@@german_novotiable Have you perhaps considered that maybe he only walked for like 10-20 minutes everyday? It really isn't that hard to walk 12,550,821 blocks if you just do a little each day. It probably was just a long term goal that he wanted to do, but wasn't really much of a grind. This video just makes it look like he spent hours doing it everyday because this is the finale stream, so he wanted to finish the journey in one stream. Also, he mentioned in the description that he attempted it before, but this world itself only started in 2021. Meaning that it only took around 3 years.
@tropi-rust77252 ай бұрын
@@xcaedes I mean if it took around 3 years, and walking 100k blocks taking him around 9hours (according to his stream lengths and how much he advanced), he wouldve had to walk a bit over an hour every single day within those 3 years. I mean its not much but when you stack it up its around 1100 hours in total which couldve used to do something productive. Imagine he worked overtime for those hours on minimum wage, it would be 13k earned. Or even just learning a skill, exercising, anything instead of walking in a videogame. Obviously everyone has different goals but this is just kind of sad imo, he wouldve had the time to train for an ironman and become a top 1% athlete if he dedicated all that time to training.

yeah i don't really get it myself. there is no reason to rag on someone for trying something. especially if it doesn't affect anyone else negatively. from what i have done here it seems to have only had a positive influence and yet some people are up in arms about how i spend my time. and yet they have no actual concern for me? the only thing i can think of it being is that they are insecure in some way and want to talk down to someone who they think is "worse" than them so they can feel superior. no other reason to be so dismissive of my experience while implying that they'd never "waste their time" with "pointless" things and would only ever be successful and great... it's real silly. I hope one day they realize that they are just having a net negative effect on the world and if I weren't so sure of myself then i would be pretty hurt by the hundreds of comments i've received like that.

It's uncomfortable to think of doing this myself. I think it's a case of someone who lives a life so radically different from my own that I can't really understand or be happy for them.
