Not only that the movie was hit at first, but Nickelodeon had even decided to make him the host of his own 3D ride attraction called Nicktoons blast at universal until 2011.

Harry Potter fact: The books coming out one year earlier is NOT true, unless you cut out the context in editing, cause that was true for some later books, BUT the first one corresponding to the first film mentioned, came out in 1997, so 4 years before the film...

I was 9 when the first book came out September 1998 in the US. At the Scholastic Book Fair I wanted Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, but my mom made me get Harry Potter. I could never thank my mom enough, I even survived the long wait between Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix.

Glad to know I wasn't the only person who caught that error. I remember seeing the first 3 books being read by boys in my class in primary school in 1999, and the HP movies and LOTR movies came out the same year. My sister got me to LOTR by saying, if you like Harry Potter, you'll love LOTR. Also, the 25th Anniversary of the 1st books is releasing next year. That's makes me feel old.

I actually remember when Monsters Inc. came out. My mom and I were at a McDonalds or Burger King and they had the toys there. I think I got Roz as a toy. Only reason why I remember is because my mom took some pringles and made them into a duck bill, it made me laugh. Not to long afterwards I got my happy meal with Roz. The movie was released 12 days before my birthday, so it must’ve been a birthday treat for when I turned 3 years old.

Technically, by 2001 the first four books were released in both the UK and the USA. The first coming out in 1998 in the USA while in the UK it was released in 1997.

It is bizarre watching these young people feeling old. I am old enough to remember seeing my parents watching adults arguing on TV, which I now know was the Watergate scandal. I remember Esso changing its name to Exxon, and MasterCharge becoming MasterCard, and BankAmeriCard becoming Visa, and Datsun becoming Nissan. I remember Pong being so much fun.

Book1 Philosopher's stone was out in 1997 - movie didn't come out until 2001 Book2 Chamber of secrets was out 1998 - movie didnt come out until 2002 Book3 Prisoner of Azkaban was out 1999 - movie came out 2004 Book4 Goblet of Fire was 2000 - movie was out 2005 Book5 Order of the Phoenix was 2003 - movie came out 2007 Book6 Half-Blood Prince was 2005 - movie was 2009 And Book7 Deathly Hallows was 2007 - with first movie out 2010 and second 2011

It just feels so weird because I'm 21 (2000 baby) and I grew up with most of these. I knew most of these were like 20 years old, but you just forget how old these movies and things really are. Uh, Sorcerer's Stone book came out in 1998. Chamber Of Secrets and Prisoner Of Azkaban dropped in 1999, and Goblet Of Fire released in 2000.

The OG music on the go was the walkman in 1979 by sony. It had two headphone jacks because sony thought people would not listen to it on their own because it would be rude. Was called guys and dolls, presumably so couples would listen together.

Old enough to remember the Kiki's Delivery Service commercial and the first Pokemon GAME commercial (the bus scenario always freaked me out/confused me, haha). Monsters Inc came out when I was in kindergarten; only reason I remember that was because it was raining one recess so they had the kids stay in for a movie (pretty typical back then, either movie or cafeteria board games), and it was Monsters Inc, and I didn't really know much about the movie, just thought it was about monsters so it scared me xD But was later pleasantly surprised. TBF, portable music was initially started more with boomboxes and portable personal CD players, xD. But, I AM old enough to remember the original iPod Shuffles coming out... and the first iPhones hit the market when I was like 11 or 12, SMH at all the kiddos 14 yo and younger who have smartphones now lol :P

Spirited Away is in my top three favorites of his, probably my number one of his. And the fact that it won on Oscar proves that. The night scenes are just so wonderful and mesmerizing to look at. Every thing about this film was and still is great. And I was the same age as the heroine when it I first saw it. And Mulan came out in 1998, not 2001. Eddie Murphy did voice both Mushu and Donkey so I guess I see the confusion.
