I was going through a pain pill addiction when this dropped...things were bad. Today I'm 7 years clean...this cd helped...I even had my own Hayley for inspiration she wasnt my daughter but my niece and I wanted to be an uncle she was proud of...I had to help raise her like my child because her biological sperm donor skipped out...yeah I never call him her dad but she has someone now that wants to be her dad. I'll forever be indebted he did that for her.

Two months here. Fantanyl "blues" for years. I thought like every other time I quit for a bit, it would last for a week. Still get goosebumps. Dream EVERY night about getting high or my regrets. Spend every day hating myself. I know it gets better, but I just want to know when, man. I just want to know when. I've lost people and shit too, and I quit so I wouldn't do drugs and could live, for them. But this shit won't end, I can't even remember myself without that shit. But I still refuse to give in. Think about suicide alot more than relapse. And then you gotta deal with not telling ANYONE because if you do, you'll always be treated like a junkie. Even when you're doing so, so, so much better.

"It sometimes feels like life is trying to fit you in a box. School is putting you in a box, Your job is putting you in a box, Your insurance company is putting you in a box. Maybe you don't fit in this box, Maybe you don't want to be in this box at all, and the only way out is a dark road. It's not an easy decision to take, It's not an easy road to walk... But the feeling of being trapped in a box is just ... So you enter into the dark, and it turns out the dark doesn't hurt. Your eyes adjust and you see where the road is leading, It often leads to a point where you have to take a leap of faith or go back to the box. So you jump... The faith bit is not so much in the leaping, It's in the landing, The space between them can feel forever, but when you land, and you will, You learn that the landing teaches you to fly."

@@7Be Don't honestly know if you have listened to the full album but every song on relapse, and even refill for that matter have some of the most complex rhyme schemes. The accents were a bit much if you were looking for it to be annoying but i enjoyed it. The word bending was something Em could hardly pull off nowadays. The context was the best in any album vividly creating a story with each song. Also had variety for all moods, songs that go in depth about drug usage and fighting addiction, heart felt songs like be careful what you wish for or beautiful. The context and technicalities of the album were ahead of its time by far, and is my favorite Em album.

@@7Be that’s cap, beautiful was an amazing song that gave us insight on how he really felt about fame at that time, it was real, not “corny”, he was being transparent and relatable asf, that’s why a lot of people love that song and a lot of the more serious and personal songs on relapse/refill. And tbh that album in general was a deep delve into his drugged up mind at the time, overall a solid project with incredible technical rap skill, imagery, storytelling and some of his best lyricism ever, you should listen to it again.

These song’s that come from Eminem’s heart & soul is why I love this guy. He is the only artist that chokes me up with his lyrics. There are so heart felt to me. I have so much respect for Em bc of it. The fact that he finally realized that he & Kim couldn’t be together and that he can only love her from a far says a lot about him. I think it’s great that he will do anything for Kim anytime any day bc she’ll always have a special place in his heart even tho they have to stay a part. He’s awesome for thinking this way in my opinion. Bc he & Kim have been thru a lot together & that SHOULD mean something if not a lot. Also, I never til watching this reaction realized how much of Marshall died with Proof. Proof was there every step of the way. How sad it had to be feeling all alone. I hope he knows Proof has never really left him & will always be with him in spirit. Thank you Eminem for another great song & thank you Shaq for another great reaction. I love you too! ✌🏼

THANKS COACH!!! THIS IMO IS EMs most heart filled song.. He legit explains it all and why was like tbe way he was at this point.. I lost both my blood brothers in less than a year apart to suicide.. My lil bro first blew his brains out then 9months later my older bro hung himself in our dads storage shed in his back yard and i was the one that found him the next morning... I literally feel like half of me left with them both and this track right here got me through the first year of it..

yea, this is one of the reasons why I grow respect and not just "being a fan" for Em. His honesty and his love for his family (blood or not). He's not perfect but he keeps learning shit and sharing it. Thanks for getting that too, coach
