What Gilbert Arenas forgets is that Riley's run with the Heat did not start with Wade and Shaq, but rather with Zo and Tim Hardaway in the 90s, getting them to the ECF. So every major playoff run the Heat have ever had was with Riley.

This is his fourth decade of getting the Heat to at least the ECF and third to getting to the Finals. This after winning championships with the Lakers and getting the Knicks to the Finals. I'm pretty sure he won a ring as a player as well. Jimmy Butler is great, in my opinion he took the torch from Kobe as that style of player, who took it from MJ, who took it from Dr. J, who took it from Baylor. That being said he is not more important to the Heat, nor will he bring about more winning in the future than Riley. Butler will be gone soon enough, then Riley is going to form the team around Herro, in the same way he formed the team around Dragic after the Big 3. That team eventually built up to the team that lost in the bubble.
