Everyone keeps missing a crucial part of that scene as well, which is Infuriating. When Vader says "I am not your failure, Obi-Wan" that is NOT Vader. That is STILL a sliver of Anakin in there, literally trying to console Obi-Wan. It's subtle but it's right there! It's so upsetting nobody realizes this. You can even SEE the fight in his face, the battle between Vader and Anakin right before he says it. Like he's trying to take control again, just for Vader to take back over to let Obi-Wan know that *he* killed Anakin, with a devilish ass smile to boot. That scream at the end...It's harder than Maul could ever scream. Because Maul doesn't know Obi Wan like Anakin did: On a deeply personal level. He hates only 3 things in the galaxy: His master; Darth Sidious. For ensnaring him in his trap and making him his pawn. His old master; Obi Wan. For seemingly turning his wife against him and causing him to cook to medium well and having to wear the suit because of it. But most of all; Himself. If you've ever struggled with depression, you know what I mean when I say "Darth Vader level depression". You want to die. Every day you want to either die or kill. Just to bury the utter emotional and mental agony of just being alive. You have tried to end it. Vader tried. Multiple times. But the Dark Side kept him alive (in his eyes) as some sick joke. But you can't die. However, you can't live either. You're in a walking coffin. Upright, and forced to go on living. That scream at the end is not of a man...It's of a former man that's been reduced to an animal. Now a wounded and defeated animal. That can only snarl and shriek, despite knowing that it's been beaten. That's all, thanks for letting me ramble.

He just hit Vader's respiratory system control box. He literally made him unable to breathe. I imagine Obi-Wan must have realized the suit was more than intimidation tactics and likely was more for keeping Anakin alive. He was smart to go for anything that even remotely resembled something that could render him unable to defend himself. That's why no other Jedi could take down Vader in canon, even tho alot came close. Several canon comics made it VERY clear that if someone shut down Vader's suit he'd die. One Imperial commander actually got control of Vader's suit one time and manufactured an off switch for his breathing apparatus. It did not end well for him once Vader was able to move.

This is the true version to me, you did an AMAZING edit and I was so sad to see it gone the first time (luckily I had recorded my favorite part already). Wow, I have been to the dark side, don't go there, folks, cling to the light. Obi-Wan is an inspiration, never let yourself go. You can always be redeemed.

First, a 4k upload would be peak. Secondly even without the music the scenes are just incredible. I could have done with some Luke flashbacks and maybe a little remembrance of what anakin used to be when he was trapped under the rocks in the official cut. Honestly, the show is mid af, but this being the major payoff? seeing this brought actual tears to my eyes. I was lucky enough to grow up with both the OT and the Prequels in my life. Seeing Luke get to do actual jedi shit made me feel different, and seeing this makes me feel that too. I just wish Disney could hit the mark more man. All I want is good Star Wars.

3:00 you can tell anakin was somewhat touched by kenobis words or surprised. Looked like he wanted to accept it but it's to late. He needed it a long long time ago

Loved this! Far better than what we got! The problem is we were cutting away to Reva and we all knew that there were no consequences. What do you cut away to you ask, well what if they cut away to the fight on mustafar. Kenobi and Vader remembering how each other fought and seeing the parallels in the current fight would have been amazing to see. Add together your music selection and you’re on to a winner I think. Just an idea for an additional edit.

He almost looks sad in the moments the blue from Obiwans saber illuminates his face. How tortureous to still be trapped locked away inside.

Even through all that makeup and armor, Hayden still looks terrifying. That death state he gives Kenobi as he walks away 😢

I'll admit, I like the original score for this fight, and I can see why Lucasfilm didn't use this score for the show. This epic score was for Episode 3 and Palpatine's epic rise and Anakin's tragic fall, as well as Obi-Wan and Yoda's terrible failure to stop it. All that said though, this fight rescored with all these John Williams epics is AWESOME! Anakin's Dark Deeds while he speaks with his real voice hits hard. I know that speech is like Anakin is trying to push away Obi-Wan's last attempt at saving him and telling him that he has to go on without him, while Vader is playing a sick game to justify himself and tear Obi-Wan and his now 2 win streak down and get in his head. It seems like Anakin and Vader are both speaking the same thing but for different reasons, one twisted, the other remorseful. Also while some folks may say Obi-Wan should've killed him and letting Vader live was terrible writing and this show never should've happened, I would say him saying "Goodbye Darth" and walking away was the worst thing he could do to Vader and wound Vader the most. He was denying Vader victory and his greatest wish, death. I'd say excellent writing and idea to do that fits cannon perfectly.
