My theory is: artemis was torn into 5 pieces and each one represents a member. Each body part was turned into a seed and they were born from it. Artemis then watched over them in her non physical form but it seems like she left them or maybe jinsoul, kim lip and heejin wanted to explore the world to only then be sent back by artemis. Hence why jinsoul and Heejin are crying, they wanted to take all of them to the outside world. Only to be sent back to the scary house

yes! just adding some things that i thunk here: Haseul is the oldest and most devoted for Artemis, thats why she keeps waiting at the house, but in the end she decides to leave with the others Choerry probably was the last to sprout between them Jinsoul maybe was the most conected to Artemis, thats why there is a scene with her and also why she cries when she realizes that her "mother" is no longer with her
