The song was Fast Love. It was a really different arrangement, much slower & moodier, perhaps as a way of showing George Michael respect. But she wasn't happy & bless her, she stops it, restarts the performance to truly honor George. She's just amazing. She knows what's what & she's not afraid to fix what ain't right. She's inspiring.

Totally agree with both of you on Adele, lover her so much! I had to have a massive discussion with someone about it as they thought her stopping the song was really unprofessional but i think it's the most human and honest a celebrity has been about just showing that it's cool if things don't go right and you ask to try again. She's just such a genuine person and yeah basically she's just a queen haha

Adele was very emotional(teary) during the beginning of the George Michael tribute, making her sing off-key...but she's so GENUINE she stopped to get control and give a truly befitting tribute too George Michael....Love Her!

yes that's correct, in line in the first verse should be "all that bullshit conversation" and for some reason she changed it to "all that "useless" conversation". I think she was a bit overwhelmed and couldn't remember if the Grammys knew that she was allowed to sing that (they were prepared to bleep it out)- which she probably realized a couple seconds later after changing the word; she was allowed to sing "all that bullshit conversation". Originally there wasn't going to be a tribute, his family was against it and then they came back to the Grammys and said you can do it but only if Adele does the performance. I feel in a little while she'll shake it off but I do think in that moment she didn't realize she was "Adele" and she can command a restart of the performance but I don't think she was thinking about that she was so upset- she made a mistake and wanted to fix it. I hated seeing her facial expressions after she re-started it, she looked devastated and embarrassed, but she killed it like always and gave a beautiful performance.

I disagree.. her new stuff has such meaning. She is still telling her story. Yes. I agree critics have try to cast her as Whitney or Celine, but she is too down to earth and normal to be them. She sings from the heart and about her life. Not songs that have no meaning to her.

Actually, her biggest slip was lyrical, she wasn't off key or anything of the sort, she sang "but if I'm looking for fast love" but the actual original lyrics are "but if YOU'RE looking for fast love"...

I thin k the main reason she restarted the tribute was because the Grammy's wanted to keep the song clean and made her sing "all that 'useless' conversation" rather than "all that 'bullshit' conversation" which she did change when she restarted. Also Water Under the Bridge is my favourite Adele song hahaa

Adele had a different arrangement for the song instead of the original but it was hard and uncomfortable for her to sing, so she changed in back to the original to be truly like George Michael. LOVE YALL
