I’m sure hundreds, if not thousands of us shared your sorrow and shed a tear for your Nana. This is what Angelina’s music does for us, and by design. Angelina said of this song (while admittedly shedding her own tears in singing the song for this performance): “ This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine.” My sincerest condolences Samantha. ❤️❤️💔👣

We can never be ready for this... Angelina shed tears when she did the original recording. Her relationship with her maternal grandfather was very deep. From what I understand they used to look at the moon together and when they were apart she just needed to look at the moon and know that she would be connected to him. Fly me to the Moon is one of her favourite songs, in her version of Back to Black - she is the one who speaks to the Moon. Her grandpa passed away before the AGT Champions series was broadcast, I feel that she would really have liked him to have seen that and all the success she has had since then, she feels that he can see all that see does and she can still talk to the Moon and he will hear it...

Isn't the point of art to touch our souls? I think our tears (yes, mine as well) are a compliment to the skill of the artist. This girl has an incredible ability to stir our emotions, to make us feel what she wants us to feel. To give us that good cry that leaves us feeling drained but healed. Just know that you do not weep alone.

Angelina Jordan is a music prodigy she started singing at age of 1.5 years and more than that she started with Billy Holiday Jazz. Angelina sings in 3 languages, designs her own clothes, and has written a very popular book called "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts)"Norway's youngest published author" a story about why she wears no shoes during her performances, and like her name she truly is an angel with a heart of gold. Angelina won Norway's got talent when her audition for Billy Hollowday's Gloomy Sunday went viral and she got world press she started the competition at 7 years old and won at 8 years old. In her younger years before age 13, she was watched over by her mother (Sara) and her Uncle, a manager, who just wanted her to grow up normal. Her mother and uncle Turned down almost 90% of all requests for her to perform but even so from age 8years to 12 years old or so, she has been all over the world (Mother and or her Grandmother never more than a breath away) Angelina has donated millions to environmental causes and children's causes around the world. Angelina has produced over 160 covers, and 6 originals and she makes all of them her own, all of which will astound you. New people to Angelina get sucked down this"rabbit hole" not believing what they're hearing her excellent vocals and unique way of singing, Angelina is a master at music structure her ability to show absolute recognition to a cover while she makes it her own is just unbelievable. Angelina writes her own music and produces it Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, and what is Life to name a few. Angelina's mother is Norwegian, and her father is from Sweeden. The " world-known artist'" grandmother (Mery Zamani) on her mother's side is from Iran, and her grandfather (recently deceased) is from Japan both grandparents are very involved with Angelina's growing up, and Angelina's song a million miles is about losing her grandfather and her original cut Shield is about the people that protected her and watched over her during her performances and travels. Although Angelina didn't win AGT champions 2020 she was signed to Republic record label and is producing new music 7th Heaven, Million Miles, and Save the world she's on her way, after school, to a world market that I'm sure she'll dominate.

She wrote this for herself coping with the loss of her second grandfather. You can feel this song is very personal for her. She also said it is for people dealing with similar situations, situations like yours. This song is sad and beautiful at the same time. Crying is great way to deal with pain, loss and other misery: this song feeds and purges the soul. As long as you keep the memory of lost loved ones alive they are never really gone. After a while I hope your deep sadness will be somewhat balanced by they happy memories you have of your nana so that remembering her becomes not so sad.

Samantha your tears, while listening to Million Miles and thinking of your Nana are tears of Love and Healing. My mother fell in love with Angelinas sining when we discovered her in 2021. For Christmas we watch her Christmas concert live and then several times after that. In February of this Mom , very expectedly had a stroke a few days later, realizing she was at near end I say by her and played Angelina singing Always on my Mind and and then Million Miles. I played these because it was the only way I could tell her how I felt. She passed about an hour later. Words could never explain how grateful I am for Angelina helping through these tough times with her music, especially these two songs. I hope this can help you also. An Understanding Fan Here is Angelina's quote about the release of Million Miles. "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. She lost her Gandpa, Grandma Meri Zamani's husband. Grand parents on Angelina's Mom's side of the family. There are 3 different videos to accompany this song. Look for the one that Angelina made herself. Her sister Juliette is in it as Angelina when she was little. This one is the studio version. Her version is amazing and very personal. She sang about the loss of her Grandpa soon after he passed and you wonder how she did this song without crying, she had a hard time with it then. Her grand parents are middle eastern. Her first languages were Norweigan and Farsi, Engish was #3, Japanese is four. Her Grandma Meri was responsible for her very early exposure to music, namely Jazz. Angelina sang at 1 1/2, wanted to perform on Norways Got Talent at 5 but had to wait until 7, as that is their minimum age. She won that and each performance went viral on KZbin. Grandma Meri is an accomplished artist in her own rite. I do believe, and have for sometime, that we are watching the career of the finest female singer to ever live.

Samantha, that was very courageous of you to let yourself cry on camera and share it with us. I feel your Nana would be proud. I have a suggestion about this song that should help you . . . In private, listen to Million Miles a few times and let yourself cry without holding back for as long as there is crying left in you. Willingly feeling your grief fully that way can help you let it go so that you are not carrying it around with you every day. It will be like a weight has been lifted and you will feel lighter. I didn't know your Nana, but isn't that what she would want? That is the gift that Angelina is offering to the world through this song.

Samantha, I'm so sorry for your pain and what you have been through for the past year. I lost both of my parents over the past 15 to 20 years and it seems like it's yesterday. But over time it does get a little easier. Don't worry about the tears. I've heard this song a hundred times and it brings a tear every time. I think what this song does is it brings out the humanity in all of us. We all grieve when we lose somebody close and Angelina has brilliantly and artistically shared through her music a universal theme. It is said that Angelina had to hold back from breaking down during the recording but that she did hold it together. The song struck me as sad initially but it is really a song of Hope. It was her first original song with Republic records and in many ways is genius. Fans and reactors alike have always said how Angelina has the unique ability to elicit emotion and to make us feel what she is feeling. I don't think we need any more evidence than this. Peace and love.

Sorry about your loss Samantha, it was a very heartfelt reaction. I can only imagine what it must have been like for Angelina to compose and sing it, after all she’s only 15, there are so many things she has yet to experience in life, I think her song she wrote “what is life “ says it all the last lines of the song are “ life is beautiful the good and the bad” in fact all the songs she has written have meaning and / or hope. She is a very wise young lady, I’ve only know of one song where she let her emotion take over, “ always on my mind “ it was soon after her beloved grandpa had passed. Just remember your never alone, the love they have for you is and always will be there.

What's remarkable Samantha, is that Angelina wrote the song not only for her grandpa but for everyone else who may have experienced a similar situation and she hopes people can get comfort from her words. I know you are overwhelmed now with emotions running every which way and that was to be expected. Hi Samantha. Thank you for your sweet, honest, raw reaction & comments. (Now you can go listen to it & cry & finally morn let go & remember in your heart for always.) Angie can give healing to those who need it. & May God our heaven father comfort you in this time. Angie started writing this song shortly after her 2nd grandpa died in Nov. 2019, during the filming of the finals, semi finals (or just right after) of AGT-C, she was 13. Angie started to write this shortly after his death & recorded it in 2020 at 14, ( her 1st grandpa died in 2018). Republic Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman heard her singing this song & personally chased her down to sign her to the label for he wanted to sign her ASAP, & they did finally at the end on Aug. 2020. Angie did some & her grandma Mery did most of the art for the (official lyric video where she said " the tears just poured out of her during her recording of the lyric video) here's the links to it & react to it also for she never sings a song the same way twice kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJmug5trj9mojc0 Angelina said, “This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine”. Stargate producer singer/songwriter Dakota posted on her Instagram regarding the collaboration with Angie, said “This girls talent is freakin insane.” In People Magazine article (2-4-21) Angelina said, “I love being creative, and I actually sketched the scenes of the music video, which is really cool. The scenes are about memories I had, and going back to flashbacks. I think that the simplicity of the music video makes it really beautiful because it lets the music talk instead” (Official Music Video) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnKUkHaLlrJoaKs

Angelina gives us the wherewith all to deal with such a heartbreaking subject as she surely has done for her own grandfather. Your crying on camera most assuredly helped someone, after all there was a warning. Thumbs up Samantha for a very heartfelt and special reaction, condolences dear lady.

Samantha...wow. Big hugs to you. Loss is so difficult and universal. Both my parents a couple years ago and the first time I heard this wonderful song from Angelina my reaction was the same, a flood of tears. Her talents now extending beyond that incredible voice to gifted song writing as well. There's no limits for her it seems. Can't wait for her album drop! Oh, given your reaction here, be prepared if you ever check out her Million Miles video with Juliette standing in for the young Angelina. Open the floodgates again. Take care Samantha!

Definitely a wonderful recommendation Daniel. In addition to seeing sweet Juliette, you can catch a glimpse of Angelina’s Uncle Michael (Sarah’s brother and Angelina’s brilliant manager). Watch this on your own Samantha, and become absorbed in this visual tribute to Angelina’s Grandpa.

I'm so moved by your words and feelings. My mother passed during the height of COVID, and this song continues to help me when I grieve for her. It also helps us grieve with you and other reactors who have lost friends or family. While you've listened to one of the 3 releases of "Million Miles", consider reacting to or just watching them for yourself. Angelina began writing about her feelings and experiences, or life stories, even before she wrote her book at 9 years old. Angelina's grandfather was the first person she had a familial relationship who passed. The nucleus of this event led to the writing of this song. She kept this song deep inside her until she signed with Republic Records in 2020. She turned down the labels most associated with America's Got Talent and even Disney. She chose RR because they had a shared vision. They gave her complete artistic freedom and let her choose when to release her other originals and covers under them. There are 3 different official releases of "Million Miles", this live studio version was released on KZbin on 18 Dec 2020. The studio version was also unique in that 14 year old Angelina appeared in black as opposed to her favored white or colorful ensembles. The first release of this song is a wonderful illustrated lyrical piece. Angelina and her grandmother, Meri Zamani, inspired its illustrations. Meri was herself, a child prodigy, but in the fields of poetry and art. Meri continues to be Angelina's mentor and Angelina's biggest fan. Meri has also helped film and produce some of Angelina's later music videos. Meri also designs Angelina's wardrobe, including the brilliant ensemble she wore when singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" on AGTC. Angelina recorded this in the studio while she wept over his absence. Be sure to watch this version as well. The music is the same but the artwork is quite moving. The official music video of "Million Miles" was released on 28 Jan 2021, just after Angelina turned 15. In this performance, Angelina has a costar, her little sister, Juliette. The 8 year old plays the part of a younger Angelina with their grandfather. The video is, of course, quite moving as well. Near the beginning, when Angelina walks down the hallway, the video pauses to show 2 pictures of her grandfather on the wall. It must have been a significant experience that both sister's shared as they grieved for their grandfather. Juliette has costarred in only one other music video, where she appears as a little sprite (6~7 y/o), dancing around/behind Angelina as she sang "Valerie". Once you've seen all 3 versions, jump on over to 13 year old Angelina singing "Valerie" on Venice Beach, CA. It's guaranteed to help lift your spirits and it's a cover you should see/hear/react to. If it doesn't help cheer you up, dinners on me when you're in my neck of the woods. I have watched a number of reactions to this by people, like yourself, who are still feeling loss of someone important to them. Indeed, Angelina dedicated this song to you and those still in the process of grief. Not crying, keeping a stiff upper lip, or other avoidance approaches just don’t work. Angie knows that and thankfully you do as well. My condolences on your loss.

The music video also adds some meaning to her words with the imagery that was created there with her little sister and her uncle portraying Angelina as a young girl and her grandfather respectively

I really appreciate you being in the moment and wearing your heart on your sleeve. I feel for you in your loss. Both of my parents passed away recently - Mom in March of 21 and Dad earlier this month. They both had very long lives, and that is a comfort to me, as is this beautiful song, and the words I'm Never Alone. Thanks for being so genuine.

From Angelina's official channel about this song: "... this song is dedicated to everyone, who lost a loved one. I wrote this song, thinking about all the great memories, I had with my Grandpa and how much it hurts, to lose someone. I hope, this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine."
