I feel privileged that I got to watch the uncut version on Patreon. You did your best with the edit Fern, I hope some day youtube will finally figure their stuff out with copyright. It's always sad to me to see how creators who work really hard to produce a fair use video get their hard work blocked and demonetized by automatic procedures. I just wanted to let you know as a little side note, that Bjork not only produced and wrote all these songs almost completely by herself, she actually composed all the string arrangements for this album herself too! This is my 2nd favorite album from her after Vespertine. She's so amazing.

Thank you so much ! Your support means so much 💕💕 I hope so too ! Things like that really make me feel a bit heavy but I love doing these vids so much ! That is truly incredible , musical genius . Walking breathing ART ! Can’t wait to do more . ( if KZbin allows it ) 🥰

Black Lake is like a punch to the gut. Bjork had occasionally done the odd melancholy song, but generally, she always sings about hope and joy. When I heard it, it was like bumping into an old friend I hadn't seen for years and finding out they were broken.
@Harpotos Жыл бұрын
yeah, that's a great way to put it. even songs like 'So Broken' & 'Hope' have a lightness to them. She has a beautiful balance always, though. songs like 'Unravel' also have sadness, but there's very clear optimism. I see the same kind of beauty in Vulnicura, to me it's more like a healing album than a breakup album, it shows the griefs that all go through when love is lost & the recovery. Björk has possibly the most beautiful & interesting way of singing about love that I've ever heard, 'All Neon Like' portrays love as patience, care, and boundaries as opposed to desire and limerance. She's an amazing singer, artist, & poet.

How MONUMENTAL this album is. Every single time I hear anything from Bjork my brain just can't accept how is she an actual human being. One of my favorite albums of her, and it was very pleasant to watch you enjoy it. Take my heart 👐🏼♥️

it is beautiful to be able to listen to music with someone who is also so enthusiastic about art - we re not together, but it is like we were discussing our interpretations while listening (sorry for any mistakes, english is not my native language)

i recommend you “Have You in My Wilderness” by Julia Holter, very Perfume Genius ish (kind of grandiose story and aesthetic). i think you would love it

"Family" is not a song. It's an experience, you can feel that song's atmosphere in your skin, your flesh. In my humble opinion Björk had so many masterpieces in her career. But in 2010's "Family" is her magnum opus. Btw the producer of this song is Haxan Cloak which is an amazing musician too. I think their chemistry with Björk is much better than Arca's. Anyway as I said incredible piece of art. Your expressions are spot on too.

Björk and Aurora are fans of each other and they have clearly influenced each other, Vulnicura and Wisdom Cries are an example of that. Björk was a very impressed spectator during Aurora's Kepx concert, it is a pity that there is no video recording of the meeting they had after the concert . Thank you for the reaction you have made of two very special artists
@Julian.Romero132 жыл бұрын
WHAT? How do you know that? I knew AURORA likes Bjork style but Bjork to AURORA? I never thought she actually knew her If Bjork actually was in KEPX spectating, but there´s no recording, how do you know?

@dariorodrigues53963 жыл бұрын
I loved it! Lionsong, black lake and stonemilker are the best of this album, so beautiful. As you go down in bjorks discography it gets easier to listen to from beginning to end. Utopia, vulnicura, biophilia and maybe medulla are the heaviest works. Cannot wait for you to react to homogenic, post and vespertine, they are ART.
@nodezsh2 жыл бұрын
Homogenic is very special. Such a specific and beautiful sound does not appear very often. You might say Vespertine also has an beautiful sound, but it is not as abstract as Homogenic's is. I know perfectly well she will like it because she liked LP1, which has a similar thing going on; a specific, abstract, beautiful and extremely rare sound language. I wonder what she'll see though.
