I love these videos! I was adopted when I was 2 years old as well as my sister. Even though I never asked my parents to adopt me (I was adopted from a European country and didn't understand English) I tear up after watching these adoption videos. I know I’ve commented something like this before but what a lot of people don’t know is that adoptive kids can be more difficult than biological ones “I would know.” And sometimes the fits they throw are not because they are angry but because they are afraid, they are afraid that you will abandon them just as their last family has and they don’t want to go through the pain again. It takes more time the older a child is when they are adopted to adjust and feel safe. I remember when I was little I would wake up terrified in the middle of the night begging not to be taken again. Just as a reminder, these kids need more love than most can understand.

I'm also adopted. I have had dreams similar to that when I was younger. When I ran into my parents rooms to tell them the dream, they would cry and tell me that they would never leave me EVER!

That is very true. And those kids are starving for love. They soak up any kind of love and encouragement they can get, but it does take a bit for them to realize that their forever home is for real. Bless those young ones.

@@jiogcyihsugyiocjfdoivhphvw6821 nope. I’m saying that anyone who is thinking of adopting a child to think very hard on if they can handle the fits and tantrums that absolutely will happen. Raising children can be hard and stressful at times, and even more so with children that don’t trust you and see you as a threat. So do I think they shouldn’t have adopted the kids? No I think it’s very good they adopted them as they can now grow up safe and eventually trust their new parents. but I am warning others that it isn’t all happiness and roses.

Can you make videos that are of the same nature of adoption? For example, make a compilation that just has kids being adopted as a child, video that just shows adult adoption and one where the step dad/mom is adopting? I would like to forward videos that is specific to one audience type as it helps keep the viewers attention more when all videos are in one area. My family has fostered for 3 years and we want to help spread the word about it, but our main audience are for kids being adopted from foster care. Thanks
