Well, some things we know about Aaron Glen is that he paid his dues. He played the game at a All Pro level, so he knows what it takes to get a player to that level. He also played DB so maybe he can get Sauce to get his head out of his ass and learn how to tackle. We know he can call defensive plays and he is leader of men that will hold his players accountable for their actions. In my head i wish he could bring in ex-Jets to help him coach up some of these guys. If they are interested, it would be great to see Mangold, come and be the Oline coach. How about asking Revis to be the DB coach, maybe Klecko couldbe the Dline coach.

I think most of the hate is coming from people of my mindset that really wanted a more offensive minded coach. I don't hate Glenn as HC, but I certainly don't love it.

No one hates Glenn. It's the decision and process. Nothing different. Nothing outside the box. No offense AGAIN in an offensive league. Hymie got a non alpha GM, as I predicted, so he can remain the Jets unofficial boss and our biggest issue. Yet people are celebrating like we just hired Andy Reid and Dorsey. Same fans celebrated Saleh, which was another, why go D again and the same fans pushed back, you a hater man -- yet the first to turn on Saleh were those who celebrated. This will be the same. Hopefully not, may Glenn have amazing success. But, what's better than hope? Proven success, especially in an OFFENSIVE QB LEAGUE where those who know offensive rule unless you have an all time QB which there is like 3. If McVay had Allen, Allen would have rings already.

I disagree, it’s not the same. Glenn is a different man with different experiences. Also unlike Rex, Bowels, and Saleh I don’t think Glenn will be buried in the defense. We can also use the same logic that people wanted to use last week to justify Josh McCown, look at his playing history. Glenn knows saw what not to do with a team and what to do with a team as a player then of course later as a coach. Stop the BS if it was an offensive guy AKA McCown people would be ready to give the keys and a 10 year contract and that dude never called a play

It's offensive vs defense. It's by far, by far far an offensive league. And the Jets haven't figured that out in decades. That's all it is. Nothing more.

Glenn while not the worst choice is probably my 5th choice among the coaching candidates I would have preferred (Vrabel, McCown, Flores, Kingsbury) even knowing some had no interest in us. Glenn seems predictable and uninspiring considering it’s an offense driven league and Woody showing his utter football ignorance now at quarter of a century in to owning a football team. He is the dumbest owner in pro sports. As for Newmark…that is just gross negligence if we hire this Idzikian bum who nobody had as a GM choice. He’s been a front office guy for 30 years. So let’s eschew the best GM criteria for just being an acquaintance of your coaching hire. Once again Woody with his imbecilic org chart arranged marriage.

Offense has been our problem for the last eight to 10 years. but we keep hiring defensive minded head coaches. This **** does not make any sense. This is the same thing we did four years ago with Salah. History repeating itself. The definition is of insane. is to do the same thing over and expect different results. You are insane.
