Yep, this and 9 other Northerns will be operating in the US. I hope no more get restored after this. I just don't see how many more railroads will be willing to operate these giants. At least 576 has a railroad to go to.

I remember crawling all over the cab as a kid. Maybe it instilled my love of trains? I'd love to volunteer but it's over 250 miles. Some of the KZbin machinist were working on the stoker engine. Haven't seen anything on that lately.

is the locomotive going to have its full streamlining recreated when its operational? i mean the side skirts and the fully streamlined nose, or will it look like how it looked on display?

Right now our focus is making sure 576 can boil water, after that we'll focus on the aesthetics!
