The ending with Panam - you get out of the city with her (is she is your romantic option) or with her + Judy (if you romance Judy). It's open enough to continue playing - it ends with you taking new meds from Viktor that will prolong your life and going with the Nomads to seek help outside the city. But technically you can find a way to fix your condition in any ending - it's open enough and can be DLC or sequel if they wanted to. If you listen to the ads in your apartment - there was one for pharma company that has created nanites that fix the brain for dementia patients. Which is basically what V needs - to fix his/hers degrading neurons.

It was weird when he compared Cyberpunk 2077 to Fallout: New Vegas. Cyberpunk had over 6 years to be developed and New Vegas only had 2 years in total. Cyberpunk thought they could run a complex next gen game on last gen systems that couldn't. That was bound to cause problems.

Too be fair the entire engine and most of the assets for new Vegas were already up and running thanks to fallout 3…obsidian just used em better

9:40 ah, you mean the Jesse Cox quest. He's a KZbinr with rather close ties to CDPR, he was also an easter egg in The Witcher 3.

He's also implicitly form the Bozos gang, which is mentioned in 2020 and RED but is said to have disappeared between 2045 and 2070

About the RPG stuff (the quests changing the entire world and shit), I actually think that Cyberpunk not having a branching plot _with_ the world reacting around you is a strength in itself. Of course, spoilers below for those who does not want to spoil themselves. Cyberpunk the World is all about how a single person cannot simply change how the world works. I mean, the Keanu Reeves self-insert planted a nuclear warhead inside the Arasaka HQ to change the status quo, and surprise surprise, it changed fuck all. The central theme actually does suggest that theme of us being a worm in the large corporate world the game and the real life offers. We give the homeless some dosh, overthrow a strip club, send 17 cyberpsychos into a permanent coma for that fixer to do science, save a struggling nomad clan, and raze Arasaka once again, but the world goes on. Every single ending does not end with us rebuilding Night City into the ideal American city, but with the player and the characters accepting their places in the world. The Devil has V accepting that he/she had been played like a fiddle. The Star got V into a _dying_ legend, only focus on doing the next best thing and assimilating into the NC routine. The Lovers got V and Panam _leaving_ NC and hopelessly try to find a cure. The Sun got Silverhand leaving NC to start over. The Reaper has V getting a .45 ACP retirement plan. At no point do we ever save the world or meaningfully affect them in anyway, and if we did tear Arasaka a new one, Militech just goes in for the power struggle. _And I just fucking love it._ However, with the game being advertised as an RPG (before silently changing tags to simply Open World in Steam) I can get why others are frustrated with the lack of choices and relatively good-bad-neutral endings. New Vegas did it and everyone loves it. Witcher 3 (a CDPR title before their higher-ups took some pages out of CP2077's corpo guide) has it and it's still well-liked. I'd probably enjoy a Cyberpunk game where I can mold the world into the authoritarian hellhole that I desire, but with how the source materials are written, I can see and sympathize with why CP2077 seems limiting. And of course, it is harder to write a game with consequences than a game with choices.

I think the problem with Cyberpunk is that aside from the main story and a very few amount of quests, the game doesn't really have much to keep you playing. It isn't like ES or Fallout where you want to keep playing and coming back to see the different choices and playstyles with each activity. Hell, even Witcher had replayability. The city and world, outside of quests, is lifeless and never really responds to you. It lacks that impact, and while some of the quests and main story are definitely worth it, they aren't enough for a second playthrough. Maybe if you want to see the different life paths, but even those never really affect your gameplay and story significantly. I found myself finished with the game permanently after my first Nomad playthrough.

@@Proftrof I think a lot of the replayability problems would be solved if they just implemented a faction system, even if it was just a rudimentary one. But no, CD Red got big brain and thought "Hurr durr you are mercenary why would you be in faction lol XD" so we never got a basic system that's integral to an RPG experience.

yeah i killed the Voodoo boys, i killed them through a wall with that tech gun from that one nomad mission (i think it's called the "widow maker" or some shit like that) and i felt like killing that guy and all the people in that room at the end through the walls to be disrespectful, it was great!
