Blitzø is basically envious of Moxie and Millie's relationship. He essentially wants what they have, but can't because fear always causes him to push people he genuinely has feelings for away. It's also why he's overprotective of Loona, because he wants her to have a better life than he did, and tries his best to be the best father he can be so that she doesn't succumb to the same mistakes he made.

I think the fact that Stolas happily went into a public place with Blitz in the first place shows he's not ashamed of Blitz, but he did not expect it would be Asmodeus' own establishment (or at least didn't expect that Asmodeus himself would be there), and then he didn't expect to be publicly put on blast in that manner (probably more expected just gossip pieces and comments here and there). I think what made him most ashamed was when Ozzie brought up Octavia (his pupils show when Octavia is mentioned) because he's ashamed of how his actions have hurt his daughter, and I think he hid, not even wanting Blitz to look at him. Unfortunately, Blitz interpreted him hiding his face as being ashamed of him and confirming his fears that Stolas isn't genuine at all with him, thus leading to him pushing Stolas away even when Stolas suggests non-sex related activities, as Blitz believes they probably are just precursors to sex. So Stolas is told, when he thinks he was asked on a genuine date for the first time, that really all they have is "stolas wanting to fuck blitz," confirming to Stolas that it's really just one-sided on his part, that Blitz doesn't even like him, and he majorly screwed up with the whole grimoire deal cause he thought it was something they both wanted and was an excuse to keep seeing each other. Basically, they each think the other doesn't actually care when they do. What a mess!

I see others have pointed out Blitz scribbling himself from the pictures. A few more easy to miss details for this episode: In the first pic we see on Blitz's phone, he took a selfie with a soft smile, next to a sleeping Stolas. He drove Stolas home even though Stolas can teleport. It's hard to see, but Blitz starts tearing up a bit when talking to Stolas in the van at the end (when saying he's not in the mood, he pauses talking for just a moment, takes a breath, holds up a finger and puts his other hand up to his face. If you look close you can see tears he's holding back). These and the fact that this night affected him and hurt him so much leads us to believe Stolas' feelings may not be quite so one sided as it first appears. It's just that Blitz's fear of intimacy and his self loathing cause him to keep him at a distance, and Stolas unintentionally coming off as talking down to him until now hasn't exactly helped. It's also worthy to note that Blitz's mother in the photo is wearing the same red skull choker Blitz always wears.

This show really lured us in with funny imps making sex jokes with horny demonic owls and then was like "Hey btw we're gonna staple your testicles to your heart and then speedbag them in tandem with your emotions" like okay damn pretty sure that's a war crime against my emotional health but alright

It’s never stated explicitly, but it’s heavily implied that Blitzø follows Millie & Moxxie because he _desperately_ wants what they have (a loving, supportive, stable relationship), but doesn’t feel like he could ever have it for himself, because he hates himself deeply and sees himself as someone unlovable/unworthy of love. (For example: Note the way he’s scribbled out his own face in all the photos hung up on the walls in his apartment.) So, he stalks M&M in order to try and live vicariously through them, and get at least a glimpse of what he believes he can never have.

Also love in hell is kinda a "unheard" thing, because all the other characters has some sick and twisted relationships (Stolas and his wife) - at least for Blitzos point of view.. Blitzo wants love, and yes, at the same time, thinks it's nearly impossible. Though Millie and Moxxie proves that it can be - it takes both side and a lot of work, but love can be fullfilled one

The way I interpret Blitzo’s reasoning for following Moxxie and Millie, and why he has this “obsession” with their relationship (I feel like most fans also agree on this as well), is because he too wants to be in a relationship like those two are. That relationship being happy, stable, and supportive. But because of past events that will be explored and explained in later episodes, Blitzo fears about losing those he loves, so he pushes those he loves away from him. Doesn’t help that he also hates himself deeply and thinks he’s incapable of being in love.

Asmodeus is voiced by James Monroe Iglehart, he is famous for playing the Genie in Broadway Aladdin. And by the way... you already heard him in this show before... he also voices Vortex... the Hellhound working for Blitz's ex Verosika. Also just for the record... Ozzie AKA Asmodeus is the Ruler of the Lust Ring.... he's one of the Seven Deadly Sins, he's one of the most powerful beings in Hell.... being only out-ranked by the King of Hell himself Lucifer, his Wife Lilith and Charlie the Princess of Hell.

It's basically how they're saying here. Blitzø is sort of acting on his envy for what he doesn't think he can ever truly have - a normal, loving, supportive relationship. Only problem is his deep-rooted fear of real intimacy with others that we got a look into in the previous episode. Blitzø is both literally and figuratively scarred by past mistakes and traumas, and as a result he constantly stews in his own self-loathing to the point where he pushes away or gets nasty with anyone who gets too close to cracking the walls he's set up around himself. We see three examples of this in all so far; one with Stolas in this episode, where Blitzø kind of just deflects him as he's trying to reach out and salvage a bad situation; plenty with Moxxie who he constantly berates and acts even more crass around than with anyone else; and of course, his past relationship with Verosika (who it's shown he was evidently quite happy with at a point in time, judging by the photo of them together in his phone) where he just acted out in the most deliberate self-sabotage possible. Notice how among the major figures we've met so far known to have some relation to Blitzø, the only ones to not show up in his hallucination last episode were Loona and Millie since he doesn't feel he's majorly F-ed up with them in any way. And then you have Stolas... Indeed, his relationship with Blitzø started as something almost totally transactional and very much toxically screwy, where both parties get what they each want in the most twisted way possible. After this night, though, Stolas has started to realize (perhaps from watching Moxxie and Millie) that he now wants to make an effort toward it being something more; it's no longer just a shallow game to him. He doesn't seem to really have a grasp of what to do, but he is clearly trying to salvage the situation and try to reach out and comfort Blitzø after the events at Ozzie's. It kind of sucks because in Blitzø's view, Stolas is just this over-thirsting, disingenuous, condescending superior noble who is basically renting him the grimoire's use in exchange for providing him with shallow amusement and thinks of the assassin as nothing more than a novelty and a lower plaything. And unfortunately, the blame for that viewpoint doesn't fall completely on Blitzø; Stolas does kind of tease and speak of him like a lower plaything from time to time (even if it's most likely not intentional). Even in the last episode, he outright called Blitzø his "impish little plaything" when he stepped in to intervene against the DHORKS. It's going to take a lot for Stolas to really get through to him in this, and honestly, there's a very realistic chance he might not.

Commenting because I love pointing this out for people who are caught up; when asked if he is in a relationship with Blitzø, Stolas covers his face in shame. You can see Blitzø wincing at this. His disposition towards Stolas changes from then on in the show.

Blitz wants what Moxxie and Millie have, a healthy and happy relationship, but do to his self-hatred (crossed out his own face in every picture on the wall) that he can't actually pursue it so lives through them. A bit of reflection Asmodeus and Stolas. Ozzie wasn't calling out Stolas but actually praising him for his Lust-full action, however he misinterpreted and thought it was only Lust when actuality Stolas does love Blitz. Also Stolas was surprised because no one would dare bring something like that up to a Goetia despite him being extremely opened about it for fear of his wrath except someone like Asmodeus, 1 of the 7 Sins of hell (Lust), rulers of all and subservient to only Lucifer the first Sin of Pride and King of Hell. With the phone at the end I would say almost every single picture in there is important for different reasons, for example Fizz is actually a childhood friend of Blitz, and the white scar covering Blitz's face it wasn't always there. We've actually seen his sister in pictures before and the other woman was a sister in the pilot but that's non-canon and it is his mom.

I will say, as you probably noticed, the show slowly moves on from being episodic to having a much more coherent story and character development while still keeping a lot of the humor and violence. Some people are not a fan of this but I personally enjoy the move from purely episodic. Hopefully you'll also enjoy delving a lot more into backstories and relationships. The voice acting and especially the singing done by the actors is so wonderful. James Igleheart immedietly made me fall in love with Ozzie (Asmodeus.)

By this point, even though we don't know why yet, we know that Blitz hates himself. He doesn't believe he's worthy of love. So he can't believe that Stolas would actually care about him--and Stolas didn't do ANYTHING in this episode to change that notion. When he's called out at Ozzie's, he *tries to run* and then covers his face with a menu as though he's ashamed of being there with Blitz. Then, when they're alone, he invites Blitz IN PRIVATE to come inside and talk and cuddle, immediately after being unwilling to stand up for Blitz or their relationship in public. Stolas messed up big time here. And it doesn't help that their relationship began as a not-entirely-consentual one with Stolas using his grimoire as currency for sex. While Blitz isn't necessarily "fussed" about it, it's also not the best way to begin a relationship if you want someone to think you actually care about them. Luckily, Stolas has realized that ("Look My Way") and wants to set Blitz free to give him the chance to come back on his own terms. But here, in "Ozzie's," Stolas really drops the ball.

Though you're right about him unintentionally coming off as demeaning to Blitz, Stolas /has/ shown at least some hints that he wants more in a relationship than just sexual. He's invited him and his friends out to nonsexual events like Loo Loo Land and the harvest moon festival, and he was clearly excited for this "date", the one to call it a "date" 2 or 3 times, and got all dressed up for him. He even said "how romantic is this?" It's just Blitz either doesn't see it or is in denial because he's keeping him at a distance. It's possible he was going to run away but I saw it as he was about to get up to help Blitz, but then he was stopped and called out by Ozzie. (Plus if he was going to run away why have Blitz drive him home when he can just teleport?) And on the hiding his face behind a menu part, I may be wrong but I think that may have been a misunderstanding. He hid his face when his family (or more specifically his daughter) was brought up. I think he was ashamed of himself and how his actions hurt Via, not ashamed to be seen with Blitz. Again, I could be wrong, but that's how I interpret it.

@@pie1o1morris46 He spent the entire time at LooLoo Land making sexual innuendos. He wasn't much better at the Harvest Moon Festival. By the time we get to Ozzie's, yes he's excited to be on a real date with Blitz, but I wouldn't call him inviting Blitz to LooLoo Land or the HMF to be attempted dates or nonsexual. Sure, Stolas can teleport, but in panic mode he might not think to do so. And by the time Blitz says it's time to leave, Stolas has already been physically held back by Ozzie, who is more powerful than he is. It's possible he was hiding his face about his family, but the important thing is how *Blitz* interprets that action and it's very clear from his reaction that he interprets it as Stolas being ashamed to be there with him. This episode is literally the first time Stolas *ever* shows any actual nonsexual, romantic interest in Blitz. Then he screws it up the first time he's called out by someone who can affect his social standing. With Blitz's self-hatred, he'd misinterpret far less... it's really not surprising at all that he doesn't believe Stolas wants anything more than just a sexual relationship. Stolas really messed up here.

Blitz haaates himself. Literally has no self worth at all... for reasons I'll not be the one to spoil. Even what he has with Stolas is tainted by their deal to such a degree that Blitz feels like he's only Stolas's toy. Something to be used and thrown away when the shine wears off. Unfortunately, that thought process was was pushed into overdrive at Ozzie's when Stolas hid behind the menu after being called out in public. BTW I genuinely believe Stolas was surprised at being called out for being with an Imp because, while he knows his station, he's never had to come face to face with its public barriers before. Also, to be clear, Ozzy was digging on Stolas for cheating but not for being with a lower class demon. That was most of the crowd... Just pointing that out... for reasons.

So you aren't really missing inormation and more of a lot of things in this world is implied. You really are rewarded for going back to past episodes and watching the background and reading things. But it is implied that Blitz seeks a healthy relationship like Moxie and Millie has but is also scared to be in such a relationship where he pushes people away rom him. He ignores obvious signs of people caring about him and assumes the worst due to self loathing. It is implied throught the season in subtle ways, just like Stolas's love for Blitz is implied throughout the season to be more than just physical as suggested upon first seeing him.
