„I mean I thought I heard everything he can do“..…🤔 No, not at all.🤭 With Dimash you always have to expect the unexpected😂. There is no official music video or something. This was the premiere of this song. There are just live performances. He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range. Please react to Olimpico or also Ogni Pietra from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Thank you for your response to this epic beauty. One of my favorite performances by the Master. However, some commentators are right: You haven’t really seen or heard anything yet. Glad to be with you on this exciting journey. Спасибо за ваш отклик на эту эпическую красоту. Одно из моих любимых выступлений Мастера. Однако некоторые комментаторы правы: вы еще ничего толком не видели и не слышали. Рада быть с вами в этом увлекательном путешествии ❤

The issue is not only the copyright but also that Dimash is an independent singer, he signed with no western music company and these companies have trolls to report his songs/ reactions so as to not to let "their market space being invaded". It´s a market issue: we "belong to them and to their territory". At the beginning sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound. Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again" Reminds me also to the Old Testament; Exodus 2:22 Moses, “And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom [that is, A stranger there]; for he said, “I have been a stranger in a strange land.”

Pretty shocking, huh?! This is the shocking I really enjoy🤗 Maybe like myself and many others you'll have many, many "favorites" which, of course, is an oxymoron...kind of like Dimash himself. Just breaking all that's conventional💫✨ Such a fun reaction!🎉 Thanks and God bless you. See you on the next one. I think you might Enjoy War And Peace or, quite the opposite, Ikanaide.

Movie first and after, watch it Live version from Almaty Concert. This is a very special song with a real strong message. This is not a song like usual, it is more than that. But... be well prepared. The movie will help you the strong of his message. After, the live version will become more powerful. Thanks again for your comments!

The instrument is a Kobyz : The kobyz is a Turkic stringed bowed fiddle used in the Kazakh folk music of Kazakhstan. The instrument originally had 2 strings (melody and drone). It had a two-part body that is open on the upper half and covered with skin on the lower half. In the 1930s, when the first folk instrument orchestras were established in the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, a new kind of kobyz came into existence.

The instrument is a Kobyz. It is a traditional Kazakh 2 stringed instrument.
@alariepoet80152 ай бұрын
The instrument is the precursor of the violin, the oldest surviving instrument played with a bow with only 2 strings: a kobyz. "Everything he can do" becomes a larger target day by day. p.s. I just played your performance of "It Happened Quiet," and thought it was beautiful. Wishing you much success in your own music career. I just subscribed to your channel.

Hello, the instrument is called kobiz, Dimash has more epic songs, e.g. Olimpic, actually Dimash has so many songs that it's hard for me to recommend them because each one is a gem, but I will recommend you a clip that Dimash recorded and lasts 22 minutes, he composed it for 3 years, it's called History of One Sky , there is a concert version, but I recommend the clip because it is fantastically composed and causes great emotion. Regards.
