Your video was very informative. I have tried mostly everything however nothing seems to work my last resort was Great stuff Big gap filler. I did the bottom of the seat first. Made sure it fully seated and cargo strapped it down. Sll the gaps were filled. I then did the sides and top.used cargo straps and clamps. All of the gaps were filled. It will swell up pretty much. The seat is solid. Little of the great stuff came out. I then placed gorrila duct tape around the edges. Got a seat cover from Amazon. Now I am a happy camper. I am rebuilding my z4824 huskie. So the seat was a great part that I do not have to be concerned with. I thank you sir for your encouraging video. I appreciate your time and effort. Have a wonderful, blessed day and be safe.

You can use a cargo strap to hold the seat in place.

I used Liquid Nails too, total fail..Looks just like my Husky

I use liquid nail on one and keep it in side out of the weather 😊

I did too, but it still came off after several months, which is why I made a part 2.

I hope to find a nice Universal Lawn Tractor seat to replace mine. I'm having the same issue. The foam on mine has shrunk to the point that getting the seat glued on evenly is next to impossible. It was left outside, unglued for a few years. I'd recommend a seat cover if you're not OCD about it like me. lol I'm finding lawn tractors to be expensive as heck to maintain. $250 for a OEM replacement seat? heck, and people complain about the price of a new deck? hmm. Some of the prices on these parts are very 'scammy'.

Tractorsupply.com has seats for $129 and up. Like everything else the prices of mowers have gone up which makes keeping an existing one as long as possible a worthwhile endeavor.

@@Andrewsnotes1 Thanks, that's what I ended up ordering. I understand keeping what you have. My old seat still 'works' but I was rebuilding a 'barn find' and for $129? It will look good and be more comfortable. (subjective I know...)

Why not Flex Seal around the edge and spray everywhere else.?
