Me and my sister both saw a little girl with pigtails with a white dress at different times in my house. Both were at night but just separate ones. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw her in my doorway but I was half asleep so I went back to sleep instantly. I just thought I must’ve been seeing things. And then my sister a week later describes this little girl that she swears she saw in our house. I hadn’t told her anything about what I had saw or any description. So I asked her to give full detail with what she looked like. She said a little girl with pigtails in white. Exactly what I saw and she had no idea I saw the same thing until I told her after she was finished. Soooo creepy!! We think that it was my grandmother in her child form. My grandmother committed suicide when my mom was ten and some people say that when people die that they take the form of their happiest time. Which was definitely my grandmothers childhood. We believe she was there to watch over us because my family was going through a very hard time. Another weird thing is that on our fridge around this time randomly got this weird stain on it...in the shape of a small body with what looked like pigtails. So this ghost must’ve liked the food LOL

Something like that happened to me in my bedroom. Back when I was around 4, I had this baby doll with a pacifier and every time I left my room, I used to remove it from his mouth but when I go back inside the room I end up finding it back in his mouth. Fast forward to around to three years ago - I have a guitar in the same corner where I had the baby doll. One morning I was ready to go to school when I heard the strumming of my guitar (no one was at home at that time apart from myself and I was actually in another room). A few weeks later my bedside lamp switched on by itself even though it wasn't plugged (this happens frequently and no it doesn't have any batteries). Another thing is that recently I was rearranging my bookshelves - again the same corner, and while I turned around to grab another book, a book just flew from the shelf and ended up almost hitting my back (I actually have no idea how it happened exactly!). Lastly, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and through my wardrobe mirror I see a light standing in the middle of my room. My mom thinks that it's my grandfather, he used to sit with me in the corner where most things happened. Hopefully, he's just watching over me and the incident with the book was a way of telling me that I should read that book.

I do believe in ghosts and have had my fair share of 'supernatural' experiences that I don't think can be explained. I thought this was completely normal for a long time till I heard somebody say that they didn't believe in them it weirded me out for a minute and I was like. "Wait...This stuff doesn't happen to everyone?" lol 😂even with my experiences though I respect when others say they don't believe in ghosts because I don't like to in anyway push my personal beliefs onto others.

AYokMizumi kiaiKazeyuki They happened more when I was younger and there is honestly just too many for me to share 😂but things like hearing conversations right next to my ear at night then turning around and there is nothing there, seeing figures walking around and through things, and just stuff like that. There has been less things happening now that I'm older but they are a little more scary and not as easy to just brush off as if I'm just seeing things. I don't like I'm in danger though and I never really have. Some weird stuff just happens every once in awhile you know? (if you want me to go into more depth with some stories I can.)

In the house I grew up in we would all hear footsteps in the second floor when we were positive no one was there to make those stepping sounds. Like, there were four people in my house, one of them would be working and the other three would be together in the kitchen and then hey, something is walking around upstairs... It happened A LOT for a good few years. My grandmother used to say it was the husband of my aunt, who had passed away there.

Thank you so much for this video, I love hearing about haunted buildings but I at the same time I also do believe in ghosts so sometimes I get too scared lol. There are a lot of ghost encounters that I am skeptical about but sometimes the truth behind a story is so strong it can be chilling. I loved hearing about these hauntings from a skeptic though because it takes the scary side away a little bit and focuses on the stories ^_^ Do you have any spooky/halloweeny books to recommend for next week? I am about to start reading The Wicked Deep and I am really looking forward to it!

Ive studied the paranormal for 10+ years and while I go into the thought of the paranormal skeptically, I have had some personal experiences occurrence. Going off of Willard Library, I remember reading about the hauntings that go on in that library, so much so that it attracted the attention of TAPS - The Atlantic Paranormal Society. Their show, "Ghost Hunters" actually investigated the library. Going off that episode, the "Lady in Grey" is speculated to be Willard Carpenter's daughter who felt that she was "shafted" due to not getting any money after her father passed away. Going off of TAPS, they determined that the library isn't truly haunted, but in the end, that's up for you to determine. The flashlight test is used by professional ghost hunting teams, though it has been criticized over the years.

I didn't think TAPS did a very good job on that episode. They could have focused more on the Library. I wish they would have redone it. I think that was the worse investigation I have seen.

@@flippinohio I feel that TAPS botched a lot of their investigations... this was not a very good - I'll admit. Now, they did have some good ones but a lot were... hit or miss. I actually remember watching an entire season (can't remember the direct number) and little to nothing happening

A couple weeks ago I was at work, covering the cashiers break. While there were people in the store, no one was up front with me. I was glancing down the candy aisle, which is straight ahead from my register, when all of a sudden like 4 bags of candy start swinging back and forth, until a bag of candy just flies off of the peg, landing in the middle of the aisle. There was no one around the aisle, no vents near there. There’s train tracks behind the store, but when this happened, there were no trains going by. My coworkers have also seen figures in the back of the store, when it’s after closing, and it’s just them there. I am definitely a believer!

I do believe in ghosts, I've had occurrences in my family and I discovered that my school library's basement is haunted. I haven't seen an apparition yet, but I'm psychic to a certain degree and I never felt at ease down there. But that's beside the point... You have an amateur writer right here, brother. If you're really interested, I could write up a little story about your author haunted by his character's ghosts. You got me hooked on that. Right now I don't have time, since I've got my first novel to format and it's a heck ton of work, but once I'm free, I could possibly start working on it. What ending do you want? Tragic, happy, how scary should the story be? I'm serious here, you got me hooked, bro. Thx for the suggestion.☺☺☺

I went to a really old boarding school and (among others) our most well known ghost is/was the Old Library Ghost. There were so many stories/encounters of it all the way up until the 90s when the old library was torn down - so much so that in the 50s the teachers made a scary photo of a 'ghost' (it's actually amazing - super spooky white shrouded figure holding a lantern in the corner of the library - really well done) for Halloween one year. When the new library was built that photo was hung up in the hopes of the library ghost finding its way there - but sadly it never has. The photo is still on display in the library entrance

I believe in ghosts. My friend had ghosts in her old house. Ghost give off energy. If it’s a negative ghost, it makes you feel negative and anxious. If it’s a positive ghost, it makes you feel positive and calm. My uncle’s relatives (parents, I think?) wrote a book on haunted locations in Massachusetts and I read a bit of it, but didn’t have enough time. OH MY GOD THE GRAY LADY!!!

Idk if someone has said this already, but wicked is used frequently by New Englanders as an adverb instead of an adjective. For example: “your videos are wicked good!” I substituted “very” or “really” (both adverbs) for “wicked.” So that book store in Salem actually has a double meaning to draw in both the locals, and the tourists. Cool huh? I love words.

I would say i'm a skeptic of almost everything. My husband calls me CSI. I don't believe all ghost stories, like you said, many things can be explained. But, I have seen, heard, and felt things that I cannot explain in every house I've ever lived. When I was a baby, my mother heard me crying and someone singing to me, when she went to my room no one was there. In another house my sister and I both said there's a creepy man in the basement. Years later a friend who also lived in that same house told me how he was afraid of the man in the basement and I got goosebumpies everywhere because I hadn't told him how my sister and I used to think the same thing. I've been saved by an unseen hand pulling me back so I didn't get hit by a car. The house I currently live in was built in 1854. I've had someone go PSSSST! right next to my ear and I could FEEL the breath against my ear, there was no one home at the time except my sleeping baby. I've seen a little girl, which I kept to myself because I didn't want to scare anyone. When my daughter was 3-4 years-old she said a little girl kept waking her up at night wanting to play. I told her to tell the girl to leave you alone and it stopped. I have felt someone sit next to me on my bed. I've felt my bed shake numerous times. When my son was 3-4 he said a man comes to his room at night sometimes and sings to him. He wasn't afraid of the man. I was going through old pictures and found one of my stepdad who passed away many years ago. My son pointed to the picture, surprised, and said that was the man that comes to his room. My stepdad and mother played in a band together for over a decade. I've smelled my stepfather's cologne here (growing up with him we lived 1,500 miles away and my husband doesn't wear that cologne). I've heard his laugh, he had this distinct laugh. There's a spirit in our house that likes to play tricks, and I'm pretty sure it's him because that's something he used to like to do. There's lots more LOL I'm not afraid of our house. I don't feel like these spirits are here to hurt us. In fact, it gives me peace thinking that maybe I'll get to be a spirit and watch out for my loved ones after I've passed.

I live in the St. Louis area and have never heard of the Book House. Gonna have to check it out. Don’t know where you are in Missouri but you ought to take one of the haunted tours at the old Missouri State Penn or old town St. Charles. I’ve never experienced anything but those tours definitely made me wonder. Plus the state penn is just super cool.

you said you wanted to read a book about an author who is haunted by his characters that he killed off, Mr Fox by Helen Oyeyemi is a great one! and The Other Alice by Michelle Harrison, a wonderfully magical middle grade book about a girl whose characters come to life ☺️
