In some of Aurora's live performances, particularly the Nobel Peace Prize and Nidarosdomen, you can see in the expression on her face, at the end of a song, the instant she comes back from her own world into the present time. One of the things I find most amazing about Aurora is that she is simultaneously innocent, yet so wise and fragile, yet immensely strong.

YES! The live version at Nobel Peace Prize is so much more than the recording not that the album version is bad by any means.

Yea. It make a sense what you said. Of course her music is incredible and just take you somewhere else, to her world and emotions. But she is also very interesting and unique person. Her interview are very interesting too. Some funny, some informative, some wise and mix of these. In my opinion, she is very unconventional. She has some child elements preserved (like this joy to see beauty in small things), but wise and intelligent in the same time. She is funny with some quirks and has also interesting and cool sense of humor. She is very humble and "down to earth", very empathic and has interesting view on many things (also somewhat idealistic). She is also very free and honest. Does not fear to say what she thinks :). And also of course very talented and creative (with so many great songs :) ). And she cares about some topic. Sometimes it looks like her music is a extension of her and her personality. I would recommend next: - "Lucky" live from Nidarosdomen - "All is Soft inside" and Churchyard from KEXP 2018 But you can just pick other recommendations too as her to go wrong with her music :)

The video was filmed in the forest where she spent a lot of time when growing up. She wrote the song when she was 11-12 years old and at that time no-one(including her family) even knew she was writing music. Billie Eilish has stated that it was this song that made her wanting to write her own music. If you want more about Aurora I recommend you watch the Haik documentary.

Amazing! Did not know that!!

That's not quite correct, and both Billie Eilish and Aurora have commented on this error. Billie was already writing music with her brother, seeing this video made her decide to go forward with a musical carer, no matter how it turned out.

This is my first time seeing one of your reactions and I can fully say that I appreciate the way you do your reactions, you listened right the way through with no pauses and put your thoughts on text during the video and spoke your thoughts at the end, so many reactors nowadays pause like 15 times during a song and then do a review at the end just so they can make the video longer and it’s so annoying!! Great first impression of your reactions, keep it up!

Hi Sabina I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Aurora live 3 times and trust me you are about to go on a journey with a very special artist.honestly in all of my 66 years of loving music and watching scores of artists live in concerts some of course were great singers but seriously no one has come close and moved my emotions like Aurora. She has the ability to take you to the very place that she is seeing, you are there with her feeling every emotion that she feels, she calls her songs her little children and just like a mothers love you can visibly see the love she has for her songs,as soon as the music starts she’s in a different world it’s incredible to watch and I for one am blessed to have her music in my life, for me she’s the essence of what the art of music should be all about and I’ve said it a thousand times before but Aurora is more than special she simply is a Genius and the wonderful thing is that she doesn’t even realise and that’s what makes it Beautiful.❤️from the UK.

It makes total sense... btw, her interviews are also amazing. She is bright, witty, and very grounded. She is quirky in the things she shares about herself that is humorous. She is a kind soul and she always puts her fans [who she coined "warriors and weirdos"] first. Fame has not gone to her head like others. it's like you're talking to a good friend, in fact even on stage as well as off she will have back and forth conversations with the audience.

Your reaction was wonderful! You really picked up on so many of the beautiful qualities that help make "Aurora, Aurora". One of the most remarkable things about her is that she never intended to be a "professional singer and performer". She just really wanted to write. She started with making up melodies when she was 6 yrs. old. She went into the attic of her home and ran across an old electric piano. She started playing around with it but she could only use one hand because the other hand had to hold the "on button" pressed down or the piano would shut off. So Aurora taught herself how to play piano and hasn't had any music lessons and she never had any voice lessons either. She did take interpretive dance since she was 6yrs old though. She uses dance while she performs...thus the gracefulness when she moves around..Her expressive movements are all originated by Aurora while her whole being is in each song/performance. Sometimes you can see that she is actually "somewhere" else (not in a weird way) but in a special and unique way that does help "paint the story" Her whole being is on display during her performances and even when you are just listening to her you are transported to a calmer, peacful place. At least that is my reaction. I always feel centered after listening to her. She is pure magic. When she was "discovered" somebody taped her singing a song when she was in high school and she was approached by a talent agency or something in that order and the 2nd time she was approached by record produces. She gave them a firm "no"..... Her mother talked to her and said something like "Why don't you share your music Aurora? It could help some people. She also said something like, "if you don't like it you can quit." So off Aurora went. Her interviews are a "trip" she is blunt, funny, very imaginative..she sees things differently...She is totally engaged during the interview, yet she is totally aware of all around her. She is in a class by herself. There really is no one like her. Her music is really varied. She writes some fun like "No cure for me" Great Video. "All Soft Inside" Kind of sounds like a rock song.. I take it like a Kaleidescape. It's a mini concert with som othet great songs to listen to as well. This is done at KEXP Iceland. She does sing some songs a capella to prove that she is singing without having to have her voice given help by anybody to sound great in recordings. I have read that Aurora has already written over 1000 poems and/or songs. She carries a notebook or journal with her all the time so that she jot things down as it comes to her... Her journey will forever change you. "Thru the Eyes of a Child" concert at a beautiful Cathedral, in the most northern part of Norway. Keep up the awesome work with Aurora. She is a true treasure. She writes music, lyrics, choreography, involved in the performances and as well as the instrumentation of songs on stage, recording..music videos (which most are works of art).

I’m continually drawn into her world when she performs and then I realize that her world is this physical world that we share. She’s phenomenal! Your presentation of this video was perfection. I’m subscribing.

Hei på deg, Sabina 🙂 Great reaction! I am so happy that you are on her tail 🙂 I believe this was your third reaction to her ? I just saw her in concert here in Norway last Sunday, and it was incredibly beautiful. I also love that fact that you are reacting to both of my favorite artists, being Angelina and Aurora. (I know they're both Norwegian, but I swear to higher powers that I'm NOT biased! LOL ) I would like to take the opportunity to suggest my favorite performance by her, one that will forever hold a special place in my heart. And if I have learned to know you correctly, it should be right up your alley so to speak. The performance was part of a concert she held in Nidarosdomen here in Norway. Nidarosdomen is our oldest and most beautiful cathedral and dates back to the 11th century, right after the viking era. The whole concert is just incredibly beautiful. I will also let you know that the entire concert can be found here on KZbin, and that a lot of reactors have reacted to the whole thing. And none of them have regretted it, I can tell you that much. However, the performance I'm talking about is her performance of her song "Through The Eyes Of A Child". It is really special. I will give you the link to it here and cross my fingers that I have triggered your curiosity enough that you want to give it a go 🙂 Link : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJSqaq2Kr9icqac Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥ Og god jul hvis jeg ikke ser deg før 🙂 Merry Christmas !

I'm so glad that you have discovered Aurora and that you got to see her live! She really is in a category all by herself. Most of her music videos are mini masterpieces - I would suggest The Seed, The River, Queendom, Winterbird and Running With the Wolves just to name a few. Her live performances are incredible (as you experienced first hand). I'd suggest anything from the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, the Nidarosdomen Concert, the KEXP mini Concert and the Haik Documentary concert. She also does some amazing covers such as David Bowie's "Life on Mars", Arianna Grande's "God is a Woman', Massive Attack's "Teardrop" and (this is an interesting one) Boney M's "Rasputin". I'm really looking forward to following you on your Aurora journey. Definitely watch some of her interviews - and the Haik Documentary which is long, but well worth it. I'm already a subscriber and I'd subscribe again if I could just for Aurora. 😀

LOve your reaction Sabina. And yes, Aurora is something else, lyrics, voice, melody, arrangement, they all come together quite different from the mainstream popular music. One other thing is that she performs each song a bit different every time she does it, be it tempo or arrangement. You can find same song on YT pure acapella, with just two voices and an instrument, with her band, or her band and choir and strings, or with a full philharmonic orchestra.

Aurora is my favorite artist next to Angelina Jordan. And both are from Norway! With both you can listen and see anything and won´t be disappointed. If you would to know more about Aurora I would recommend the HAIK documentary or something shorter the clip "Nothing is Eternal", where you can feel the "otherwordlyness" she oozes out. But any interview with her is interesting, as she is a a very funny person as well :)

Cheers, stay well and Happy Holiday season.

if you watch her interviews you will know very soon into them her level of power. Her ability to handel interviewers is comical to say the least, she is so smart they don't have a chance. She made the comment to one that if she reads or see's something its there forever (photografic or idelic memory.) To me this is why they can give her a song like Rasputin that she doesn't know and 1 hr. later she covers it , and wins the bet with the P3 crew.

Hun har sagt i andre intervjuer at hun ble inspirert av Aurora da hun var ca 12 år og så Runaway musikkvideoen👍💕 Kan du reagere på: "All Is Soft Inside" live at KEXP Iceland 2018 “Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen (katedral i Norge) 2017 “The Seed” official video En sterk sang og musikkvideo “a cry for Mother Earth 🌍❤️

Hi Sabi, I've been a sub for since around the start of your Dimash journey. From your past reactions, Lara Fabian particularly comes to mind :) you need to spend more time on Aurora, start with her live performances, where you get to see how she integrates her whole self in every song she delivers, I would strongly recommend Murder Song from the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in 2015. Or you could try Through the Eyes of A Child from the Nidarosdomen or Lucky from the same concert. You might want to get a quick sense of the lyrics as her songs are from just a form of entertainment. To some of us her music contains and extremely powerful healing component

Can't believe it's only the 3rd song of hers you react to :) This one is basically her breakout song, you should frame the experience by watching one of her newest song. I think watching one of those after watching this one would give you a perspective of her development.

Nice job Sabina, artists like her do not come around very often. As for getting to know her, check this one out for starters...she has a little tea party and talks about stuff. It is very interesting seeing how her mind works. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jn22mJqCbplgaqs&ab_channel=Kenzo

Aurora er simpelthen fantastisk. Hun rammer mig i hjertet hver gang.

Beautiful graphics and scenery and Aurora's unique voice/appearance/mannerisms are enchanting but-for me-her voice alone is not particularly impressive. I MUCH prefer Daneliya Tuleshova's rendition of this song! Her voice is-I believe- much more full, robust and impressive. Aurora is more of a "niche" singer while Daneliya's is much more rounded and versatile, IMO. Thanks Sabina, you are among my favourite reactionists!

You really need to do a react to her Nidorasdomen live performance, especially her songs "lucky" and "Through the eyes of a child". They are purely stated; soul wrecking and rebuilding experiences. Also her video for "the seed" and the live performance of "murder song 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" from the nobel prize concert. These together will put you through an emotional wringer and have you come out clean and pure on the other side. They are masterpieces.
