here an interesting fact that not many people know about: the only sound that never stops in the whole "universe" is the athan, as you know each city has its prayer timing, so when the athan finishes in a city it starts in another, and then in the different countries, so if could listen from the atmosphere the only sound we would hear like 24/7 is the athan :)

I think giving the Quran first would not be a good decision, because she would not know how to interpret it. About some part she could think it's violent, because you can't understand the Quran without knowing which pieces where send to Hz. Muhammed in which occasion. To what occurrence or thing that happened the pieces were send to guide our Prophet. The Quran is not a book to be understand the meaning of what it means in which contex, without knowing the reason behind it and in which situations some thing are valid.

When you hear the Athaan, you have to stop everything your doing so if your listening to something you have to turn it off or if your talking to someone you have to stop talking. When the Athaan starts you have to listen to it and be quiet throughout and repeat each sentence after its said. When it finishes you have to read the Duaa (prayer) after Athaan, and then make your way to Masjid to do Wudhu (ablution) and pray along with the Jamaah.
