The game calls it enmity, but everybody calls it aggro instead. Also, remember the song at the end of the Melee DPS video? He actually made a full song out of it. The name is 'Spooky Slice'.

As a tank main, a few things. -Everyone uses "Aggro" instead of "Emnity." -WAR is easy but really effective. Great for everything. Fewer Fell Cleaves per burst rotation in DT but the full skill kit at 100 more than makes up for it. -Once you're main tanking in 8man content, beware of passive aggressive off-tanks that'll quietly rip aggro from the main tank then trash talk when they're called out on it by the rest of the party. (Likely cuz the off-tank killed several people due to a tank cleave aimed the wrong way). -What JoCat's described for healing is what we lovingly call it "Healer Limbo." AST and SGE have the prettiest LB3's. -Slidecasting is something that's different based on your latency. If you have the "bestest" latency, you can slidecast at 0.5sec left on the cast. -While out of date, the "Break the Limit" video from the FF14 youtube channel shows all LB3's up to Shadowbringers jobs. -A video from Joonbob called "Basics of FF14" talks about things that aren't explained very well in-game, such as weaving and snapshots.

You get Raw Intuition at 54 WAR, you want to use that as often as possible, in a dungeon more or less when you finish the pull to start actually fighting. For bosses mostly on cooldown unless you know the boss is about to disappear. It has a super short cooldown and is also mitigation and healing both. It turns into Bloodwhetting at high level.

If you want a video to help you get over tanxiety, I highly reccomend LucyPyre's tanking "guide". It's... a little bit of a guide, but it'll get you in the right mindset. Also you can pick up Dark Knight now. You just have to be in Heavensward. It's story is so good they let the lady who wrote it write an entire expansion (Shadowbringers).

As a healer, I am Judge, Jury, and Executioner. Also, considering the number of 0.1% wipes I've had, his "Who is dealing more damage" point is especially poignant.

Tanks Dark Knight- Has a great story and you can definitely pick it up at level 60. Consider it if you get bored of warrior Paladin- It's a lot of fun, and I'm more than happy to show you if you like DPS Reaper- My NA main and one of my favorite jobs. I can show you this one too (Again if you want) Ninja- Also a lot of fun! I have my anime hand signs macro'd so I don't have to worry about memorization Dancer- You've seen me play this, but once again I'm more than happy to show you how they work Bard- This is the job that has the LB3 with all the shiny arrows. They have great hats too xD Healer Astrologian- Again, this is a job you've seen me on. (Sexy librarian ftw) Super fun. Love the space aesthetic of some of their spells! Sage- My other favorite healer. I can show you this one too xD But yes, enmity is usually just called aggro or threat. As long as you have your tank stance on you'll be fine. Once you get used to staggering your mitigation it's a cakewalk. Also, having a god complex as a healer can be fun. So is playing tank limbo. How low will you go before the healer stops keeping you on your toes? NOW GET OUT THERE AND DO BEEEEEEEG DAMAGE!!! xD

While I prefer playing healer when I can just heal most of the time and don't have to worry too much about my damage output, the fact that you have to deal damage as healers does differentiate FFXIV from a lot of other MMOs which is a good thing. I'm sure there are other MMOs that do demand healers do damage but FFXIV is the only one I've played so far that do.

Best way to learn healer is by leveling with it. And easiest one to learn I believe is Scholar - or at least it was 2 expansions ago, since I started playing healers in SHB. But if you main summoner, then I guess you should start with different healer, so White Mage is also a decently solid learning experience. leave Astro and Sage until you have some healing knowledge imho.

Yeah, in FFXIV you have 4 people in a party. A tank, a healer and 4 dps.

I believe Dark Knight only needs lvl 30 and the beginning of Heavensward.

Summoner is much much easier then shadowbringers. It used to have a very ststic 3 minute rotation. Now its just big summon. Fruit gummies. Next big dummo . Fruit gummies

"As if a fight is going to get so close that-" As someone who's currently in the endgame, i've on multiple occassions been in fights that got so close you could hear everyone in the party's butthole clentch through the screen!
