Re: Zero is one of the most interesting isekai anime that has come out in the past few years. The story revolves around Natsuki Subaru being transported from Earth to a new world and he is granted one simple power: "Return By Death". Subaru must use this newfound power to save those he cares about, such as Emilia, Rem, Ram, Petra, Otto and Garfiel and more.
Who is Satella and why did she grant subaru this power? What is the motivation behind the witch cult which have members such as Petelguese the sin archbishop of sloth? These are some of the questions I'll tackle on this channel, I hope you enjoy it and most importantly also enjoy season 1 and season 2 of Re: zero and hopefully it does well enough to warrant a third season covering arc 5 (Season 3 re: zero).

Fun Fact (relating to that Beatrice part about Emilia and Petra): Even though Beatrice usually sleeps in the same bed as Subaru, she also sometimes sleeps over in the same bed as Emilia or Petra. She's even sat before in Emilia's lap. (I've seen before that people really underestimate Beatrice's and Emilia's relationship).

Was this Witch previous Witch of Greed or maybe, Previous Vainglory? I don't know, but there should remains of that Witch somewhere in the World. I think it should be Gusteko.

Maybe 9. Next book will be the 7th one)

After he broke the contact with Emilia in arc 4, he was in kept in a low quality crystal but unable to materialise. At the end of Arc 5 they got a new crystal for him that should allow him to function normally. Since then he's been 'recharging' from Emilia's mana I think.

Garfiel vs Mezoriea is interesting, but I don't like to believe he will win against it, after all its a entity similar to Divine Dragon, which should be something above current Garfiel's level to handle. Beatrice is awake! I thought she _had_ to remain as idle as possible? Her wishing she had contracted Subaru earlier is bittersweet, but she had helped him several times at his lowest even before the contract. Her and Otto understanding that they need to be wary of Louis even if she _seems_ docile is reassuring, even though Louis touching Beatrice makes me very anxious. Emilia using Ice Soldiers and IBA is once again entertaining just like against Volcanica, I love how her fighting style has evolved, I just wish her wits and intelligence evolved as quickly as her combat ability. Wasn't expecting Mezoiera (or whatshisname) to literally be summoned against Emilia. I get what another user was saying now, Emilia seems to want Madeline to surrender instead of freezing her, which is extremely naive here. She had her cornered and could've easily frozen her before Mezoiera got summoned. I'm thinking Emilia will either end up dying or resort to Absolute Zero (which might kill Mezoiera, effectively Madeline's Puck, outright) if help doesn't arrive to assist her. It sounds like a tragedy in the making, so I anticipate Subaru is arriving next chapter to prevent it. He only has good timing, supposedly, so now _would_ be the time to have him enter the battlefield (likely near Emilia, so he can struggle to save her in case she dies or things get out of hand.)

Performing the action of sleeping isn't different for Beatrice than any other person. She chose to sleep before to maintain her mana, but this is a battlefield (or at least close to it). If she can't stay asleep, then that's it. She was even woken up before by conversations in an arc 7 SS. Not to mention how dangerous and reckless it would be to stay asleep while fighting is happening.

If Emilia dies and given Subaru is no where near her and couldn't possibly do anything to save her. Then Re:zero is over. Re:zero main story doesn't exist without Emilia.

@@peppermint3808 That's why I figured he's likely arriving soon to prevent the possible tragic outcome of that fight as the first in a series of loops. Granted Madeline could calm down out of respect for Volcanica upon seeing his scale (if Emilia has it on her) but I figured Madeline would've said something about it already if Emilia has it on her given that it's a huge lump of concentrated mana which a dragon like Volcanica would've been able to detect from far away. I don't think another camp member will arrive to help her considering they're all preoccupied with their battles and AZ sounds like a tragic last resort that'll kill both Madeline and Mezoeira (which Emilia doesn't want to do it seems, she could've been easily finished Madeline off before Mezoeira even got summoned if she wasn't trying to get her to surrender). It would be hilarious if Volcanica, despite the instructions to guard the tower, came to support Emilia or something if she was near-death. Doubt it'll happen, but it doesn't seem impossible either.

So Madeline can tank an ice hammer heavy attack and no damage. But she loses to Priscilla and Emilia for some reason. This whole fight is very sad. You can literally feel fabric of reality twisted by Tappei so that Emilia can survive. Ice Subaru's slowing the momentum and putting some ice on her leg Emilia's leg can take the impact of Madeline's weapon. Though this was one of my favorite chapters since something didn't happened for so long happened. There was a slight good writing here. Of course I am talking about Beatrice thinking about her past indifference. This should've happened WAAAAY before but it's good that we at least got it. We got cheap shounen battle arc when we could get a full Subaru arc with him changing in solitude or something... or anything good since Arc 7 had infinite potential. Also there was some posessiveness and speciality Beatrice felt for Subaru for a while like her not being close to others as Subaru(make sense) since she is too close to her. Snapping to Aldebaran when he calls her Beako and saying only Subaru can(Arc 5). It retconned like many things I guess. Now Beatrice is more close to them and it's almost as if she is Emilia's child and shit. In my opinion I just don't like this. Well. I hope things get better from here. Perhaps Subaru POV will make it worth. Or we might get something in the level of side story where Emilia camp apologizes to the woman who send assassins after Otto because he talked about her affairs... and made him apologize too. That's more likely to happen. Edit: Now thinking about it, Beatrice just forgot about Archbishop was Guese. LoL.

If a human receives a punch on the forehead, it might look like there was no damage depending on the person. Since the fight is sort of from Emilia's perspective, Madeline might be toughing out even painful injuries, but Emilia might think she's impervious. Also wasnt there something in the fight with Priscilla about intense cold being a detrimental factor for dragons/dragonkin

also madeline did take damage but doesnt show visible injuries. also priscilla sword can burn her past her resistance if it made ocntact. thats why she was more cautious before. now with emilia, she cant avoid damage and be worn out, so she calls for help. they are evenly balanced. (emilia can also heal herself)
