Its amazing the amount of progress you folks have made with this complete top to bottom restoration. You and the 2716 folks got to work on and even relocated the locomotives at around the same time; but I'm getting the feeling you'll be done YEARS before they even light a test fire.

Nice to see that young fellow so deeply involved with such a precision and important job. I wish I was closer, restoration of such a wonderful machine is rewarding and important to maintain the heritage of steam and what operating those powerful monster was all about. Imagine, the same steam that comes from your kettle, is what drives that locomotive to pull 120 loaded cars.

My special needs son loves trains 🚆🚋🚞🚝🚊🚉🚈🚇🚅🚄🚃 especially steam locomotives 🚂 and he is overjoyed whenever a steam locomotive is restored to operation. He also thinks that 576's whistle sounds a lot like Frisco 1522.

I wander if it is possible to "collect" used steam to reclaim the water and excess heat. Also it is intereting if it possible to replace water with different liquid to reduce boiling point and working temperature.

Possbily oil because the tourist railroads she may opreate on have canyons and dereserts that cant handle smoked coal.

I can’t wait to be on the throttle of 576 I need to push the lever forward and pull the throttle back slowly so the steam pressure builds up you don’t want pull the throttle back fast that will crack the boiler let me teach you guys
