Thank you so much for reacting to Ateez! Love your reaction so much! Friend - Ateez is one of THE BEST groups with one of the best discographies in KPOP. They have SO many good songs to choose from. If you could react to more of their title track MVs that would be great. Here's a list to choose from: Answer Inception Thanxx Say My Name Hala Hala Promise Wave Aurora Utopia Eternal Sunshine Treasure Pirate King They are also known in the industry as being monster performers with incredible stage presence and amazing dancing. Some of their best live stages includes these ones below (all of which you can look up on KZbin): +Symphony No. 9 From the Wonderland - this was a live stage they did for the competition show called Kingdom +The Real - also from the show Kingdom +Deja Vu & Eternal Sunshine Live Stages - from the recent SBS Super Concert in Daegu 5 days ago +MAMA 2019 Mashup - their first appearance on a major awards show as rookies +Mist - from their Fellowship Map the Treasure live concert in Seoul They also have great b-sides. You are going to LOVE Hongjoong when you actually get to know him better. He is an amazing songwriter and producer and a great leader to his team. I highly recommend going back and starting from their first MV's and watching in order of release: Pirate King Treasure Say My Name HALA HALA Promise (B-side; one of my faves) Illusion Wave Aurora (b-side; written/produced by Hongjoong) Utopia (b-side; another personal favorite) Wonderland (already watched) Answer Inception Thanxx Fireworks (already watched) Celebrate (b-side) Deja Vu (already watched) Eternal Sunshine Their discography is amazing and their b-sides don't disappoint. They have a lot of variety and reality content and there are several guides available to help you learn the members and their personalities better. They have assigned positions, but they are all insanely good dancers and performers, so there's no defined dance line. Jongho is the main vocal & the maknae/youngest (the one you kept guessing was the leader 😁). The "main" positions would rank slightly higher than the "lead" positions in terms of responsibility for more of the killing parts in either rap, dance or vocals, but again, for ATEEZ, they are all so good that their position titles are almost an afterthought.

thank you so much for reacting to ateez! there's 8 members but only 7 are in the fireworks mv because one of the rappers (mingi) was on hiatus due to anxiety issues (he was gone for 8 months). their overall concept is pirates and although they don't really stick to one sound only you can always tell it's an ateez song just by the way it sounds if that makes sense lol. they're a performance based group. they do have positions however every ateez member is a dancer. since they're performance based you can probably guess their live stages are insane so i strongly suggest you check out their kingdom, immortal songs and mama stages. they have insanely good vocal line (ateez vocal line is untouchable - a compilation of some iconic vocal moments) and a very unique rap line (some more rap based songs are the leaders and to the beat) there's a grat guide called a helpful guide to stanning ateez by ETINI if you want to get to know them more :)

Ah yes, Maknae Jongho, the leader of Ateez. I'm not so sure that would go so well (*cough cough* salarylupin) 😂 You will have absolutely no regrets getting into Ateez. After literally only 2 weeks of knowing them, Jongho became my second ult bias (Suga's not going anywhere), and Ateez became one of my ult groups along with BTS and Seventeen. Love at first sight seems to be a thing with Ateez. Usually I can't pick a bias in the first few MVs I watch and I tend to get wrecked a couple times within the first few weeks of knowing a group, but Ateez is the only group that that didn't happened with. Also, Hongjoong is literally the cutest, sweetest, most caring demonic (in a good way) leader-man I have ever known to exist. You seriously won't regret stanning. I always like to start with the debut song(s) when I get into a new group and work my way up to the present so that I can see how the group progresses over time and see how each mv connects to the next. Ateez has two debut songs, Pirate King and Treasure, which I'm sure you already got from other comments. And a guide would definitely be good. It's really up to you on what you want to do first, but since you already have had a "Who's That? moment," as I like to call it, I think a guide would be good to do sooner. You just want to make sure that you vibe with their music first cuz ultimately thats what its all about 💜

Honestly, while I'm relatively new to Ateez, Jongho does strike me as fulfilling a similar role as Gahyeon does in Dreamcatcher... desperately trying to salvage his group's professional reputation while the dorm burns down... 🙄 I agree with Lauren, though, he really doesn't strike me as a maknae; he gives off quite a bit of "old man" energy to me... and that's coming from a bloke with a few miles on the clock himself... 😜

@@Brickerbrack Very true, but the others have absolutely no respect for this man as partner of Ateez holdings in Salary Lupin 😂 (which is a 7 episode variety show where each member has a role in a company and Jongho earned the highest title of partner because he was the only one that actually knew how to tie a tie by himself. Would highly recommend the show, its really fun). Seeing as they all are pretty close in age, and he is the older brother in his immediate family, he definitely does have a more mature vibe. I am the oldest sibling in my immediate family too, and I am also the oldest cousin in my extended family. But, like I do in my friend group in college, he definitely also has his maknae moments (such as dancing strangely and without shame in public, thereby making a complete fool of himself on purpose). Anyway, cute soft maknae mode or big strong intimidating man mode, I love him either, any, and all ways. 😁 Also, I am actually only two days older than Jongho! Not sure how that is relevant, but I suppose we have a lot more in common as well😅

On their official website, Jongho is the only member with a title-main vocal (outside of Hongjoong--leader). (Jongho is arguably the best 4th gen vocalist. His range and power are incredible.) The others only have their generic line name: rap, vocal, performance. The members consider Yunho the main dancer because he learns choreo quickly and teaches them. Newbies think San (with the pink hair in Fireworks) is the main dancer because he's such a great performer. However, San wasn't originally part of the performance (dance) line and he's still listed only as "vocal" despite Hongjoong saying it'd be ridiculous not to consider him part of the performance line at this point. Typically, San's fancams have the most views for every performance. We consider him part of the demon line because it's like he gets posessed when the music comes on. San is also an excellent vocalist. Recently, he's sung parts traditionally reserved for the main vocal (chorus + ad libs) in DejaVu for example. The main/lead thing is a bit weird since they're synonymous in English. Groups can have more than one main vocalist. Pentagon began with 2 and now has three. NCT 127 has 4.

Thanks so much for your reaction! The Main Dancer is usually the member with the greatest dancing skills. The Main Dancer usually gets solo dancing parts. The Lead Dancer is usually the 2nd best dancer in the group. When the group dances together, he/she will often dance in the front. (from Kpop Profiles ^^) In my understanding, it's because the best dancer not always have the best leading skill in group dancing.

I think generally Main Dancer = the best dance, and lead dancer would be second best. I know that's how it works with The Boyz so I assume it's the same for other groups. That's an 11 member group that has member positions all over the place so I had to look it up because I was so confused why there was main vocalist, lead vocalist, vocalist...😂 I'm sure others have commented about Mingi missing from Fireworks MV due to his hiatus, but the Deja Vu MV could be confusing as well as Jongho (who you though was the leader) didn't participate in the choreo in the MV as he was recovering from injury, so the dance sections also looked like 7 there.

don't rely too much on profiles on google. The main dancers are Yunho, wooyoung and mingi. Originally they were the dance line. Yeosang is the lead dancer and san(the pink hair and crop top guy) is a performer. San is the most known for his performance bc of his dancing, stage presence and facial expressions, so that's why he's at the center most of times and why you thought he was the leader in deja vu. Overall, all of ateez are EXCEPTIONAL dancers, like i'm noy joking, their level is outstanding. They are known in kpop as Masters of Performances everywhere they go. Their live performances and stage presence is untouchable

I discovered kpop thru BTS..and for a long time I didn't want any other group.. Here I am with my useless Kpop knowledge! The “aaah” you were talking about is called an antidrop. Its when theres a huge build up but subverts the big release. Main dancers are usually the best or most versatile dancers. They take charge mainly of doing the center long dance periods in the song. Lead dancers are also talented dancers but not really the go-to person. However, many lead dancers known to be the most skilled in a certain type of dance and are usually given a center part during the dance break. Yeosang is a great example of this. Yunho and Wooyoung may be the main dancers, but Yeosang is the most skilled at break dancing. In their song Inception, Yeosang was given a center part for a short dance break.

His voice is so powerful and his high notes are insane. And i think that you might be a lil bit confused him and *Yunho* The main dancer (it's ok though, cause i've had the same issue too when i first saw them Lol 😁) There are 8 members of ATEEZ, but *Mingi* 10:02 (he's the main rapper with deep voice and also the main dancer) was on hiatus for anxiety so he's not in the Fireworks video. *Deja Vu* is his comeback ATEEZ debuted with a *"Pirate"* concept and they have their own story line, their songs and videos are link to each other.
