Taylor Swift already blew my mind with the first song of hers that I ever heard the other day called BLANK SPACE. After reacting to that song, a user commented suggesting that I check out a song of hers called READY FOR IT.

If you want some songs with a similar feel, the whole Reputation album is very dark pop/ hip hop/ synths If u want to see a nice live performance, I would recommend Ready For It specifically from the Reputation Tour And Don’t Blame Me from the Reputation Tour But every one of her albums has its own unique sound and vibes

Yea I love darker sounding music. Honestly it's why I never bothered checking into Taylor Swift because I assumed she was this cute lil blondie "America's sweetheart" type of woman where all her songs would be happy happy boring music! So far I've been shocked! I love dark sounding music, darker sounding synths, love songs that have that 80's electronica type of feel! Think of songs like "NIGHTCALL" by KAVINSKI!

Just to clarify, Taylor wasn’t a contestant on American Idol. She was an advisor/cosch on The Voice, but she never competed on one of those shows. Lots of people have covered her songs on them, though, so maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?

@@JodiHansen-l2r my favorite genre to produce and write for is hip-hop. I've been obsessed with heavy Bass since I was a young child and that's what got me into music and even more so what got me into the genre of rap music. Despite that I won several talent shows in grade school when I was very young playing classical piano and learn to play classical music when I was very young. I love most genres of music other than gospel and jazz. When it comes to my ability to write I could write for all genres because I've been heavily into writing poetry my entire life and that's what led to me finally starting to write music by the time I was a teenager and I'm now in my early 40s ❤️

Reggie is so cute. Anyway, it is better late than never, you are one of many just now discovering that there is more to Taylor than Shake it Off. Taylor's Reputation Album is her bad b!tch era. This album is a response to what Kanye and Kim put her through. Kanye called Taylor (he recorded it), he wanted to get her okay with some lyrics for his song Famous. When the song came out, the lyrics "I made that b!tch famous" Taylor immediately said she did not give her approval. Kim then edited that illegal recording and posted it on social media, calling her a liar and a snake. The hate became so bad, that Taylor dropped out of sight for a year, and then she made her come back with this album. Someone leaked the original recording a few years later showing who the real snakes are. The songs Look What You Made Me Do (MV) and This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things are primarily about Kanye. The EAS Music Channel has the best quality footage of her live performances, the studio version is of course on her channel. Glad you are giving Taylor a chance. Here are a few facts, Taylor primary is the main writer sometimes with co-writers (but not many), Taylor plays piano, acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, and the ukulele. Most of Taylor's band and backup singers are still with her. Taylor is 5'11". Taylor's fan base is primarily her age because they have grown up with her, and the younger generation became fans through their parents, but ever since she created folklore and evermore she has gained the attention of the older population. There was a lady who for her 89th birthday went to Paris to see Taylor at the Eras Tour. Taylor made a film of the Eras Tour, I saw it in the theater with my 23 y/o granddaughter, and it was awesome. Taylor sold the rights to it to 'Disney for $300 million. You can see it on Disney Plus, it is close to 3 hours long. The actual performances are 3.5 hours long, Taylor trained singing while on a treadmill, for better breath control. She does all her albums which was 10, but now she added her new double album The Tortured Poets Department/The Anthology. Taylor's favorite number is 13, she was born December 13th 1989. Taylor is very devious, she likes to hide clues in her MV for upcoming releases and such, we call them easter eggs. She continually reinvents herself with each album, so she is still relevant. All night while at work I was walking around with the chorus for this song buried inside my head! I guess I'm mostly shocked that her music seems to cater to more than just women. I don't mean to sound sexist, but often times I've found myself not being a fan of many musicians that are women just because their music doesn't seem to cater to MOST men. But so far with the songs I've heard from Taylor her songs have grabbed even my attention and that's very hard to do! I'm going to react to song "FORTNIGHT" ft. Post Malone since I'm already a Posty fan! And Reggie says thanks! He really is the best dog! I need to get a second camera setup that's focused on him! He'll be the reason I 3/4 the subscribers! 😂

I didn't know about the whole Kanye calling her and asking if he could mention her in a song and then going out of his way to be a turd like that! Of course I remember when he got up on stage in the middle of her acceptance speech that one year and tried to make it all about Beyonce. But didn't know about him saying that he made her famous! You got me wanting to listen to all the songs you just mentioned! I love when people write music when they feel their backs are up against the wall! Diamonds are found in the rough! And look where Kanye is today and look where Taylor is at! He's gotten extremely odd and even more controversial over the years!

@@Mista808 Kanye has done Taylor dirty three times. The first one, of course, is what you mentioned. He later apologized. Then, later, he called her and said he was receiving an award and would she be the presenter. So when she presented it, she was standing there, he told everyone that having Taylor present the award to him was about the ratings. Then of course apologized. Then down the road 2016 was the Famous incident, he even made a MV with a look-alike doll of Taylor in bed with him and Kim. Also, one of the lyrics was him saying Taylor Swift might owe him sex. Reputation came out in 2017. Kanye is still trying to take Taylor down through Candice Olsen, that is until she lost her job. Candice did about 4 or 5 shows (that I know of) tearing Taylor down. Kanye and Candice are friends.

@@jadegold8339 I can't promise that I'll do a good job reacting to a full album. I suffer from severe ADHD and I pop in and out of my studio room every 10 to 15 minutes lol! I'm usually itching to get out of the room even on the short 10 to 15 minute reaction videos I've been uploading! I'll consider it though and will maybe do it when I have a couple days off or perhaps I can make it seem like it was all one session but I can edit myself in 😭😂

@@shelleynull6532 after digging a little deeper I'm now getting mixed information but if I were to bet my life on it I swear I remember seeing her on American Idol when the show was still relatively new and its first three seasons and if you google it you will find information that she actually did sing on the show despite never being an actual contestant but I could've swore I recall her being an actual contestant that nearly won! It was the year they had some white guy that was really good at beatboxing but he was also a fantastic singer! Possibly confusing it for a different show that is similar? Perhaps I'm willing to eat crow if that's the case ❤️
