If a nurse or other medical professional refuses to abide by well established medical procedures (we all know she's talking about vaccination), they SHOULD lose their job. I would not trust them to properly treat me or anyone I even remotely care about.

Personally I wouldn't be such an ass that I would automatically say a nurse who hasn't had a certain vaccination should lose their job. My life was ruined at the age of 17 when I had a flu vaccine and it caused autoimmune issues which make my life a pain and exhaustion filled hell. I do not want to risk another reaction that might me so sick I can't get out of bed at all anymore. I would understand if a nurse also had autoimmune issues due to vaccinations and didn't want to, say, have a yearly flu shot.

If something is not for me it's not for "everyone", I am someone, so it might be for *"everyone else"* but not for everyone. And disagreements are not hate. I love your videos. As an experienced HR professional, I have some thoughts. 1. Work expenses that the employer doesn't pay for, like non-slip shoes, licenses, and uniforms, are tax deductible. The reason employers don't pay for them is because you can take them with you when you leave. 2. Student loan debt - if you have federal loans when you die and no one cosigned, those loans DIE WITH YOU. Navient or the DoE can't come after your family for them. 3. Why aren't they worried about living wages overall instead of pimping their pyramid scheme? 4. In one's lifetime, if someone has a college degree, they'll earn on average $2.8 million versus $1.2 million with just a HS diploma. Even with the debt, the income potential is real. I'd love to talk about the HR/legal implications of MLMs if you'd enjoy that! Great content as usual!

I hated when they talked about receiving criticism/hate as a good thing (without hearing the validity of those criticisms), because they are indirectly sending their subordinates to receive that same level of hate, and it is a dangerous thing for those who are in difficult situations. We are talking about people who already have a complex economic situation, who through these "sales tactics" are increasingly isolated from all the people to whom they want to sell their "products", and they were also sending them to the line of fire like it's a good thing?

In my medium cost of living city, nurses get paid starting at almost $50k to work day shifts for 36hr/week. And you can be a nurse with only a bachelor's degree. I don't think any of that is a scam! I know dozens of nurses and none of them work a second job. You can get $10k starting bonuses right now as a nurse! Plus, like, I have to dress in business wear for my job and don't get paid for that, so why would nurses not have to pay for the clothes they wear at their job? All of those expenses are normal and not a scam.

Hannah Alonzo (another anti-mlm channel I love watching) often just shows the income statements immediately debunking any "you can make it big" fairytale.. Also finding Tony Robinson inspirational sounds extremely worrying and both munecat and "cruel world happy mind" have made some great videos on these toxic self-help gurus. Joshua Fluke is doing some excellent work on toxic company culture that (to me as an European) seems to partially explain why so many people hate their 9 to 5 which is another interesting synaptic in the mlm pitches. With the non-slip shoes, it’s not even a matter of breaking even. Because if you work for a restaurant and they require non-slip shoes, you don’t buy the shoes *from that restaurant.* Some work places provide you with stuff and make take some money out of your paycheck to cover that. Some don’t. But no normal workplace has you buy necessary products from them. Some warehouses and stuff have a canteen, but you’re also able to bring your own lunch and stuff. MLMs are the only places that require you to buy product from them. That’s not some shoes from Walmart. That is product from the company you “work for.” Big difference.

The product is called ketones and it basically puts you into ketoses (supposedly) without having to go on to the keto diet. They’re tag line is “drink vs diet.” It’s worth noting that no one who drinks ketones and gets results like weight loss and more energy does it without changing their eating habits and they all go To the gym or start an exercise program as well. It’s like this happy happy club you join and everyone’s best friends who happen to drink this drink that has changed their lives! Lol it’s crazy…I have drank the drink and I admit the ones with caffeine give me energy and I like that but other than that I think it’s a pretty good scam. Mainly a scam because it is really expensive… and the benefits don’t add up with the cost.

For all the issues with higher education affordability, a college graduate is way more likely to (at least) break even than an MLM person

The idea of getting all mad about doctors or nurses buying a stethoscope is hilarious. Talk to anyone in that field. You buy your own for a good damn reason. It isn't because of some random, crazy hospital not wanting to provide them. You buy one because you need to find the best one for you, because they are damn sure not a "one-size-fits-all" type of thing

48:00 - "...I haven't watched a minute of their videos." "Shouldn't you be watching our videos to know what our arguments are...?" Me: YES! As if they would ever do their research.

Strange world that assumes everyone on social media is plugging brands. I have never (knowingly) shared anything that is also saleable to others. I have posted a couple of bargain hails from thrift stores, but hardly replicatable.

Ah, @16:15 I'm calling BS!! 80 dollars for no-slip shoes what, 20 years ago? My work boots now cost 160 and last three years. Oh, BTW, am I listening to a pro-mlm call or a Flat Earth video, because it sounds the same to me.

The problem with people is that we can be very manipulative without knowing it.

The marketing of MLMs is focusing on getting more consultants and a making a portion of your income. The difference is are you focusing selling product or are you more focused on trying to get more consultants so that they help you with earning more money? BIG DIFFERENCE!!

Re: echo chambers and blinders. Sounds like the Mormons, they’re specifically instructed not to read or listen to critiques of the religion, and Utah is one, if not the, states with the most MLM headquarters and members.

1. It’s just funny how Colleen looks more and more like she regrets doing this bc JLW won’t shut up lol 2. I could not imagine making my job, even if I loved it and loved all my coworkers, my whole identity 3. “Dr” JLW doesn’t even know the basics of psychology, like citing sources and journals? 4. Hey JLW, is this an interview or a team training you’re doing on live? Seriously, I can’t get over how she kept talking over Colleen 5. I love love love how she referred to nurses and teachers as the people who ACTUALLY make an impact. But... I thought... these guys made the impact on people? So which is it?

She was successful in an MLM because she’s a narcissist. The best leaders are those who don’t want that leadership. The quiet lady??? What’s up with her? Also, in Europe we have free education founded by the state, and public pensions and healthcare (in my country they are trying to privatise it, but we still have it). This is the answer for better working conditions (since you have the basics covered, you can choose and refuse shitty jobs, and companies are forced to make the conditions better): welfare state and socialism

I really feel like this IG Live wasn't about a collaboration between two pro-MLMers, but about BossLee wanting a "yes ma'am" that happens to have a following listen to her in front of Lee's following. It's pretty pathetic to watch. And I'm not super familiar with either of their individual work (by choice) only heard of them via reputation.
@theantibot2 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree with that! Bosslee did like 95% of the talking, while NSSG sat and said “yup” to everything.

If you work a real job for "only" two weeks you're going to get a PAYCHECK. Work an MLM for only 2 weeks and you're going to be out money

Just gonna say... When i started working at Burger King in 1997ish Min wedge in Cali was 4.25 an hour. So her making 3.75 us aligned with what the min was in the country at the time.

Some of the products are great! And really there is no different than sharing a link from Amazon. Why is it ok that Amazon can sell you; but not buy products from your friend… it’s so dumb to poop on people who love their products.

I just looked up the average pay for nurses. In PA where I live, your first two years, your average is $42/hr and goes over $50 within 10 years. I think paying $250 every so often is a drop in the bucket

As an affiliate marketer - I drop links to products I actually use and find valuable. My audience would run away if I promoted products that weren't valuable to my audience.

i feel like this sometimes lets the original people go on too long before interjecting, like their points mostly aren't particularly good or coherent but i wind up spending a lot of time getting my blood angried up before any counterpoints are made, and it feels like some of the original speakers' more repetitive shit could be cut out without losing the thread of the argument
@amandamandamands2 жыл бұрын
I think they kept the whole thing in because one of the comments in the video was that people critiquing them just take snippets and when people are watching the whole they form a different opinion. Taylor and Drew watched the whole thing so that argument was voided.
