Break out the go-go boots, miniskirts and tie-dyed shirts. Angelina is taking us back to the 60s. I love the "repeat and fade" ending, just like the good old days. Adam, I remember your very first reaction to Angelina (I Put A Spell On You). You were a little tentative, but still impressed. Then, a couple of reactions later, she sang "Stay" by Rihanna and you said, "OK, we are dealing with a genius." You haven't looked back since. This piece is SO incredibly feel-good with Angelina! Sophisticated, classy, right in that soulful jazz pocket! I've had "Mercy" and "Warwick Avenue" on my long term favourites list since Duffy gave them to us, love them both. One down one to go Angelina *fingers crossed* I did see the movie last night... Pretty much a yawn, sadly. But hey, the first 5 minutes where Angelina sings ... Love it! I have to mention the last song too, it's such a lovely piece "Somebody" by Dagny. Really a great pop song!

Angelina in this cover is simply Angelina, superlative and more and more unique, this is a very beautiful song for her, but which songs are not? He also recreates the instrumental and vocal background (always with his voice) which is a bit loaded, like in Duffy's version, but on the other hand is part of a movie soundtrack, so the musical choices definitely weren't tied. only to the aesthetics of interpretation. But always, Angelina's voice stands out powerfully, along with her talent. She’s just the classiest performer I know, it’s like she brings fresh colors to „oldie“ songs (be it jazz or other earlier genres). Fantastic! I don’t think it was remixed, only re-uploaded with less compression/higher resolution. So it is a KZbin thing, not a studio thing. Aside from that and the fact that I personally prefer to hear Angelina’s voice with as little else as possible, I think the big production, layered voices (all Angelina) and the little rap suits this song very well. It’s a party, a blast and simply good fun, and works perfectly for the intro to the movie. Also, whatever Angelina chooses to do in the future, I hope she doesn’t limit herself to singing sad songs by the piano - even if she does that better than anyone else.

Another incredible work to add to Angelina's massive library. And what a milestone to get the opening credit song in a feature film soundtrack. An interesting note... for the first few hours this video was up the lyrics they had posted in the description were actually for Warwick Ave instead of Mercy... a sign of something coming in the future? We can only hope. How amazing would that be! After I alerted her manager of this, they changed them to the correct lyrics, but I am hopeful those lyrics being there had a hidden meaning. I love that song as well.
