Besides, Dimash had a job offer at the National Opera in Astana, but he chose his path. He certainly sings the opera wonderfully. Greetings 😘

i LOVED this performance! So many people overlook this performance, but it is really great! They put so much emotion into this...especially Dimash. Clearly, no other Male duet of this song could have been performed this way. And Dimash's high notes really were showing the desperation, pain, anger, and passion. And then, once the duel was decidedly going to happen, Dimash's high notes became ethereal and sad. Like one of them dying was now inevitable and his voice was crying at this culmination. 'Tu Vas Me Detruire' means 'You Will Destroy Me' So it's .... I don't know.... It's so beautiful. I loved that the song remained neutral in that it showed the desperation of both men equaly and that it was painful for both and incredibly sad for both. It illustrated clearly the devastatingly senseless point that this passion had led them to. Dimash's voice just floats out there at the end..... as if an angel is weeping for them both.

Dear Sabina, I'm always so happy with your reactions, thank you so much! And you definitely don't over-analyse what you see - Dimash is a miracle and when he is performing with others he is definitely caring, serving so that they can shine. This is fantastic - humble and respectful - and this is why all these performances work and are so impressive. And I LOVE seeing Dimash on an opera stage, he has got it all! - When I overlooked to how many wonderful, beautiful performances of Dimash you've already reacted to, I miss one performance that is really VERY important to me, I could listen to this song for hours and the rest of my life. This was a competition on Russian TV and Dimash was invited by Sundet for duet since Episode was for duets... Finally Sundet took a 4th place among 12 contestants... Sundet is a baritone with the Astana Opera House now...

Hi, Dear. He has not sung with Dimash before but if you'd like a connection to Dimash, they appeared on Singer together when Di came back to Singer and sang "Hello". In fact, you can see him watching Dimash singing and they were both talking and hugging at the end of the show. More importantly, many Dears are also Martians and there is actually a fan group specifically for fans of both. Many of us see that both of them are of the light and born for a purpose. His name is Hua Chenyu and, in his homeland of China, he sold out a 90,000 seat stadium in under a minute, added another show and sold that out immediately. Just as I flew from California to NYC to see Dimash, and will fly to Kazakhstan to see him there, I will also be going to China for Hua Hua's Martian concert. His music is very different from Dimash's but he writes amazing, deep, meaningful songs and is amazing to listen to. I hope you give him a listen. And if you want to venture from just music, the ice skater Yuzuru Hanyu is another light in the world right now that both Dears and Martians often connect to. Sundet Baigozhin is a very good opera singer in Kazakhstan. Friend of is parents, and was invited by him for this presentation. Dimash could sing any song from opera to rock and be comfortable in any gender. When he finish the course in the college of fine arts in classical singing was invited to be part of the opera of Kazakhstan but he declined. Dimash have others plans and nothing going to interfiled.

The song was originally intended for a solo singer (in French). They made a *lot* of changes to the original score. The date is significant for Dimash fans, because in his own words, he admitted that he didn't gain full access to his baritone register until around two years ago. In more recent performances, such as 'Ulisse,' where Dimash *does* have full access to his baritone register, his resonance for lower notes is much improved. It's still a very good performance. If you know even a little about opera, then you could guess, the moment Sundet opens his mouth and sound comes out, who will die at the end. It's a Rule in opera: the baritone is the bad guy. The tenor is the good guy. Bad guys must lose, or the audience will be unhappy at the end. My speaking voice is baritone (I won't pretend I can sing), so I'm a little irked by the Rule. Having to go through life being seen by opera lovers as inherently bad is... inherently bad! Fun fact: the basso profundo and baritone ranges aren't much different. The real difference is in resonance. To get bass resonance, you have to have super-thick vocal chords. Dimash will never sing bass; his vocal chords are thin, which is one reason he can stretch across such a large range. Baritone singers are the bad guys, the antagonists. Bass singers are the authority figures, fathers, kings. Authority can be evil, can be good. Mezzo sopranos are the mother figures, or evil witches, they can go either way, too. Sopranos are the young ingenues, innocent and pretty and probably a bit daft, or even stupid. Following the Rule can lead to cognitive dissonance, as when an older soprano takes a young role and a young mezzo is her mom. Opera is rather stilted; the art form could probably stand some refreshing. It sure sounds good, though! Time for a recommendation! A bit daft, or even stupid, role for a soprano is perfectly encapsulated by Patricia Janečková's performance of Offenbach's 'Les Oiseaux dans la Charmille.' The role is for a singing mechanical doll. Recommended! She's a young coloratura soprano, singing a *very* difficult song. @urgelt I have a soft spot for baritone opera singers so it's a problem to never be able to wish their role figures success without feeling a bit strange. I think Sundet in this role is the closest I can come. Sundet has a wonderful baritone and the role is not Scarpia, burr, the meanest role in baritone operaworld. Dimash is very good here but that's another story.

(sorry/not sorry...!😂) Thanks Sabina, for reacting to another of Dimash's amazing duets!❤ This is one I would really love to hear Dimash and Sundet re-perform, now that Di's lower register is so much rounder and richer and yummier and just... ooh, everything! I loved it though... those angelic interludes were just stunning, each performed in a single breath, and pitch-perfect throughout - but for me, it was that last verse, where Dimash lets his more "pop" persona out, and brings just soooo much passion and emotion to the song... wowowow! But I've got to tell you, that what you saw with Dimash looking around, wasn't him trying to catch Sundet's eye - it was to make sure he wasn't about to hit him! As you might have noticed by now(😉), Dimash doesn't really DO standing still - especially when he wants to "let loose" and throw his entire being into a song? - but with our Di being the considerate colleague that he is, is always mindful of where his fellow musicians are on the stage... that way, if/when he flings those long arms of his around a bit, he won't accidentally bop them on the nose!🤗 (something I'm sure has DEFINITELY happened, lol!) You see him doing the same thing in «The Show Must Go On», when standing next to the guitarist - isn't he just the sweetest? Anyways my love, I've been a bit poorly, so I've got quite a few of your videos I'll be needing to catch up on over the next week or so - though I couldn't resist wanting to hear your thoughts on this one straight away! Знаете, я ещё заметила.: что в любых дуэтах - Димаш не перетягивает на себя "одеяло". Он украшает, мягко дополняя своего напарника (цу)- своими "крутыми фишками и эмоциональностью". Мне видится в этом уважение Димаша к творчеству, к личности и к совместной работе. Ни в одном видео я ни разу не заметила,не уместное вмешательство в чужую партию. всегда гармоничное звучание

It is almost easy, at times, to forget that Dimash is so intensely trained in classical and operatic music! I love seeing him taking on operatic roles; he is so skilled! And it is such a privilege to watch him grow in all of the genres he is exploring and enhancing! I've become a follower of two more musicians from I Am Singer 2017. Hua Chenyu and Jam Hsiao, each very well known (and loved) in Chinese music, and each with a compelling back story, have captured my attention. Gifted and innovative young musicians!

Bonjour Sabina. Je trouve que cette chanson n'est pas suffisamment écoutée par les réacteurs. Merci de l'avoir fait. Il m'est impossible de dire quelle chanson je préfère. Il y en a que quelques rares pour lesquelles j'ai moins d'affinités, mais cela ne m'empêche pas de reconnaître leurs qualités. Par contre, tous les partenaires avec qui il a chanté en duo sont des chanteurs d'exception car il ne peut que selectioner de belles personnes de qualité. Chacune d'entre elles m'a amené à les écouter dans leur répertoire habituel, et c'est un enrichissement !! Je rêve qu'un réacteur (ou un fan-club Dears) fasse une compilation de tout ses duos et nous les soumette !!! Hello Sabina. Too bad this blocking of videos on KZbin. I imagine the work it does. In this video today, I agree with you. Dimash's interpretation brought more drama, more emotion. Not that the other singer is not great. But Dimash always does a complete job. It holds your attention and makes us feel what the music means. I was a little confused at the end of your comments, about a possible pause in your reactions and about the question you asked us about Dimash's music. I don't completely master English, so what I understood, more or less, is that you want to know what our favorite song is. For a couple of years this song was available only on Russian internet (not you tube) and heavily protected by copyright, and it was difficult to learn about its history. However it seems that : in the year 2015 or 2016, after winning Slavic Baazar competition in 2015 , young Dimash was invited by renowned Kazakh baritone Sundet Baigozhin , who participated in a competition for opera singers, to help him by singing one of the songs in duet with him. Ir seems Sundet won the whole competiion. The Russian announcers who introduced the duet to the public compared it with famous duet of Freddy Mercury and Monserrat Caballe (still young Dimash was not famous at all at that time _- this introduction was included in the "Russian version"). They also called the duet "experimental" as in the original version of the Musical it was not a duet and it was not a duel !!! And there was no Dimash voice !!! However the original version of this aria is fantastic and very famous !!! Lara is amazing. She inspired Dimash greatly. She also works with Igor Krutoy and they wrote a lot of beautiful songs. The same MV maker, Alan Badoev ( who shot Love of tired swans and Know) made a thrilling Film for Lara. But I personally can watch it by series as it is extremely emotional.
