their choreographer, hwang sooyeon, said the dance was inspired by the movie, "US" (gahyeon reaching through the barrier to choke minji, just as the girl's doppelganger did in the movie) which is what you may have been thinking of during the opening!

Bookish Theories makes a decent case that this is, in fact, the same Hotel Palme from Chase Me (and Good Night?) due to the mirrors and the palm motif on the walls.

Well, well, well. Hi there! Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a Korean written character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here. She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "You turn blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. If you want to find a connection to the Dystopia trilogy, you could say that this might be a criticism of overly obsessive fans, who turn to malicious comments and other bad things, but I am not sure about that. In any case, Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.

It's hard to tell, but bear in mind her hair _is_ actually that short right now, and it's certainly dark enough. I suspect the fringe/bangs are the only part that isn't actually her... Apparently there's a bit of a modern tradition in Korea of horror films being released in summer; the chills from the movie help counter the heat. The story of the song is that DC are so obsessed with their lover that they'll kill them rather than risk them leaving, so... 6:55 It's Good Night _and_ Chase Me, but I doubt it's the same hotel; the implication was that _that_ hotel was repurposed from their old boarding school from Fly High. This hotel looks much more modern and purpose-built... Your unadulterated glee is infectious... 😁

The mv story is based on the movie ‘Us’. I think the members in the hotel were original in the beginning. But they were captured, learned, switched, by doppelgänger from underworld. In the end , all of them were switched, so they looked like dolls in the end . And smirked for their victory . And the ✌️ hand in the movie is doppelgänger’s weapon for kill.

Even if this has to do with “US”, I still see something from every title track music video!! So to me, right or wrong, it seems they are going back to before they broke away from the nightmare and since they caught Gahyeon, thanks to Jiu, they are all now back in the nightmare. Have you read the lyrics? Really creepy! One comment on the MV (by Kpop Asian Sub) posted an English translation. Looked for a few, but there are some differences ( especially the sentence that ends with blue, "I turn the sky blue" or It/you ... blue). Best read a couple 😁. Hope there will be official ones added soon. Now I really have to see the movie Us, the MV is inspired by it. It's about doppelgangers...😱
