Also what do you think happened to Bill Murray for this film, as he was one of the first to announce Asteroid City as being the next project. Do you think Bill will still be in this picture?

there was an article saying that he dropped out due to having covid and was replaced by steve carrell, but i remember that when he was doing press for french dispatch he was on set of asteroid city, so i thought that was very strange. of course these movies don’t have the biggest budget so i understand if they can’t put off production for a week or two, but recasting and bringing steve carrell to spain and all the hassle of that seems more time consuming. murray has had some misconduct allegations in the past couple years so it’s very possible he was let go from the project because of that.

Judging from the trailer the 5 junior stargazers are very disappointed in how Asteriod Day turns out. Ethan Lee makes a jetpack and Aristou Meehan made a lasergun. I wonder what Grace Edwards, Sophia Lillis and Woodrow (Jake Ryan) made? He played Lionel in Moonrise Kingdom BTW...!

yes lionel!!! i love when he uses younger actors from older films, of course the og being jason schwartzman, and more recently with some of the moonrise actors i do wish he used some of the people from rushmore and royal tenenbaums more as i think they were all excellent
