I have a rule when drug running like this. I shoot first, ask questions later. I don’t blow up their ship, and leave their gear for them to come back and retrieve too, but see it as an insurance policy for 32k fine to ensure I don’t end up losing my own cargo.

bigger guns lol. Although gimbles allow more accuracy against faster moving targets... bigger guns have the potential to crush those same targets before they are even allowed to pass you.

oversight really, I do use Auto when in harder fights, but I have learned to do it both ways and because they didn't move around too much, It didn't enter my head that the targeting was harder, If I found they moved to much I would have realised and switched it, Normally I have it set to lag pip on fixed guns and when I switch to auto it sets to lead pip, But I think the default has set to lead or in 3.18 it sets the guns to manual aim .

@@veghx yep, But I'm not sure I can change to larger weapons on the Max because they are Duel Guns on a turret type thing. that shows a Lock in erkle

@@veghx You can't upsize the guns on the Freelancer by removing the gimbals, unfortunately. I was asking about using fixed vs gimbals on the Freelancer because I've heard (heavy grains of salt here) that using fixed will land more shots than gimbals on the Freelancer--that you can somehow be more accurate by preferring fixed to auto aim. Up until now it's only been rumour, but I'm reallly curious to know if it's true 😊

I Normally do, But because I have learnt to do it both ways I didn't realise, also because they was AI and didn't really put me under pressure I didn't put the thought in my head about targeting, They didn't move around that much.

I play with a controller, there is only so many buttons, wich means I have to take my hand off it to press a key on the keyboard if I can’t assign it to the pad, for example the power triangle, if I’m in a dog fight I can’t take my hand off the controller to hold f5,6,7 for the power triangle, so I press a button assigned on my pad to speak to Emily, and say power to shields or weapons, I don’t have to take my hand off the pad at all. So much easier and I don’t have to remember all the keys only the saying.
