This song is awesome. They actually made a French version of that song called "L'Appel des Montagnes" which is the perfect translation of the English title. And actually they played the French version on a gig just after the terrorist attack in the Bataclan in Paris in November 2015, as a beautiful tribute. A good friend of mine was at this show, that I believe was in Glasgow, and he told me that the emotion was so deep, everybody cried in the audience and even the band. Loved it! I cannot wait for more Eluveitie! I gotta give a recommendation for 2 tracks off of their Helvetios album. The very first track (Prologue) and the second track (Helvetios). The prologue sets up the whole album (it's a concept album about the Gallic wars from the perspective of the the Helvetians), so it's really good to do the first two tracks as a single reaction. It just sets everything up so very nicely. And Helvetios is on the heavier side. Still has an awesome rhythm though. I think you'd love it from an instrumentation standpoint. Anyways, great reaction! Fantastic as always. This is one of the first songs I ever heard from Eluveitie, and you're 100% correct (of course you are): The chorus is catchy as hell. Another one of their tracks which I REALLY like is Epona. It features Fabienne (their newer female singer) and is sung in the nearly extinct Gaulish language. Super awesome.. If you're in need of a bit of levity, and let's face it, who isn't these days? There's a video which kept popping up in my feed which I kept ignoring it because I'm not a huge fan of DragonForce, but it was "DragonForce attempts to write a Nightwish song in 10 minutes". Thanks for another great reaction Chase. I just posted this comment/request on another video of yours but it fits better here: I’d love to hear what you think about Cellar Darling - they are formed by a few former members of Eluveitie including Anna Murphy. They are a folk/prog metal band. My favorites are “Insomnia” and “Death” which are from their latest album. If you're liking hearing the different directions Eluveitie takes their music in, I'd highly recommend checking out "Epona", "Lvgvs" or really anything off of the Evocation I or Evocation II albums. As much as I want to recommend just about every song in their discography, I tend to think of Eluveitie as making 3 distinct types of songs. You've heard the heavier stuff (Rebirth) and the more female-fronted side of things (this one), but they also have a third, more acoustic folk-rock type of sound. But frankly, anything this band does won't steer you wrong - even the "B-sides" of their albums are fantastic.

I kind of want to suggest a double-track, because two of their newer songs are just best listened to together. They're "The Slumber" and "Worship". They lead into each other, both thematically and in story. And they bring in more of the hurdy gurdy you heard in Rebirth, which wasn't actually in this song. So, if you want to hear more of that, I'd definitely suggest those two songs, because it's very prominent in them. As for live stuff, there actually aren't many actual live videos where they just show one song. They're often full concerts. But if you want to look at their live stuff, the videos usually have a pinned comment or a description that timestamp each song. Definitely, I would suggest Ategnatos, because it's a lead-in to the album of the same name, which Rebirth and those other two songs I mentioned are on. That and "Ategnatos" is literally Gaulish for "Rebirth". But that, I think, might be my favorite song by them. If you want to hear any of their acoustic stuff too, there are two major songs done with both the vocalists. "Brictom", with Anna Murphy, and "Epona", with Fabienne. They capture the very essence of that folk theme the band is known for, and pull away the metal for the more pure old Celtic style. And then going back to Anna Murphy again would be another of their best, "Inis Mona". So, those are my suggestions. The Slumber, Worship, Ategnatos, Brictom, Epona, and Inis Mona.

How have I never heard this? It's frikkin' awesome! 🎼🎶 I so wish there had been a band (or even a scene I could have formed a band within) like this for me when I was a youngster and could still play the violin (arthritis cured me of that). Heck, I could even have brought some bass vocal accompaniment to a mix like that! (where is a bass clef symbol when you need one) Jumped onto Spotify to give them a follow!

Dear Chase, you must check "Ne Obliviscaris -- Forget Not". if you never heard it. Amazing song, with lot of things to say. You won't regret.
