Even though it's spelled "Neagley", the name is pronounced 'Nee-ly" and here's an interesting Francis Neagley fun fact... the character was named after a real person who won a charity raffle to have their name become a character in the Reacher novels by the author Lee Child. So somewhere in the world, is a Francis Neagley who is going around telling all her friends, "I'm in the Reacher novels!".

It's spelt Neagley, but it's pronounced Knee-Lee. She was only introduced in the sixth book, and bringing her into this adaptation of the first one was a great idea - especially as Lee Child says she'll be the only character to appear in other seasons besides Reacher, so each season can maintain their individual stories with just enough continuity.

ROB ROY. The best movie no one's seen. Stars Liam Neeson & Tim Roth. Was released a month after "Braveheart" and thus, was overshadowed by it. But like Braveheart, Rob Roy is about a factual Scottish person a few centuries after William Wallace. Tim Roth stars as one of my all-time favorite villains in this one. In fact, Tim Roth received his only Oscar nomination for his role in the movie. Just had to mention as a recommendation. Don't think you'd be disappointed.

The washing out the bills trick is legit. I worked in gas stations and convenient (I know it's misspelled) stores for a long time. Word got around that counterfeiters were starting to do this, to get past the special markers we would use to check if the paper was real. So, we had to start checking the metal strip inside big bills, and the watermarks. Hold a large bill up to the light; the president's watermark should match who's on the front, and the metal strip should match the denomination. One dollar bills don't have the strip.
@BolofromAvlis2 жыл бұрын
I had the same situation. One telltale sign about bleached bills is the paper has a very flimsy feel to them, and they would try to get around that by crumpling the hell out of them so you might think they were just old and worn bills. We also used a bill checker because the markers weren't as useful with bleached bills.
@billcrandall93863 ай бұрын
We used to fold the bills diagonally because they wouldn't fold straight, but with the washouts it was hard to tell. An improved chemical might have done it more cleanly.

I've read a lot of the Reacher books. It's sort of his thing, not to get tied down and to keep moving around. He's kind of like a modern day "Kung-Fu", where he travels around and ends up helping normal people in bad situations. Kind of like the A-Team.

@reynaldolorenzo84092 жыл бұрын
They nerfed him in this episode and in the finale. That’s why I hate when they introduce a character like Reacher (powerful for the universe of the character) because then it’s super inconsistent and they have to nerf the character to make dramatic scenes. He even said it himself that if the person he is fighting isn’t trained he can kill it in 10 seconds and this guy wasn’t trained, was way smaller and Reacher shouldn’t have struggled against him.
@610512082 жыл бұрын
Totally agreed! Such a ridiculous fight.

I agree, they should have one of the south american special forces guys put up a better fight making Reacher injured, maybe hitting over the head making him a bit groggy, if they wanted the little psycho guy to make a more believable fight. Or have Reacher 'play' with him since he was the only one left and stood no chance, and he knew that he definitely was one of the people that killed his brother, making his dead very painful and slow.

11:30 this is a scene me and my friend really laughed about and it kinda ruined the show for us. You really expect me to believe out of ALL the trained people in this show, the only one that actually gives him the most trouble and damages him the most is that big eared scrawny guy that has absolutely ZERO intimidation factor? If that guy tried the whole male posturing stuff to me in person, I'd just bust out laughing. They really dropped the ball casting the nephew. They basically played this nephew off as the village idiot of the family. Looks wise the 'family idiot' matches what he looks like. But then he wrecks reacher? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok.

You have to remember is that while they're always talking shit about the Nephew, he is the psycho one. He's going to be unpredictable and wild in how he acts and fights. It's a lot harder to fight someone that's a psychopath that has no care for their own health than it is for someone that's actually worried about dying.

@aussiebladerunner2 жыл бұрын
There are 26 Jack Reacher books so far. Each one is a new story in a new place. There are some occasional character cross references but mainly not (at least in the ones I have read so far) so unfortunately you will say goodbye to some great characters in this season (like Roscoe and Finlay) and on to new adventures as he travels around random places and gets caught up in stuff. The latest one I read had him hopping off a train in the middle of nowhere right into some dark shit. A previous one was visiting where his dad grew up and stepping into some dark shit. I haven’t read any of the books the movies or tv series were based on so I’m not sure how faithful they are. The TV series may break from the books as has been known to happen so maybe some pleasant surprises in future.

Everyone complaining about the nephew putting up the biggest fight seem to forget he hit Reacher multiple times with a crowbar. A normal man would’ve been done.
