I was the Head custodian for years for a school district and I had to change most of the timers out on my new freezers because the Minnesota winter freeze/thaw would lock them up in a year or two. Usually on a weekend! I went to that old style timers and never had problems. Keep up the great content!

That's a great little meter, a beast, got yanked into a large CFM squirrel-cage, ripped the leads,gouged the case but it keeps on trucking.

Paragon 9145-00 electronic clock. Once you use one, you'll never go back to a mechanical clock. They will keep time and program during a power outtage... Only thing better is a KE2.

I have found that slime builds up bad in horizontal runs that do not have enough pitch. Also for the drain going into the mop basin I would change the piping to 2 45 angle pipe fittings to reduce the chances of build up and let it flow better. I have to deal with this stuff from time to time and when I do small changes like getting rid of sudden direction changes get less call backs.

I usually work with my field piece meter. One day my boss asked me to look at something, I said let me run out to the car and get my meter ( I do side work ). He says no thats ok you can have this one. And he just gave me a bran new Fluke 87V meter like it was nothing, with everything you could possibly have with it. That is a bad ass meter however, I only bring it out once or twice a month.

I quit using the paragon mechanical timers. Had three new ones strip out the gears in about a years time. I use the intermatic now. Plus i can stock one and make it replace just about all old mechanicals. Only had one failure on those. The older time clocks would outlast the equipment. The newer mechanicals. Have china made gears and they will strip the teeth off of them. I am with you on the common drains. Hate them.Stop up easy and a pain to clear.

You should try prevclog on drains like that it will never clog for 20 years

@CSXRailfan6588 Жыл бұрын
@@HVACRSurvival it prevents drain clogs for 20 years it’s just a rope coated with silver and copper

the most common clogs on refrigeration is physical debris and chunks, in which that "silly string" will do nothing for, except be ripped out when it clogs up from aforementioned debris. it may be OK for A/C condensate, if they keep the filters changed.

Neither, I said in the video that I was timed off defrost. That means the fans keep running but the compressor doesn't. Pure natural defrost

at minimum, they should have ran separate drains and heat tape per box. even if it had to pass through the freezer. a solid line form one end to the other would be better. also, what genius put 90 elbows on the end of the line, into the mop sink? 🤣🤣 guaranteed insta-clog spot

It seems to me that you spend a lot of your ti'm doing the maintenance that the people should have done at the restaurant. I know they don't have time, or all the years of experience that you have of , But it sure looks to me like it's mostly maintenance That didn't get done and then that causes their problems.
