Just FYI, the language in Birth of a New Age was not Dutch but a language of Suriname prior to Dutch colonization. A pretty powerful thing to include in the song representing the Netherlands.
@alexhalex83 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if that's what you were implying but Sranan Tongo is still not a native American language. It's an English-based creole with great Dutch influence in the vocabulary that started developing back when it still was an English colony. So what you say is partly true but it's not an indigenous language (again, sorry if you were not implying that, but for someone who doesn't know it may look like so).

Not Dutch but I like the Netherlands' entry. The message and the lyrics resonated with me. It is very underappreciated, disliked even, but the lyrics are just powerful in my opinion. The non-English phrase is Sranan Tongo, the official language of Suriname where Jeangu is from. It is Yu no man broko mi, which means "You can't break me." In the last part of the song, there's the phrase "Yu no man broko mi. Mi na afu sensi." It is roughly translated to "You can't break me, I am only half a cent." I have read that afu sensi (half cent) is the lowest currency you can have in Suriname. In a sense, the lyric meant to me that you can't bring me down any lower or you can no longer break me. Great reactions to the songs. I hope to watch your reactions in part 2. Be well and stay safe.

Switzerland, His voice is magical. The song is so powerful and he definitely got one of the best voices this year. 3. Iceland, Do I have to say anything? They’re fantastic! Fun and the lyrics is super cute. 4. Sweden, because it’s my country and Tusse is such an amazing guy who has had a very tough childhood as a refugee and yeah, he is so young and fantastic. I do really think you should go ahead and listen to these songs. They’re definitely up there with bets and I bet you all of these will be somewhere in the top 7🥰

I like this music, the singer, the voice, the lyrics and the melodic line, the contemporary dance is also very well placed in this video, the grimaces of this singer, her way of dodging, everything is by far very well done ! He would have fully deserved the first place at Eurovision ! With a dreamy air and a cosmic look, Roxen considers music to be a therapy, both for her and for those who listen to her. Her songs heal, purify and bring harmony. Her music does not make a difference, it is universal, just like love. "I want to be that spark that ignites a flame in other people's lives. I want everyone to try to do that. The world would be so much better!" Roxen is the new generation of international music, beyond the fact that she was wronged at Eurovision, her wandering face, voice and lyrics show us this overwhelming aspect!
