It has come to my attention that many people were not happy with me skipping parts of songs and the like, I apologize for that, and I also don't really know why I did so. It's not something I usually do and I believe it has to do with the fact I haven't felt very positive and upbeat in the last year, I find it hard to listen to these beautiful pieces of music because they force me to be introspective and recognize the things I've done wrong. Again, it's not the band, and it's certainly not the music. It's me that's the problem, I need to be in a genuine and well spirited energized headspace to tackle albums like this, otherwise I have the tendency to drift off in thought and it ruins the experience for both the viewer and myself. So again, my apologies, and thank you for watching anyway. More to come, without the skipping, you got my word.

All good man don't feel you need to apologise at all. Opeth are my 2nd fav metal band of all time after a band called "Death". Hope you're doing ok man! In terms of you wondering which to check out next, all of the following are very highly regarded releases: 1. Ghost Reveries (which you just did) 1.Blackwater Park (Considered there magnum Opus) 2. Still Life (album that brought them mainstream recognition, amazing album and a concept album) 3. Damnation (all clean vocals and very melodic not heavy) 4. Deliverance 5. Watershed 6. My Arms your Hearse

Nice to see you soldiered on and finished the album in the end. Would like to see more Opeth. I think you would like A Fair Judgement, Porcelein Heart, try All things Will Pass also. All those 3 are mellow and amazingly good. If you like them continue with Hessian Peel and maybe Drapery Falls. My favorite Opeth song when you´re up for some harder stuff would be Leper Affinity and The Moor but I get the feeling you´re not liking that stuff anymore. The entire album My Arms Your Hearse does wonders for my mood when I feel I need it, it´s such a unique album with 90s nostalgia wrapped around it. And also, most Opeth songs are hard to truly appreciate if you don´t give them a couple of listens first, they get so much better over time though. It took me some time but I liked a riff here and there so continued to listen, now I´ve been exclusively listening to Opeth for almost two years because they are just that good, and no other music seems to cut it anymore for me.

I will definitely give them another try, and I don't know if I made it clear in the video, but it's not them, it's me. If I was in a different state of mind, I'd appreciate them a lot more I'm sure of it.

🔥🔥❤Opeth❤🔥🔥 I'd recommend more Opeth, but it would be more of what you don't want to listen to. So instead I recommend: Album - Aphelion Artist - Leprous

I think if I sat down, in high spirits and a calm non stressed out demeanor I'd probably really like many of their albums, truly. I think my headspace needs to change before I can appreciate their work properly.

@@attikonx That makes perfect sense to me.

I would recommend either Blackwater Park as the next album if you're interested in their best work, or Still Life if you're interested in something just as good but with a concept throughout the whole album.

If you want just mellow soft stuff from opeth check out Damnation album Or rather soft stuff like Devil's Orchard (That's actually the heaviest song from that album) Heritage, Pale Communion, Sorceress or In Cauda Venenum
@georgy1772 күн бұрын
also I can recommend Steven Wİlson (singer from Porcupine Tree) for soft albums
