You really need to watch motherland: fort Salem. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It’s got a diverse female cast that are all hot as hell, is lesbian from the 1st episode, every characters growth through the season is great. It took me a couple episodes to get into the story but its great and I’m so excited to see what happens in season 2. It might make Roses fear of balloons worse though.

You guys HAVE to watch Pose. It revolves around the black/latino gay and trans community in 1987-88 in the height of the AIDS epidemic. Watching it not only helps you learn a bit more about the ballroom scene (in NYC specifically) at the time which also is incredibly important for LGBT culture (but for something thats actually a documentary, I would recommend Paris is Burning, an incredible look into the people there in that time talking about their lives, etc.). Also, the show has so many black trans women in it played by actual black trans women.
