At worst, IMO he'll pretty quickly rank in the top 8 through 12 range of NFL QBs. If he is able to develop more consistency with his in-pocket reads and throws over the course of his first couple of season, then he'll be a perennial top 5 QB. Yes, I know it's early and I claim no expertise whatsoever. Just another poster on the internet. But that's my feeling as of today.

Caleb is him I'm a Bears fan from life and I have to admit I did not see Partrick coming at all but I'm a defensive kinda guy but Caleb will not sneak up on anyone when he learns the game speed it will slow down just like what happened to Partrick and Aaron they see things differently like any great in sport when they figure it out then they start having fun and the business part goes away he's already having fun this is going to be fun to watch!!!

Agreed. I love that Poles decided to draft him so early, the new OC could send Caleb’s QB Coach the playbook in March so he’s had an extra month or two to prepare. Poles ain’t perfect but it’s clear that the Bears finally have a legit GM too

Allen looking slow out there this preseason. Hope the delicious Chicago food hasn’t weighed him down. Also, that slant to Moore was on point. Moore needed to create more separation on that one. Looked like some of these weapons are phoning it in for the preseason.

i've been wanting caleb williams since before he transferred to usc. i wasn't a fan of justin fields as a prospect and didn't think he would pan out. wasn't sure if it would happen but we got lucky with the panthers pick. we have settled for all of the first round qb's we've taken. none of them were the consensus top pick.

Williams is much much faster than people thought. His top end speed may not be that of Justin Fields or Michael vick but he is probably even more shifty and has a unique burst which allows him to elude defenders. What most impressive is that he is NOT a runner. you have a top 10 elusive QB and he wants to juke guys and then pass. The dude is such an amazing prospect. i thought he was magic johnson or steph curry, i thought he was rodgers and favre (types of athletes who are unique and out of this world). he is probably even better.

I have no doubt Williams will have a bunch of highlight plays by the end of this season. If the Bears average 17 points per game or less, I'd be really worried about how things are going, despite the splash plays.

- Williams is magic johnson. he sees the game different than any QB ever and see angles no one else sees. - Williams is like Steph curry. before steph, NBA players were grinding it out, shooting difficult mid range jumpers. Before williams, QB's were all trying to complete 65% of their passes on highly inefficient small plays that dont score point. Williams will probably be the best playmaker in the NFL this year. eventually, he'll learn all about coverages and execution and read the game fasters.

I agree that Bagent is a terrific back-up QB and in a couple more years in this new offense could even be inside the top-30 in total QBs! Meanwhile Caleb will likely finish this year in the top-15 in total QBs and absolutely could be in the top-5 QBs in a couple more years in this offense. In summary, the two aren't in the same league. Caleb easily gives the Bears the best chance to win now, but especially later when they'll be true contenders.
