I have never been so excited about music until Alejandro arrived at the main stage. This young man grabs on to your soul and does not let go until he is done singing his songs. He is a true musical genius. His songs suspend you from reality and he takes you on a journey. His song Blesser, for example, made me sad and happy at the same time. Like, what song or artist does that? That's musical power! I will forever be a fan.

By my count this was his 5th original this season, which is just incredible! I'm completely obsessed. I don't even get this excited about artists I've been following for years. Truly a one of a kind talent! I can't wait for him to release a full length album so we can all support his career. He deserves all the love he's getting!

Let’s count...out loud, 12 years, cholo love, Poison, Blesser and he as soooo many more! I started watching Idol because of Alejandro. I don’t think previous contestants have done more than one original, if that. most did covers the whole time because they don’t write songs. Maybe Idol will step up in the next season and look for more artists.

@@smg3253 he's definitely changed the game and for the better. If I hear one more bad Mariah Carey cover by someone I'm going to scream. Just the fact that they aired his original song for the audition spoke volumes. I think they realized quickly that they had something special on their hands. I'm so happy he gave Idol a chance; otherwise we may never have known about him. He deserves all the opportunities that will be coming his way!

I've watched the other videos of Blesser, all amazing, but played so grandioso it was difficult to distinguish the lyrics. But with this performance I could hear the words! I loved the decrescendo at the end, the softness of his voice and piano. It was perfect! Your reactions are always similar to mine...nearly gushing with joy...but you have those dimples Kix.

I hope you get to meet him one day as well! I’d be fawning all over him. Lol He’s so down to earth. He has a couple interviews this morning from a local news station and radio station. Try to find them because I know you will love them. He’s sooo humble and says he just wants to do music...not I want to win and he NEVER asks for votes or put his voting info on his IG. In one of the interviews they asked him if he’s practiced his “parade/pageant wave. He said I have sausage fingers so he could do it well. Both of his covers were great! His cover of Elton John’s “Sorry is the hardest word” will probably bring you to tears. He filled it with raw emotion.

AI finally did something right on this one - they showed his fingers playing the piano. They actually made it the focus which just goes to show you how extraordinary they think he is. I just wish they would've let him play and got rid of the back-up singers!! This performance tells you one thing - as Lionel said, "he is a phenom". And Luke. "I'm not worthy to judge you". I cannot find enough words to describe the level he's on compared to the other contestants. All Laine has is a pretty smile and Madison, though talented, sound like everyone else on the radio. Neither Laine nor Madison have forged their own trail. Alejandro has BLAZED his trail. His creativity is beyond comprehension. Alejandro for the WIN!! Vote for him next week people!!

He’s probably beating himself up and obsessing over the mistakes toward the beginning and the middle. It’s his cross to bare like many hyper talented people. But the brilliance came through loud and clear even though. Loved that toned down ending better than the original KZbin version. I don’t know if others are thinking or saying this but to me one of the things that makes him and his music so appealing is his vulnerability is as raw as it gets without him saying a word or having to tell his story. It is seen completely through his music. He draws you in with his unique sound, his perfect and complex style, his amazing arrangements, and lyrics that are poured out like liquid gold. I find myself wondering about him and what his story is. There is this desire to know and understand how he arrived at where he is. He has allowed his life experiences to fuel the passion in him to write and perform his music the way he does. He is like an author who writes in such a way that you no longer see the words on paper but rather pictures in your mind. I’m so in awe of his gift and his humbleness about it. I pray he never lets it turn him from who he is right now.
