People always keep talking about he should've just went back to his karate "hop then pop" style (if you know what I mean), the reason he stopped doing it is because he realized how much it gassed him out, especially at Welterweight, now whenever the fight went past the 2nd round, he would just take a relaxed boxing stance to reserve energy. ✨The More You Know✨

@matthewgregory72973 жыл бұрын
Only criticism in this is about the stance and the hands low approach that you wanted to see . With Connor vs a orthodox fighter eg. Alvarez he would have his hands low touching the right arm of Alvarez to easily control the arm as it is the closest arm to him and then be able to counter of it. Connor vs southpaw means his lead left arm would have to reach across his body to control Dustin’s lead arm so if he had his hands down the lead arm of Connor will be controlling and touching thin air also Dustin’s right hand is uniquely his power hand so it would be extremely dangerous to go in hands down with the chance of a quick lead right hook from Dustin going for a non protected face

I think Conor's point about evolution is about learning where he went wrong and learning from it. I think he's saying that Dustin revealed the flaws in his technique, especially the less refined one he has adopted now and is refining his skills to overcome it. You learn more from losing than winning, I think thats what hes trying to say, not that his performance during the fight was the showcase of his evolution, rather that now he understands how to fix the issues he had. Thats my take on it at least.

This is why people need to respect Ronaldo, he has way more money Conor has, he has put his name, on underwear, shoes, parfume, clothing, headphones.....and so much more. Conor's mind games weren't just for his opponents, it put pressure on himself as well. He was banking that he would thrive under pressure while opponents would wilt... at some point he lost that confidence, I think it was losing to Floyd. No it isn't, because it creates a narrative that Conor didn't work hard for this fight and so he wasn't 100%. Which only takes away from what Dustin did. A few world class fighters who have lost to mcgregor have lost, not because he is a god in the cage but because mcgregors reputation used to provoke a primal fear in fighters that made them make mistakes and not take chances they would of normally took. so once u take the fear out of the equation and u stop seeing a god infront of u and u start to see just another man, the game changes. Basically once u remove mcgregors mind games it’s not hard to beat him.

I feel like Conors biggest issue isn't that he's lost "the hunger" or drive to become the best, its that he's realised he can take huge amounts of time off, lose matches but as long as he presents and sells himself as "Conor McGregor" he'll make huge amounts of cash regardless, so thats become his sole focus, selling the character of Conor McGregor rather than remembering what it meant to be Conor McGregor.
