ATEEZ signed with KQ, a very small company at the time. You could tell in their very early songs that the budget was limited. But, thanks to the success of ATEEZ, the company became very profitable quickly. The newest male group is Xikers (zikers) and they shot out of the gate fast and have achieved early success. Their song "Tricky House" is a great song and so much fun to watch. ATEEZ helped produce the song. Their song and MV is one of the few that i have seen with the blue flames representing Doekkaebi - Korean Goblins. They are mythical creatures that play tricks on humans. They posess extraordinary powers. See " Thunderous" by Stray Kids.
@MicheleDoenges Жыл бұрын
KQ wasn't accepting trainees when Hongjoong (the rapper you like at the beginning of Wonderland) sent them a mixtape of his work and a letter explaining his ambitions and requesting a chance. They were so taken by him that they held auditions to build a group around him, with him as their leader (they call him "Captain" because they are pirate-themed). They believed in ATEEZ's talent and ambition so strongly that they willingly put themselves millions of dollars in debt to debut them, and in the almost 5 years since their debut, they've been making serious waves in the K-pop scene. They've more than made up for KQ's debt, and now they have a little brother group called Xikers. Xikers couldn't be more different as a group, but they have qualities musically and as people that make it clear that they're from KQ, and it's been a total blast watching KQ develop their own sound as a company. The more you get into K-pop, the more you'll notice that groups from the same companies are all very different, but carry a similar sound. Can't wait to see who or what you react to next!

Some names of the guys you seemed to notice if you want them: Jonhgo - the powerhouse vocals. He's also the youngest member. Hongjoong - leader of the group and music producer. He's the tiny rapper and he started out the Wonderland mv. Yeosang - deep vocals. He was dragging the chains in Halazia. Mingi - the other rapper. Orange hair in Halazia. I find trying to learn all of them at once with large groups like this gets confusing.

Guerrila is an English word coined during WW2. It is typically used as guerrila warfare, which refers to small, hidden groups attacking in ways that help disable or take out armies 1 by 1 while staying hidden. So they are saying in this song that they will be going to war but not by leading a giant army, by going in themselves and slowly but surely taking out the enemy. Ateez have a huge storyline and lore that can be very difficult to understand as they only really give us bits and pieces and we piece it together and guess. But ultimately, for everything from The World: album series they are rebels in a dystopian universe where the government controls the population by brainwashing out human emotion. They are rebelling against this government and trying to restore emotion to the people and take back control.

This is what you need to know about Ateez (pronounced like Eh tease, or like A to Z) most of their songs are part of a huge fictional storyline that runs though all their Albums and is kind of like an Anime. Each of their albums is labeled with a Chapter name and an episode name and number. There are also a ton of extra story videos and written storybook things included in their albums that fill in the gaps of the story that wasn’t covered in the lyrics and music videos. The music videos also have extended scenes at the end (like a marvel movie) that are story related but also give hints to future songs. The story is complicated, but to summarize: Ateez are a crew of pirates 🏴☠️ that were gifted a magic hourglass ⏳ that allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. While on their journeys they search for treasure, have adventures, and fight against these bad guys that have no faces. Sometimes they do this with the help of Halateez, which are the Ateez members doppelgängers from a different dimension. In the current chapter, of which we have 2 episodes and a spinoff, Ateez has entered a dystopian world where the government has brainwashed emotion out of the people to more easily control them. Ateez has set up a resistance movement to bring the corrupt government down and restore emotion to the people. All the while the government is hunting for the Ateez members to destroy them. We also learned in the Bouncy video when Hongjoong (their captain) shot the bullet and blew up that government building that the guys with no faces were in the building and presumably part of the government that Ateez is trying to take down.
@noriyhan6562 Жыл бұрын
Let me help you abit...the guys with no faces they are called Android Guardian aka Masked Man(1st introduced in Answer mv) ...they tried to hunt down Ateez and Halateez...Halateez came frm Z Dimensions(Strictland) where the govt control human emotions thru Prestige Academy. As for the song Halazia....the word came frm their 1st comeback song HALA HALA( Hearts Awaken Live Alive) Zia means light. HALA HALA mv is when they introduced their doppelgangers they are called Blackpirates but Atinys love to call them Halateez. You shld watched Say My Name and Hala Hala ( both songs are their 1st Comeback)

You are precious! Welcome to ATEEZ! ATEEZ (pronounced like A to Z or A-Tease) are super diverse with their music. They take inspiration from music from all around the world then make their own. Usually putting a very hip hop/rock/edm centric spin on it. The one with the low voice in Halazia that you like..that’s Yeosang. Halazia was the first song they featured his bass tone. He has an incredible range from a low tenor to that bass. And the one hitting all those high notes? That’s Jongho. He’s the main vocalist and the youngest of the group. If you want to check out a song where his vocal really shines, watch the cover of “Love Poem”. It’s from a show called Kingdom. It’s the three main vocalists from the groups BTOB, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ. I cry every single time I watch it. Halazia being one of your top of the 4 songs leads me to suggest the song Paradigm. Also another slow song, Turbulence. You’re going to love everything they have though. Their discography is literally no skip. Everything is a bop.

PLUS, they are great friends with Stray Kids and performed with them at the KINGDOM: Legendary Wars K-pop competition, so I love that, too. Also....to understand ATEEZ, you should know they have a whole "story" and "lore" they've been developing. Each song / album is an ongoing part of the story. One song leads to the next part, and that one leads to the next part of the story, etc. And their music videos have little bits at the end (similar to the Marvel movies) that gives a clue to the next part. So always watch all the way to the end.

The 1st video is about guerrilla war tactics, to use subversion to undermine the standing authority instead of head to head battles. A lot of ateez songs and underlying storyline have revolutionary themes in them. Part of why they also use the anarchy A as a group symbol sometimes They're another group that produces a lot of their own music. And at the end of their videos, they'll usually put a kind of teaser for their next title song
