I had a discussion with “The Midnight” a few years back about this song. I found a sampler of it on their Twitter page & asked when Comet was getting released & I was told by them that they more than likely weren’t going to release it, I’m glad they changed their minds and released it after all.

One of my favourite parts of this song has to be that oh so subtle saxophone after he says "You'll know where to go at 3:07, it has that very breathey, dry sound to it and perfectly compliments the vocals, almost mirroring them. Bend has the same quality. I think this song is sort of an amalgam of Synthetic, Lonely City and Bend in many ways, with a little bit of what would become Light Years in the saxophone solos. Possibly my favourite of their tracks.

The Midnight is phenomenal, and these songs are excellent, absolutely. But- watching these guys "drink it in," was f-ing creepy. I was sure these 2 were about to start.... eh you get the idea. Awkward. With a soft spoken NPR style audio capturing.... I don't understand these reaction videos anyway. And talking over the song- HORRID. Sinful.
