Little Fatima was only 5 months old, she took ill and was never taken to the hospital because her parents who are IDPs displaced by banditry attacks in Niger state, Nigeria couldn't afford medical bills.
When we encountered her we prayed for her and took her to the hospital and paid the bills.
When we got the clinic in the community, the nurse said we brought her at the nick of time, that if it had prolonged till the next day, she would have died.
Immediately treatment commenced by looking for a vein to pierce in the syringe for to pass in fluid into her body. They couldn't find any and had to cut her head.
Two days after, her parents withdrew her treatment and took her back to the herbal doctor that has been giving her herbal medicine.
Three days after little Fatima died.
