Re: CGI, SETS, PROPS AND HOW LONG TO FILM MUSIC VIDEOS... The giant bear trap was a large prop, just probably not made of pointy metal for safety reasons, likely a softer material. You can see it in the making of videos they have for each music video. B.P.M (Born Pink Memories = current world tour videos) have a bit of behind MVs in earlier episodes about making of album.Actual filming of an MV takes them usually 3 to 5 long days, but planning, set builds and props probably adds lots of preproduction time. Someone had to think up & design a bunch of fake cereal boxes related to love/romance for Rapper Lisa cereal heaven scene, someone had to bedazzle that tank for DDDD & SD. They also have to get all those designer clothes which they sometimes modify noticeably to create a new outfit look. Aside from debut song Whistle, they don't really use green/blue screen. They sometimes use projection screen or giant LED screens for a few backdrops like KTL Jennie sunset (giant swans are real props)), subway trains in AIIYL, etc. CGI is very minimal: Jennie eye color change in DDDD is cgi, globe Rosé sits in Whistle & Shut Down. I'm pretty sure the fire on the tattered umbrellas for Jisoo was added cgi because safety and possibly having to do more than one take. Actual pyrotechnic fire bars on pier in Lisa scene in PWF (redone with rain/ water at Lisa request for SD). But yeah the ast majority of what you see is practical effects and old school moviemaking techniques with modern gear (crazy gimble rotating chair cam for Rosé in HYLT making of). I highly recommend you watch the making of videos for all theur MVs to see behind the scenes on set. You can also see how some sets of their mv were interconnected on the sound stage, 2 examples off top of my head: check out KTL and Boombayah and carefully notice where one set connects to another at the edges.

'How You Like That' was one of several songs that BP has dropped that are basically a collection of huge middle-fingers pointed directly at all their haters (basically turned out to be most of the songs you reacted to here except for 'Ice Cream'). Of course being as successful as they are, they would have haters; the more successful you get, the more haters you have or the worse the haters get. Since they are THE BIGGEST girl group in the world, they have the most haters right along with the most actual fans. Each member has dedicated haters because these ladies are all so awesome at what they do! Lisa is the youngest member, the Main Dancer (that would be the best dancer in the group according to how Koreans rate things in K-Pop) and she is the Lead Rapper (second place right behind Jennie, the Main Rapper). Lisa seemingly has the most haters out of these four ladies and the worst haters too, since they regularly come out with obvious racist attacks against her! Lisa was born and raised in Thailand but is in the Korean Music industry so some Koreans apparently think she is less-than-worthy of being in 'their' entertainment industry, no matter how hard she worked or what else she went through in order to be where she is. I really miss the days when these amazing ladies were just starting out and doing sweet-cutesy-innocent love songs. The double meaning in the lyrics to 'Ice Cream' is largely because Ariana Grande helped write that song; you know how raunchy she can be sometimes. This was a FUN song but also very adult... lol

Oh actually, in Kpop, almost all of the scenes in music videos are actually designed for the video. So the green screen is not used much. That's one of the things that sets Kpop apart!

I adore blackpink as human beings more than idols but vibe with a good handful of their songs.. I just find it annoying how blinks a lot of times have to point out numbers and the first to do something before actually speaking on their talent as an idol group. They are very fucking talented and THAT alone deserves to be discussed more than being the most followed on social media apps or the first to do something. Their talent, mostly cuz let’s not lie and act like EVERYONE follows them for their work, got them to those things so I wish blinks would speak on that more than basically explaining why their egos (fans not the members) are so huge with just numbers and shit. Behind those numbers are actual human beings who did the work for it - TALK ABOUT THAT FOR ONCE, and a lot more when new people are checking them out.. please. They deserve to be talked about for their talent FIRST, not the numbers they bring in. Anyways, their latest comeback - I was super happy to have rapper Jennie back. It was really good overall. Not a lot of change in topic they sing about but still really good! Waiting to see if they change anything up that really looks like things have changed but their brand is EVERYTHING so I don’t see it happening anytime soon, if ever. Patiently waiting for more from them tho.

For me personqlly their calmer songs are my favorites. Like As If It's Your Last is such a fun song. Playing With Gire is one of my faves it is beautiful and as well calmer. Lovesivk Girls is fun to listen to and the sound actually makes sense. As being lovesick is wrong but it makes you feel so many emotions. Then we have Whistle a track that was released next to BOOMBAYAH as theur debut. It is let's more like Shut Down as ut doesn't have a crazy drop but for that drop it is rather like Pink Venom. My Top 3 are Whistle, Pink Venom and Lovesick Girls if we talk about songs with MVs. Bside wise they have ballads like STAY that was wrotten by Jennie. Hope Not from KTL album. You Never Know from THE ALBUM(the best in my opinion). Lastly The Happiest Girl(alot of other blinks fave). From each album for me my faves are for SQUARE UP ONE and TWO Whistle, for SQUARE UP(2018) See You Later as well Forever Young, for KTL(2019) Don't Know What To Do and Kick It is good as well, for THE ALBUM Crazy Over You and You Never Know + LSG, for BORN PINK Tally and Pink Venom + Yeah Yeah Yeah(as well really LOVE Hard To Love which is a solo by Rosé) They have other collabs like Kiss and Make Up with Dua Lipa back in 2018, with Lady Gaga Sour Candy(my fave) in 2020, Bet You Wanna with Cardi B(in THE ALBUM).

The best way to watch Blackpink videos is right after watching the video watch the Making of the MV and then the Behind the scenes of the MV followed by Blackpink reacting to the MV. There is hidden meaning in all of their videos. Kill This Love: Rose' and Jisoo have to kill off the version of themselves to because they are not strong enough to break free of the toxic relationship. Lovesick Girls: Jennie stays in her car wreck of a relationship and it ends up driving her crazy. Rose' and Lisa find out they are dating the same guy so Lisa destroys his car and Rose' destroys his guitar and his apartment. Jisoo begins hopeful about love then runs away from it only to end up waist deep in her own tears. They are only truly happy when they are all 4 together, but they are still looking for love. Pink Venom: They all represent a venomous creature. Jennie is the centepede (the fangs on the monster truck and the long red carpet representing the shape of the centepede). Lisa is the venomous snake (reference the forbidden fruit and the serpent). Jisoo is a vampire (she said so in the making of the MV). Rose' is the Austrailian Funnelweb spider (turns its prey's insides into the black goo. Also the webs in the underground tunnel with butterflies captured in the webs).
