Her guitar player is very good and doesn't look the part at all. Listen as he goes along with her a perfect compliment to her singing. He is very much her accompanist. She sang at this festival from about 8-12 then she moved to California she had school and then the covid hit us so this is the last one she will perform at because this is the last year of this event. Which is sad because Angelina had at 6-8 watershed performances during this time. Still we have this whole concert and many different evenings during this time in Norway. Angelina's power has stabilized she is capping of the high strain type notes, which she covers now and it sounds like the note is not breaking out of it's boundaries. Now she covers them and gives them a little vibrato finish which always makes you sound like you're in charge.

First she did a couple songs at a festival( end of June)Then she did 3 full concerts just for her. July 1(17 songs) July 7(15 songs) July 10(18 songs) . Seems like she absolutely loved being on stage back in her element. This was from July 7 but she also sang this song July 10.

July 7 was an appearance at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival. I'm pretty sure she only did a handful of songs there (specifically, five?). According to the program notes (available online) she was the third of three acts to perform at that particular venue that evening (at Kirketorget [Church Square], starting at 7pm [the time the first act was scheduled to begin]). Just happened to be the most expensive tickets among that day's events, BTW… (Oh, and just to clarify: June 22 was for the TV show _Allsang på Grensen_ [broadcast the next day]. That's a weekly series of televised "concerts", I suppose you could say, but not really a "festival".🙂)

Tonight I happen to come across a video of her doing a concert when she was 8 years old... the set was crazy, and 8 years ago, she was singing just as "RELAXED" as this one. We are so lucky to follow this every step along the way. God...I hope to get to see her sing for many more years. As usual you were spot on with you review. Please when you get a chance check out Angelina's sisters at Republics Records "The Warning" rock band from Monterey Mexico. They are 3 sister who have been doing also like Angelina for 10 year ages 22,21 and 17 (They have a Metallica cover on their Black Album) on tour now, opening for Halstron and the Pretty Reckless.

Great reaction, great performance by Angelina. This is my favourite live piece of her, showcasing what she is really able to do. Apply her Jazz & Blues skills (rhythm, tone) to a good song, that in its original would not have impressed me. For me, this is Angelina at her best, as you say, tacking a stripped back song with delicious Jazz musicians, and turning it into an Amy Winehouse style performance. Better than Amy.... Jesse, fantastic review as usual. Musicians are guys she has worked with on and off since she was young. They are based in Norway and doubt that she and the band had a lot of practice time since she's living in the US and just flew back to Norway to do these concerts. Kind of can tell since they are often referring to the music on their ipads. Regardless, thought the band was very solid and she seemed very comfortable and confident in them. If she does start touring would like to see her take these guys with her.
