We did this video to show people that those who claim they left islam actually never knew anything about islam and the reason for leaving the religion was based on emotions, desires or things they didn't like in islam. this shows the issue is with themselves rather than islam.
Why i left islam?

I was an atheist, the religion became important to me when I was 11 years old. So it's possiible to think about religion. My grandmother passed away and my parents got divorced. I was lonely and started to speak to God. I felt in love with the Islam. I officially converted 14 years ago. This girl had nafs problems.

@@satal6089 salam aleykum Brother. Thank you for asking. That's kind of you. It's almost 20 years ago. I wasn't officially converted yet. I thought it wasn't allowed in Islam for me to become a muslim. I was sick for almost 8 years. Doctors said they couldn't really help me out. One day I was watching the news. I saw the people in the war, but they were talking with so much strenght. I started to pray and cry to Allah SWT. I have asked Allah SWT to help me out. I had a dream exactly that night. I was in a mosque. One pure person was there and he said the exact words I told Allah SWT. He gave me the Quran and he said that Allah SWT wanted me to become a Muslim + He would forgive my sins. I woke up and went to my Muslim neighbours. It was ramadan and they told me it was the laylatul Qadr. Someone gave me the Quran a month later. I started reading the Holy Quran. It felt so peaceful. It exually healed me after years of sickness. It was a true miracle for me. That was the reason why I finely converted to the Islam. Now the answer for your question. Yes I am alhamdullilah fine now. Thank you, Brother.

For example for me it was my father because he read Quran and injil and the tawra (jewish book sry if that’s not what it’s called in English) and he told me a lot of stuff that I found was covered up or just not mentioned by google. Honestly I’m 16 and while I was raised Muslim, I never really explored islam and learned it until I was 14. I would pray and fast but I never understood why until I read the Quran two years ago. I never stopped though. I just tried to learn and it all came to me. Many ex-Muslims I know haven’t even read the Quran. So they weren’t true Muslims. They were just cultural ones. So I didn’t think they should use the label ex-Muslim. True ex-Muslims are very rare but they know the religion inside and out and decided it wasn’t for them. I’m not going to trash them because they are people but I just think that you can’t speak out against Islam and use that label if you never comprehensively studied it in the first place. Their parents just taught them a distorted version of Islam brought on by culture instead of religion and they thought that that was what islam was and never bothered learning. One of them was beaten by her dad because she didn’t want to wear the niqab. Hijab is compulsory and even then no one can force it on you because the Quran says that no one is supposed to force the religion on someone else. But the niqab isn’t compulsory and she wanted the hijab but not the niqab and if she studied Islam, she would know that him hitting her to force the religion on her was wrong and that she didn’t have to wear the niqab if she didn’t want to but she could still only wear the hijab and practice Islam. People think Islam is oppressive because there are many countries that claim to be Muslim or are Muslim majority and put in laws that are. Islam is perfect but Muslims aren’t. That’s why you should always make the distinction between culture and religion before judging. Also, I think we need to stop gatekeeping the faith and letting people find it. Obviously, people don’t consider extremists true Muslims but I’m talking about people who are very hard on reverts. One of my best friends converted to Islam and when she first converted, she didn’t do all the five prayers correctly because she was still learning Arabic and how to do them correctly and when she went for Friday prayer, people would judge her. Advising is ok for fellow Muslims. It is even encouraged. But by judging people who are trying to become Muslims or be better Muslims, we could be pushing them away.

@@amaltaher2717 yes, that's true. A real ex-Muslim won't say stuff like these. Compare ex-Christians who join Islam with these people, they never say bad words about Christianity. That's what our religion teaches us but as you said that never ever opened the Quran.

School is for you to be educated. Kids often doesnt understand this because it doesnt makes no fun and be honest most schoolsystems suck and are boring and nothing for kids, just for little soldiers who have to be raised. Religion is a dogma, a ideology and should be questioned and criticised. School is there to educate not to ideologise people and make them to blind believers, however its so in my country, its benefit people with knowledge, wisdom anda little bit craftsmanship. You gain a lot of different, more and less valuable degrees who you can working with because you did your best, are mediocre or dont take any effort in this, its a life changer and you yourself build your future path with school, its precious but not allways fair and good. Religion dont have this or implemented school, its about spiruality and god. Religion is a dogma, a ideology. You compare apples with pears. Because you didnt understand it doesnt mean you shouldnt investigate. never bring this argument with age, its stupid, when young people investigate, they use their brain and makes own decision without believing blind the elderlies and the "perfect" society, when you isolate them and do presure from society to them, they never learn to think on their own and have opinions on their own, not talking just that what others higher tiers say but what they are thinking. Its good when young people deal with this topics. You SHOULD investigate and questioned it. I allways questioned Religion in my 20 years in life and guess... it didnt makes sense for me when I was 12 and even yet with 20 years... because I investigate in an unbiased enviroment, in a nearly dogma free society.

EmbunWidia Islam is against killing. The countries that have laws against apostasy are wrong. The Quran literally says there is no compulsion in religion and that you treat everyone with respect, regardless of whether or not they are Muslim because they are human. The people who force conversion or force staying in the religion are going against that. I’m Lebanese where freedom of religion is a big thing so I haven’t had that experience but I know people do and the people who force conversion are committing a major sin.

@@tauseefahmad2241 I'm pretty sure you already know all this but basically... Arabs at the time didn't go by a particular age (they didn't have a standardized yearly calendar at first). What they considered a sign of adulthood was the onset of puberty. By everyone at the time this was 100% legal and accepted. Even those who wanted to insulting Mohammed saws in any way didn't use this against him which proves it was right. Sure,to us in 21st century it's crazy to think a 9 y/o is capable of doing anything other than play,but that's only cuz we mistakenly assume the circumstances are the same through history. Thousands of years ago life expectancy was like 35/40 ,they didn't have and lived like we do now. So yeah basically the circumstances are different than today and then it was 100% legal and right to marry off young

Livaren no you don't. You need a reason to believe something that stupid. To not believe something you don't need a reason. You can just not believe it. You can look at something as idiotic as Islam and say "i don't buy it". That's enough.
@Livaren
@Livaren 7 жыл бұрын
If you don't buy it, then you must buy the alternative and thus have a reason for doing so. For example, if you choose not to believe in God, you must have a reason to believe why God does not exist, thus the reasoning/evidence for that to you appears stronger which is why you do so. Believing/disbelieving in something without reasoning is ignorance.
@orangepepe9531
@orangepepe9531 7 жыл бұрын
+Livaren I disagree. Just because you don't buy a religion, that doesn't mean you buy ANY alternative. You might think all theories about the creation of this universe are equally rubbish and choose to live an agnostic life. Also how is disbelieving in something without reasoning, ignorant? It would only be ignorant if the thing you're disbelieving in is scientifically proven. So saying 'I don't believe the world is round' WOULD be ignorant But disbelieving a theory, is fine, because it's just that - a theory.

These people act like their parents are God, they would say you MUST respect your parents even if they abused you. The fact is they don't understand. “Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried?” (29:2) The ayah makes it clear that accepting Islam or being a believer and proclaiming faith does not mean that a Muslim has gained some kind of a card that frees him or her from all kinds of troubles, trials and difficulties. Rather, Allah Almighty tests the believers. This means we as humans are thrown into all sorts of issues from family problems, to financial issues and it is up to the person to know how they deal with these kinds of things which is either patience or sadly, like these people, run away and misunderstand and claim that they have tried without having any knowledge whatsoever.

I mean even when I was 12, I didn't completely understand it either even though I started attending an Islamic school. I began to appreciate Islam way more though. However there is so much depth to it so no one can FULLY understand Islam unless you're a scholar who studied for a number of years. And by FULLY, I mean we won't have a perfect understanding of EVERYTHING unless we are scholars. That still means we know enough to refute others about such matters if needed. The only reason why youth run away from Islam is because they think it's culturally imposed when in fact, that's not how it's supposed to be. Islam came for all nations transcending through time.

Can someone clarify where these ex-Muslims went wrong? I'm from a multi faith background with Christian and Muslim members so for instance my Muslim aunties have no problem with my Christian uncles, so people not adhering to Islam doesn't bother them. Why does it bother Muslims when people leave the religion? I'm a Christian and I have no problem with friends either not attending church or even no longer becoming Christian because it's their decision . I don't think you guys should make it an issue to be honest.

PRETTY HOLLYPOLLY lol this is such a late reply😂😅 If someone wanted to leave Islam or any religion for that matter then they are free to do so, however if they wish to state why they left in a way that is trying to show Islam (or which ever religion) in a light that is not true then of course, people will have something to say in rebuttal as what they are saying is almost slanderous; especially when they are not educated enough in that subject to make a good argument. So yes you are free to leave the religion and you’re free to say why you left but you’re not free from the responses as consequence

With all due respect brothers, we cannot dismiss emotional reasons. You know because human beings are not only logical they are also emotional. Many Muslim elders make the mistake of abusing their children in the name of religion. I know our parents mean well. They're the sincerest people for us. But, they're not perfect as you said nobody's perfect but Islam is. However, the mistakes elders do is they specifically quote the Quranic verse or Hadith that is in their favor. Instead of preaching the Quran they use it as a whip to discipline their children (I'm not judging their intentions just behaviors). I personally have been a victim of that. Thank God now I am married to a man who is not only well-versed in the Quran and Sunnah, he actually lives up to them. He encouraged me to study Quran and oh God, I felt that this is the first time I'm being introduced to Islam. Long story short, we have to embody the way of Islam. We actually have to embody the Sunnah of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him. We have to be very supportive of revert Muslims. Although logical debate is important but we have to keep in my mind that we cannot invalidate emotional experiences people are going through. Thank you for reading. May Allah guide us all.

Ali Dawah, I get your intentions behind this video but this video appears to be more of a sheer mockery towards people who're ex-Muslims. Please understand that there are two sides in every story, stories that are personal to them and simply quantifying them with facts will push them further away from the truth of Islam. Islam allows us the right to hold faith, opinion, and lifestyle. Even a slight hint of passive aggressiveness in condemned in Islam. I've seen more videos of that ex-Muslim girl, she had been forced to hold faith, she had questions that were unanswered, she was deprived of the real beauty of Islam and her parents will have to answer for giving her such a hard time. I get that she couldn't hold her faith at age 12 but that doesn't discredit the fact that she was thoughtful enough to think about religion and questioned it, and probably didn't get as many answers as she deserved. I think both of them are sensible humans and we, as Muslims and as human beings, should give them sufficient space and have dialogues for the sake of doing what's right, finding what true instead of contesting over it. I believe it's downright close-minded to think All Ex-Muslims left the religion based on emotions, desires or things they didn't like in Islam. Some of them have conducted research on Islam a lot more than the general mass of Muslims do but not everyone can connect the dots and make sense out of it. So if you wanna preach, know your audience and make the right approach. I'm a proud Muslim and that's my 2 cents. Peace.

@@sitiemariambalindong6689 That's indeed very polite of you. A lot of the great Sahaba and scholars including Umar (Ra), Abu Bakr, etc weren't Muslims by birth, so much so, when the Prophet Muhammad PBUH started preaching Islam, they heard and listened and yet waged war against him. Where were their eyes, and ears, and intellect back then? It was later through a chain of events that they came into the light of Islam and they didn't just embrace Islam, but got ready to sacrifice everything for Islam. That woman who became an ex-Muslim is definitely misguided, no question. But she's still alive and there are chances she may even revert back to Islam. My point was that the woman wasn't allowed to ask questions, was horribly mistreated, is called out as an outright idiot, curse etc. and that approach through mockery is not Islamic in any way. She deserves a safe space to have a conversation and if Allah allows she might as well become a better Muslim than most of us. Sorry for typing so much again.

I am sorry to say this, but as a muslim woman I think I've found the most toxic youtube channel related to islam. Mocking an ex-muslim doesn't make you a good muslim, I think it's quite the opposite. Also, she explained why she left islam, because it didn't make sense to her. And it's fine, not everyone has faith and can believe in God. She has her own opinion and we should respect that, not trying to debate it, because there's nothing to debate, she said what she felt and it's fine. The funny part, is that the comment section, thanks to your video, is full of comments making fun of her, and you know what? That doesn't make you a good muslim either... Maybe flying to heaven on a winged horse didn't make much sense to her. Or maybe the fact islam regards women as a second class citizen didn't attract her. Or the relentless nature of Muslims to encourage people to sign up. Or the naming and shaming of people who choose to leave islam. Or in sharia law, the execution you deserve for leaving the religion. Or the stoning to death you deserve for adultery. Or the throwing from the highest height for being gay. Maybe those were good reasons. You see, when the amount of reasons against surpass the amount of reasons for... It's sometimes easier and actually more respectful to just say "It didn't make much sense to me". If you want to force the gory details out of the quran it can be done.

Honestly Islam or Christianity not making sense to you is a pretty good reason for leaving. The existence of a God cannot be proven and as a Christian myself I know that there are many things in the Bible and the Quran that contradict tgemselves and just "don't make sense". I personally believe in it but I think noone who leaves their religion should have should constantly have to explain themselves and 'give a good reason' or something like that. Its not our place to judge or belittle other peoples experience by deriving comedy from their experience. It is also very easy to be an armchair critic and breakdown and analyse other peoples lives, they had their reasons, and perhaps they were far too personal to fully disclose. Dont judge people leave that to the almighty - allah guides who he wills and knows best, leave these people be.

@Lucid Dreamer there are ex Muslim that were born in Western countries and already have a Western nationality. We always blame the ex Muslim that they weren't devout enough they were never really Muslim they never really understood it. But people are dissmisve if they are told that ex Muslim don't agree with the quran. Because you hold quran as the word of god and by that definition it becomes perfect. But do you ever ask yourself what if it wasn't the truth. What if it was all a lie. We should look at the quran objectively. And the quran has so much psychological effect on someone that they even could block them self. Because you can always say who am I to dispute god I am merly a flawed human being while god is perfect by definition. That way you morality can never interferes with god. In Islam we say that people who commit suicide will most definitely go to hell. But my question to you is if god is all knowing and more than thousand people died because someone committed suicide which is on of the biggest sin. In Islam if someone died by not committing suicide we would say that it was his or her time and that only god know. But what if the person didn't commite suicide would those thousands of people have survived but it was there time. Also what if someone is enduring physical abuse every hour in their life by someone else. Most people wouldn't be able to handle that and would rather die. Do you think everyone who doesn't believe in islam should go hell? Because that is what the quran says do you agree with that God? If you say it is not up to me you are simply dismissive and the quran is very clear about it. My answer is no and that is why I don't believe in islam anymore. I live in a country with mostly kaffir people and they are overall better people than the Muslims. And I know Muslims don't represent the quran fully. But according to some scholars even the bad Muslims eventually go to heaven

Ali Dawah. You don't seem to be able to get away from the idea that 1 does not = 0, or to put it another way you have no explanation of how the universe came to be. You simply cannot accept the answer "I DON'T KNOW" I as an atheist accepts that answer just as hundreds of years ago nobody knew about the germ theory of illness, or that light was electro-magnetic waves, or that earthquakes were caused by the movement of tectonic plates and a thousand other things that humans did not know. You substitute for I DON'T KNOW your certainty that the universe and everything was created by a being who is just like a man in all manners and attributes. Who has no needs - but feels the need to punish those who do not worship him Like some despotic medieval king, that you learnt about in a 14 hundred year old book the authors of which thought that the sun set in a muddy pool of water. Who that that the Jews decreed that Ezra was the son of God. It is obvious for anyone with the ability to think that I DON'T KNOW is a better more honest and more realistic and constructive answer because it means that we have to find out the truth through science. The reason these ex Muslims have to make such a big deal about being ex is because it is forbidden to have an opinion that differs from the orthodoxy on pain of death. Just that fact screams that Islam is weak and unable to stand up to reasonable scrutiny.

@zs_0994
@zs_0994 7 жыл бұрын
Trevor Wongsam really huh? U think Islam was written by a man in the 7th century and its just his personal views of God? Well although it was written by our prophet it has so many details that people where unable to understand until the recent century since some matters where only recently discovered through modern medicine. For example the Quran tells how a child is formed in the mothers womb bit by bit without missing anything out. It talked about the science of it and this is a book written centuries ago so how do you explain this? It was obviously knowledge God gave our prophet to tell the followers of Islam. Another point is that many atheists think the fact that God wants us to follow his rules and pray to him is wrong. But let me ask you if you created something so amazing would you not want it to follow all your commands? If you got a pet do you not train it and tell it how to act or react? Of course you will because you love that animal and wish the best for it. I personally cannot believe how someone can deny God, like how could atheist just say this was a coincidence and bring up theories by ancient scientists and believe them. In the Quran there are so many details and so much knowledge about the modern world we live in that it is impossible to say that there is no God because how else would we have known these facts centuries ago. I'm not trying to fight with you I just want to know your views.
@trevorwongsam8178
@trevorwongsam8178 7 жыл бұрын
ZS_099 I do appreciate your views my friend, I just think that they are so wrong and illogical. Regarding the miracles of science in the Qur'an, In the first place the Qu'ran gets a lot more wrong than it gets right. I do not need to refer back to my original post about the setting of the sun do I? Regarding the child in the womb. I believe that woman have always had miscarriages and it is not just a recent invention. Observations can also be made from animal fetuses. The most illogical point that you have made however is comparing God to man and man to pet, or animal. This is ridiculous, In the first place, we can only make pets out of very intelligent and advanced animals who are close to us in the sense that they have perception on our level not bees and ants. (who Solomon talks to in the Qur'an) If there was a being complex enough to create the most complex object we can imagine (the universe) we would be like bacteria to such a being much less a pet. No mate, you have to comprehend the fact that relations like master and slave, Boss and employee, king and subject, are relations between human beings only. To worship a king, a pharaoh or a Caesar is still a relation between humans on the same level. Allah as depicted in the Qur'an as such a man with all the human attributes like merciful, beneficent, angry, jealous, and mankind are ungrateful. The invented god is a mirror image of ourselves. The fact that he has super-human attributes like Immaterial, all knowing, eternal etc contradicts his human attributes and proves that the existence of such a being is impossible.

Tasin Al-Hassan. I don't think the Surahs that you have quoted really help your case all that much. Surah 8;22 "For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb - those who understand not." Surah 18:29 " Say, "The truth is from your Lord, let him who will believe, and let him who will reject. For the wrongdoers we have prepared a fire whose smoke and flames, like the wall and roof of a ten, will hem them in: if they implore relief, they will be granted water like melted brass that will scald their faces. How dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a coach to recline on!" To add further insult to injury check out the following verses that directly concern apostasy from the Qur'an Surah 3-90-91 "But those who reject faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of faith - never will their repentance be accepted: For they are those who have of set purpose gone astray 91 As to those who reject faith and die rejecting - never would be accepted from any such - as much gold as the earth contains, though they should offer it for ransom. For such is in store a penalty grievous and they will find no helpers. Surah 3-106 "On the day when some faces will be lit up with white, and some faces will be in the gloom of black, to those whose faces will be black, will be said, "did you reject faith after accepting it? Taste then the penalty for rejecting faith." Surah 4-89 "They but wish that you should reject faith, as they do and thus be on the same footing as they, but take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah from what is forbidden. But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever you find them: And in any case take no friends or helpers from their ranks.
