@moell6823 жыл бұрын
@Grimmy Grim Grim I think you'll find that "mild tasting" is in the definition of bland. It's not to say the food is bad, but the flavours are definitely not strong nor are they really very interesting.
@moell6823 жыл бұрын
@Grimmy Grim Grim really you seem quite vexed by the fact I simply don't find British food to be very interesting. It's an opinion, it's a preference, I love how you're trying to school me like it'll change my mind 😂 what makes a "shit taste bud"? I like meat, I just don't think it's a particularly imaginative way to add flavour to a dish, I was vegetarian for years so really I think of much more interesting things to put in cooking, not just spices either. Aromatics, herbs, alcohols, fruit seeds or peel, nuts, different types of oil or butter but to name a few (yes some of which are in British cooking I know). You must be very cultured and interesting to be giving long patronising culinary lectures to people writing innocuous comments on a light-hearted video

This was very cute! That being said a lot of those choices would be very controversial here, not just the marmite twiglets. (Great job on the prawn cocktail though! Best flavour!) I hope someone sends you some more Cadbury chocolate from the UK because the ones sold abroad are usually made in different factories with different recipes and don’t taste the same. The authentic British version has more milk. British chocolate is generally very different to American chocolate because of the higher fat/milk content as opposed to the sugar American chocolate leads with and their other inexpensive and artificial ingredients.

@TrulyByronic4 жыл бұрын
Eva W nope but I saw it in the Middle East. I think it’s supposed to be like the wholelnut version?
@TrulyByronic4 жыл бұрын
Victoria Goforth yeah they are very open to other food and it’s nice. I don’t know about feeling superior toward American food but it is a fact that a lot of US food does not pass the EU’s regulations and many companies have to also change certain ingredients first before they can be sold in Europe. It’s been a big controversy in the UK about potentially importing chemically washed American chicken. When we were in the EU it was banned. The public want reassurances that our food standards won’t slip because we’ve left the strict EU. The comparison was because American snacks had already been tried. Also, due to the Cold War and proxy wars in the Far East, Americans snacks are more widely available and/familiar. If I say American chocolate has more sugar or artificial flavours, it’s not me looking down on it, it’s a fact. I don’t like American chocolate but I do like American snacks like cheetos and sour patch kids (your jelly sweets are better in my opinion).

Now this is just about the most adorable little grandma I have ever seen. Zooey also is so cute, I just love the kind of upbent, slight crooked smile/expression on the left side of her mouth. She is cool af. I don't know what it is about Korean people, but I almost always (to this American) find them to be among the coolest, charismatic of foreigners right up there with Aussies/Kiwis. Many years ago while living in the Wash DC area (NYer now) I formed a friendship with a young Korean immigrant dude that could barely speak English (fine considering I could not speak a word of Korean and at least he started picking up English better and better) and we bonded, particularly initially, in an almost completely non verbal manner. I even got to know his family and they were the warmest, kindest of people. I was even able to tolerate his girlfriend, and he mine!!! We hung out, played video games and sports, went to clubs and movies. It remains one of the oddest of friendships I ever had and I so regret losing touch with Mike Han. It is the intelligence and wit, profound wry and satirical sense of humor while remaining totally respectful I believe. That is a rather artful way of communicating, I dig it very much. These videos are addictive too. Subscribed.

She sent you some of the most devisive items she could have thought of, Soreen, Twigletts, pickled onion monster munch..... . Your gran was so polite, alot of Brits wouldn't have given a second's thought to throwing all above in the bin unopened xD.

@@darthslayder6904 Prob some of the best adverts in history but that doesn't take away from the fact it tastes like 3 month old grass clippings that a cow has recently defecated on with just the right amount of vinegar and the 'you mean to say that you expect to sell this as a condiment' from the advertisement company just for good measure.
