OMG I was shocked and overwhelmed. What was THAT? I knew neither the original singer Labrinth nor this song. I listened straight away. Was interesting but not my taste. Then I listened to Angelina's version again, I don't know how many times, her version blows my mind, WOW. This girl kills me, Angelina's courage, this self-confidence with this song to open her concert. Hi Adam. Danilo here. We've met. Remember? I was there in Kongsberg when she elegantly came in from backstage, reached the mike, kicked her shoes off (watch carefully the video, you'll see it. I was there,few yards away. I saw it. I'll swear it in court).,put the music sheets on the stand, a quick glance to see if her Troops were in position then she took the mike and threw her first Punch. Mount everest. Mohammed Ali wouldn't have had the same impact. I'm still dizzy. You mentioned voice control. Tell you what. Her register is 360 degrees. She floats through the spectrum, from high belt to "impossible" low notes effortlessly meanwhile adding colors and nuances to every single note, syllable, vowel she deems right for the song. You're right about her riffs and runs. Where's she going to go? Nobody knows, not even Angelina I think. She just "gets lost in the moment".

Great reaction, Adam! I was on her concert 3 days later, on July 10th. And I have to say that I've never enjoyed being punched in the face before. But Angelina changed all that. It was the most surprising and beautiful punch ever..LOL - So you went to see Aurora and Eivör, and I went to see Angelina. I win !!! Just kidding, Adam. Those 3 are my favorites, as I have told you before 🙂and I'm still a bit jealous. Now I absolutely can not wait for Angelina's upcoming album. What an opener! And totally surprising. Labrinth is kind of Soul/Rap... She rearranged it and filled it with Blues, while keeping the beat.. So new, that she still have to read the lyrics. Maybe this shows a part of a future Angelina. But she always is good for a surprise.

Yes, she changed parts of the lyrics, which also shows, that the chose this song not by accident. Before this "festival of love" as someone called her concert, there is the line "..so much love, that the wole thing feel like a lie..." What a reflected young woman she is!

Thanks for checking this one out, Adam! This one is just yet another example of Angelina giving us something completely unexpected. I think something that keeps me locked onto her year after year, is that you just never know what she is going to throw at you next. What song she is going to take on, or in what ways she is going to make it her own. It's this unpredictable element that makes me eagerly run to any new thing she drops. I've had lots of favorite artists over my many years, but I don't think any have held my attention for as long as this one has. ...and I don't see an end to that anywhere in sight.

Very nice reaction and analysis! I heard she opened each of her concerts in Norway with this song. Man, what a surprise! This song is part of the soundtrack for the award winning hit show called Euphoria starring Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. I think the next song you should check out from her was from a separate event she attended called Allsang på Grensen (Sing-along at the Border) is a Norwegian musical entertainment program that has been broadcast every summer on the TV 2 channel since 2007. I heard this was the last time they were going to have this event. She sang I have Nothing by Whitney Houston, and boy, what a difference from when she did it at an earlier age! Falsetto is a thinner sound and is strictly in the ‘head’ and only uses the thin, leading edges of the vocal folds to vibrate. Head voice can be defined as a ‘mix’ of chest and head voice, which is generally a stronger sound than falsetto. It's not easy to hear the difference...?

Great reaction Adam. Angelina likes to open her concerts with a strong song, this one literally taking us to new heights! Throughout the concert it quickly became obvious that she had level of confidence rarely seen before, her body language, moving to the music. Her interaction with the audience was intimate and emotional. How does she manage to wave to people in the audience yet keep song flowing so smoothly. I must admit that it's sort of contagious, I could not help myself, I just had to wave and of course she waved back. There are many more songs in these concerts that you should react to, it's just a matter of finding the best quality of audio and visual for each one - I'm sure that many suggestions will be coming your way!

This is how you make a cover. Angelina's version is so much better than the original. Angelina is capable of making the head voice sounds live with no help whatsoever while the original used a lot of auto tune to emulate the same sounds.

She's been doing some really impressive stuff lately (so, what else is new?), but the last performance of hers that totally *destroyed* me was her TikTok of (the first half of) Adele's "Love Is a Game", from last December. (It's easy enough to find on TT and can be viewed there without registering, but I assume you'll use one of the fan reuploads here on YT.) I'll resist going on for paragraphs about why I think it's so great. Suffice it to say, it's simultaneously one of her most "understated" performances (at the beginning, at least) and one of her most… I don't even know what word to use… "ballsy"?
