns, big fucking whoop, move on with your life. That shit won’t matter in the long run. Mad respect for this professor for putting up with this bs though.

I also love how these guys are totally skating past the fact that this "they/them" stuff is only available in languages that have gender-neutral languages. If we were speaking Arabic, we would have to use female plural or male plural... like Dr. Petersen said, it's linguistically built in... good God.

FR they WAS GOING OFF ABOUT HOW they NEED TO "SURVIVE" BC THEY IDENTIFY AS NONBINARY 💀 no one CARES if someone is nonbinary. seriously. reminds me of a blaire white tweet about how people tend to blame others' hate toward them on racism/sexism/transphobia/etc. but they just them because theyre an asshole, not for their identity.

So that guy's an anarchist... but wants laws telling people what they can and can't call people.
@B1ackDahlia7674 жыл бұрын
He continually answered that he didn't believe pronoun usage would help their cause. Am I the ONLY ONE interested in hearing what Prof. Peterson thinks WOULD be helpful to their cause?! GAWD, people.

The Finnish language has no problems with pronouns since there is only one, "hän", which s genderless. Finland must conquer the WORLD!

@@pinkghost2515 Anarchy isn't a particularly edgy philosophy --- we're kind of against the whole edgy thing, that shit is for nazis and bootlickers who think the Punisher logo makes their trucks look badass.

I mean, honestly, the only edgy "anarchists" are Ancaps, who fanboy over a statist fascist dictator who literally owned an actual rape dungeon. But givern their immense love for Pinochet, I don't think they really qualify as actual anarchists....

I apologize on behalf of all sane trans people. We all just want to live normal lives and be respectfully addressed by normal pronouns, but then these people come along to make us all look like a bunch of nutters. So sorry to that professor and any other professional who's had to put up with this. We don't want them in the community either. -A pre-t, pre-op trans man
@JzanderN8 жыл бұрын
I love how these guys say there's no law that would arrest someone who kills a trans person because they're trans due to hate speech, but are too busy focusing on names to address that actual problem. It reminds me of feminists saying there's no women's rights in the middle east and then focusing their attention on Western countries.
@JzanderN8 жыл бұрын
It's just like "Trans people are being killed and kicked out into the streets to starve! Lets make sure that people call them the right pronouns!" Fucking hilariously depressing.
@metatem17568 жыл бұрын
I'm sure a lot of those people aren't even legitimately trans or non-binary but just identify as that purely to give them a thing to complain about. I am someone who's non-binary, I don't take into account anything when using gendered terms I just use them randomly because I don't care.
@JoeMartinez188 жыл бұрын
The crime of killing a trans person is called "Murder" and people get arrested for the crime "murder" So I call bullshit on that Diagnosis from them.
@metatem17568 жыл бұрын
Marsupilami Well murdering someone for a hate crime is life imprisonment but otherwise it's 30 years. Which is bullshit it should be life either way. I'm sure some people have killed people and then turned their life around and done good to the world over all but most of those people will get out on parole.
@ladyclassicalwrites8 жыл бұрын
+sam carder What if you killed a trans, gay, non-white, other minority person, but it was for a totally different "reason"? I mean, I can't think of a reason to kill anyone, but isn't there a chance that the murderer's motive has nothing to do with the victim's minority status? How does the court even know that? What if it wasn't a hate crime, but just a murder, and the victim just HAPPENED to be a minority?

"I won't cater to people who want to be referred to they/them pronouns" > "so you're against a law to protect trans from being discriminated against" That's basically the kind of rhetorical back and forth conversation these people have and it's highly laughable
